It all started with a louder than normal THUNK on my windshield as I was driving down the highway behind a truck. I looked around my windshield to check for any chips and was glad to see none. Little did I know there was a chip about an inch from the base of the windshield barely visible as it was in the blackened edge of the glass. Well, just like Jack's beanstalk that little sucker grew into a 6 inch crack overnight and the next morning I finally noticed it. So I called my dealer and was quoted $1000 to replace the windshield [Insert shocked face here]. And after a quick Yelpy Yelp search I found Richard. Responded quickly, squeezed me in that day, and best of all came out to me! Took all of an hour to complete the basic windshield replacement, price was waaaaay more reasonable than the dealer, and he was so great at explaining everything. Richard was incredibly friendly and helpful, and he was almost half the price as Safelite! He explained clearly a potential additional cost to replace a molding when replacing my wife's windshield (which he ended up being able to salvage her original molding at no additional cost). He came to my wife's office and replaced her windshield on site. She was very impressed by how quickly he worked, and how friendly he is and told me to give him 10 stars on Yelp....I'm not sure that's how this works tho lol. RGC's Auto Glass was the fifth auto glass repair/replacement provider that I contacted for my Honda Odyssey' cracked windshield. I called on Saturday and left a message. I'm driving to work on a Monday morning, minding my own business when - boom - (not sure how else to convey a tiny pebble thwacking my windshield) - a new crack on my windshield. A new experience, even after driving for 15 years. Called Richard. Got a call back in an hour. He came to my car, just a few hours later. Polymer-ed my crack. And also fixed the lining of my windshield, which I had somehow broken and had fixed with black duct tape for the better part of a year. He offered to fix this at no extra charge. This is my very first yelp review after YEARS of reading them. Rich was a life saver! I called at around 10:00 PM at night after my neighbor knocked on my door letting me know that my car had been broken into and that my driver's side window was busted. He called me back in about 20-30 min and we set up an appointment for the morning. He was very professional and informative. When he arrived the next day we realized that I told him the wrong door window and he offered to get everything done possible so he could come back at 6:30 AM the next morning to easily and quickly pop in the right one, in time for me to get into work!! To top it all off, the people who broke into my car knocked into the hazards so the battery was totally drained. He stayed with me for an extra 45 minutes to get my car charged up and going. My car got broken into and its window smashed. After talking to my insurance company, the auto-glass people they put me in touch with were either going to charge me over $300 or the amount of my deductible $250. A fellow car-break in victim recommended RGC to me and I couldn't be happier. Richard did the work for $150 and he was fantastic. I called him not long after my car got broken into and he gave me a nearly instant quote. He set up the first appointment he had and came to me. The work was fast and he did an immaculate job. He was about to leave and even noticed that there was a piece of glass still lodged in the heater. He pulled his vacuum back out and sucked it right back, making sure he did a perfect job. While Richard ran late (the warehouse that originally said they had the glass stocked did not, in fact), he gave me a free pass on the tax and credit card fee in order to apologize.
