I needed to get the hinges replaced on a noisy inside door of my house (the joys of being a new homeowner), and I got several responses from contractors across Yelp. Andrei's stood out both because it was the lowest price quote, and he had the best reviews of any other respondent. It seemed a little too good to be true, but I figured it was worth taking a chance. I'm glad I did, because Andrei IS too good to be true, and yet he exists. Excellent communication, punctual, thorough and completely self-sufficient, the hinge replacement process started off great. Then, after expertly replacing the hinges, and even sanding a bit at the base of the door where it caused the door to stick when opening and closing, he checked to see how the door opened and closed - the door was now blissfully quiet, but still stuck, and he identified the door latch and plate as needing to be adjusted. Above and beyond! The door works perfectly now, it's literally like a new door. And because the door was to my mother-in-law's bedroom, having Andrei provide this superlative service scored me a few points with her (well, at least for a few hours, until she found something else to grumble about). He also left the space clean, and was very courteous from start to finish. I am so thrilled to have found Andrei, because as a new homeowner, I am discovering fun new surprises in the house that I purchased late last year all the time. I pre-ordered my carpet expecting a quick install and had to wait 2 years because the closing of my place was delayed and they held the carpet for me and did the install after i finished renovations. Lovely people work there and some of the hardest working crew. the price was amazing for the quality of the carpet. it was soft and plush just like i wanted. Hope i don't have to install again for at least 10 years but if i do i will be using them in the future.

I will begin with the positive: the design was good…read more The rest is all negative. I had an awful experience. Vinny was extremely disorganized and has zero attention to detail. After the project was "complete" I had to fix things on my own because he stopped answering my calls. My fault for paying the final balance. Lesson learned. The grout job was awful, the caulking from bathroom vanity to wall began to peel within a week, and there are still unfinished edges in the kitchen and bathroom. I used Custom Choice Builders based on a recommendation from a neighbor and have since learned she is too nice to give an honest review. Again, lesson learned. Every day I am reminded of my poor decision making and poor workmanship that went into a very expensive kitchen and bathroom renovation. Please do not make the same mistake as I did.

Robert was referred to us, and he was extremely professional, courteous and responsive by text and phone. We booked a time and day, and he showed up as scheduled with insurance in hand. We vacated our apartment and Robert and David moved our furniture and finished the job in four hours! They used a fast-drying low VOC poly that dried in an hour and it looks great. There's no smell if you have kids or pets. I had a minor issue and, true to his word, Robert returned to fix it. He's a pleasure to deal with and most of all, he's honest. You won't be disappointed!
