My car's passenger side window had a crack in it from a rock on the highway. I live in the neighborhood, price was reasonable so I took it in. They finished less than hour. I paid the bill and the owner backed out my car, when he raised the window it went down without using the switch. He tried several times and he asked me to return to waiting area. He took about another 1/2 hour. He couldn't get it to work. He took my vin # and told me to take my car home he'll figure out the problem. My car is a newer model and he was not familiar with how to reset it. Brought it back the next day and another guy put in another window and had the nerve to charge me more money. He said the owner said to charge me. I was inconvenienced and the first window was defective. Why is this my problem? Why do I have to pay for this? I wanted to help small business but it's not worth it when they charge you more for their incompetence. I will not recommend. I hope it was worth the $20. read more

A rock landing on my windshield a month ago, leaving a tiny "star- shaped" defect turned into a long crack nearly completely crossing my windshield overnight. Was able to get appointment right away Estimate was slightly less than another company I consulted. Staff was extremely professional. Windshield was replaced exactly in one and half hours as promised. My car was as clean and cared for as when I dropped it off. Next time I will take it to Inter Auto Glass when the rock pick first happens as they said they can repair that before needing an entire new windshield, but either way, will return to and recommend Inter Auto Glass. read more

Small place so you get personal attention. The prices were amazing. The service was clean and fast and professional. The workers were really nice. They were able to get me in last minute without problems because i was scared to drive my car since the windshield was cracked and was getting worse. They did an awesome job. After the awful experience I had with Gerber Collision and Glass on N. Halsted Ave, I took my 1968 Plymouth to inter auto glass. They found, ordered, and received brand new glass for my car in less than 3 hours. It was done and installed the same day. Wow! Parts for this car are incredibly hard to find, but these guys found it and had it installed in record time. Every other glass place in Chicago said that it was not available at all, and waved me off like scum. I was treated kindly and with respect at inter auto glass. Gerber Collision was disrespectful, rude and treated my car violently like it was junk, ruining several expensive parts including my chrome trim and the windshield seal gasket. These guys are awesome and know exactly what they are doing. They even cleaned everything up nicely after it was done.. Highly recommended for any auto glass needs. Woke up this morning to find my car's back window smashed out. Called around to find a reliable place to fix it as soon as possible because I'm going out of town this week. I am rebuilding a 1970 Camaro. As part of that process, I needed the rear window removed (preferably in one piece for a future reinstallation) to do some welding. After doing some research, with both printed and online sources, I realized that this job was best left to a professional. I called several of the major auto glass repair brands (like the one that will go to the zoo to repair your windshield), but none of them were interested in attempting the removal. After some searching online, I ran across the Web site for Inter Auto Glass. Right in their web site they state that they do work on antique cars. I called and explained what I needed done and they immediately said that not only could they do the work, they would be able to do it the next day. A technician arrived at the appointed hour and within a very short time he was able to remove the window in one piece. Additionally, the price they charged was extremely reasonable.
