Interbay cleaners is the best dry cleaner I've ever been to by a long shot. They are super friendly, their customer service is great, and their prices are good. I've never had a bad experience in over a year now. Which is very impressive for a dry cleaner. I've never had alterations done there so I can't speak to that. But their dry cleaning is great.. Our Chihuahua frankie peed on our huge hand made balsam hill tree skirt. The pee dried and stained the skirt which was dry clean only. Interbay Cleaners was amazing and got it clean for us. After trying to dry clean it twice, they hey did have to launder it to completely remove the stain but they asked us in advance. They did it by hand and dried it. It is actually nicer now than when it was new. i used to always use helena's on lower queen anne but after they charged me 91$ to clean a ladies Moncler down jacket, I felt that was just over the top. We will no take my girlfriend's favorite shower curtain to them to clean. read more

I took them to small claims court and won. Back In October I took my nephews red and white letter men's jacket here to get cleaned for his senior photos. When I got the jacket back I noticed the white letters and trim had turned pink. The owner offered to re-clean it. A few days later I picked it up and he had turned the letters and trim pinker. After months of trying to get him to replace the jacket he refused. When I served him papers he actually followed me out the door and threw them at me. Claiming that he shouldn't have to pay the whole value of the jacket cause it was a year old. I can understand not replacing it if it was something I bought off the rack at a department store but a letter men's jacket is something that doesn't deprecate in value. I also understand that mistakes happen but as a business owner you have to be responsible for the mistakes you make and he did not. Plenty of cleaners in the area to go to and I would recommend not coming here. read more

Item was not in the store, it was returned to me not on the day I was quoted or several days after as I had to go out of town and returned giving even more time to clean my item. When I dropped it off I asked that special focus be on eliminating any smells possible (vintage purchase). The perfumey smell was even worse after pickup. I wish they had called and said "We can't do this job or meet the deadline." Instead I was chasing communication. Unfortunate, time wasted as was the money I spent. This is my favorite dry cleaner! Daniel is so friendly and always gets my fiancé's shirts cleaned so quickly. We regularly drop 15-30 shirts at a time to get washed and pressed. Daniel is also really great with folding the shirts in a neat stack, making it easier to pack when we travel. I'm always extremely impressed with the turnaround time and the quality. Can't say enough good things about these guys! They are incredibly friendly, highly professional with quick turnaround times and decent prices. Most recently I brought in a white silk shirt that had met an entire bottle of beer. They weren't 100% sure on whether or not they could get it out, and had a great conversation around me regarding what my expectations could be with the end result. Customer Service and Accountability go along way towards keeping loyal customers. We had our baby *leak* onto our pillow top mattress pad. The instructions advised that if you MUST clean it, to use a front loading industrial washer and then gently dry in a light tumble, etc... Not having that, I went to see if these folks could help. The owner immediately took the pillow-top pad and said no problem. I came back several days later and it was cleaned and wrapped up in a roll. I paid 40 dollars and left. I got home, unfurled it, and the fill was ruined. Lumpy to the point of being uncomfortable to lay on. The fill was all clumped up and each quilted 'square' of filling was 90% empty with all of it bunched up in a knotted ball in one corner. I get it, sometimes these things happen. What bothers me is how this was handled. 1) The guy said he could fix the stain. I think it's assumed at that point that in doing so, he won't completely ruin the item. 2) We dropped it off last saturday to the employee and she said she'd have her boss look at it on Monday and give us a call. It's Saturday a week later and we went back to see what was up. 3) After much debate and argument, at the VERY least wanting to get what we paid for the service back. (let alone the 139 dollars the pillow-top cost us a few months ago...) the guy very rudely stated the best he could do was a 38% discount for the service, proclaimed he carried no cash in the store, and wrote us a personal check for $10.29. Are you kidding me? How insulting. NEVER going back, and I urge you to do the same. While it would have been nice to have him own up to ruining it and make restitution, we would have been more or less satisfied with refunding us the 40 dollars it cost for him to clean it. I guess that 40 dollars was worth more than our continued business, or any kind of good will. We had been pretty steady customers there. Obviously, no longer. read more

I love these guys! I'm seriously baffled by some of the other reviews. I've had nothing but fantastic service here, and if something isn't perfect they go out of their way to take care of it, assuming you actually bring it up to them instead of just venting about it online, heh. Case in point--I was picking up a coat today (which was WAY cheaper to dry clean here than at most places!) and the tailor hadn't noticed the button I wanted sewn on because it was under this weird flap in the back and kind of hard to see. I pointed it out and I was kind of hemming and hawing (ha, no pun intended) about whether to leave it with them, so what did the guy do? OFFERED TO SEW IT ON BY HAND ON THE SPOT. And give me a discount for the cleaning on top of the free-of-charge real-time sewing. It was customer service madness, I tell you. I actually ran to Whole Foods to give him a little time to get it done, because I couldn't imagine just sitting there while someone sewed a button on in front of me. It's like, so kind it makes me uncomfortable, you know? This place seriously rocks. AND it uses less skeevy chemicals than most standard dry cleaners, AND it has better prices. And (like many dry cleaners) even though they don't speak perfect English, I've always found them to be super friendly and able to look up our account details with a phone number, so you don't have to awkwardly spell names out, etc. I've lived as a foreigner in places where I was the one who didn't have perfect command of the native language, and I just can't believe people so harshly penalize folks over that in this day and age. As long as there's a good faith effort to get everyone's needs met, why so whiny? Alas, to each their own. I've had nothing but killer experiences here, and I plan on always coming here since it's so damn convenient and affordable and reliable. (The hours and parking are great too. I am surprised that this cleaner does not have Yelp Review!! This cleaner is located in Whole Foods Complex in Interbay right next to Verizon and near Peet's Coffee. I first went to Whole Foods and asked the cashier about good Cleaners near by and they told me about Interbay Cleaners. I am Interbay Cleaners regular customer now ever since last year May. I've been using Dry Cleaners regularly ever since I was young. I love Interbay Cleaners because I can hardly smell the Perc (which is the chemical Dry Cleaners use), so I asked owner and he said its because Interbay Cleaner is Green Natural Cleaning. They are using either Wet Cleaning or Hydrocarbon Solvents! Awesome!!!!! I loved it.. All my cloths turned out really good and never ruined my clothes. I drop off my dry cleaning every other week ever since 2010 May. Never lost my clothes, removed stain pretty good! Owner and the staffs are very friendly! Last thing!! I've had a few experiences at Interbay Cleaners and have been consistently impressed. With dry cleaning, my stuff came back looking great and it was reasonably priced and fast. The service is very friendly. Today I picked up two coats that I had repaired - one just needed buttons replaced but the other was more complicated -- the lining was all torn up, pockets falling off, etc. I wasn't even sure it could be fixed. I got both back in less than a week looking good as new. I will definitely be back here for any sewing repair needs as well as dry cleaning. read more

All the info online says they do, and I was so excited at the convenience of dropping off and picking up dry cleaning and fixed up shoes - but when I went to pick-up, they said they don't fix soles. Friday I realized I was going out to dinner and wanted one of my suits I dropped off. I felt bad for calling an asking but he had no problem and said he would have my stuff done in a couple of hours. They are affordable, located very conveniently for me at the Interbay Urban Center, they will take your clothes out to YOUR CAR to be helpful and most importantly, they do a terrific job on your clothes. They cleaned an antique/heirloom dress of mine that was impossibly discolored and got everything out of the garment and made it look like it was new as of the 1940's when it was made! I've been going to this dry cleaning establishment on and off for a little over two years now, and they've done an exceptional job every time. I've brought in suits, pants, shirts, blouses, and skirts. They've removed any stains I pointed out, and not once have I been displeased with the service they've provided. They also send out promos during holiday seasons, which I always take advantage of, because I can sometimes save anywhere from 20-30% off ALL my items. Lastly, there's one man who always takes my clothes and delicately places them in my car before I can get a word in edgewise. The people here are incredibly kind, flexible, and skilled, and as long as I'm living within the Queen Anne area, I'll choose them above all others. read more

I was almost robbed here ! I am giving this 1 star just because I got the work done in 1 day. Apart from that here goes my WORST experience - I dropped off 3 blankets with them and asked for next day pickup. I was given a green signal for which I also confirmed will there be extra charges/charge difference for next day pickup - and they said NO.. there wont be any additional charge. I asked how much will they charge me. I was not given any amount on the receipt given to me- Neither did the person tell me the amount. The next day when I went for pick up- I was charged 76.something bucks- That is tooooo much for the blankets.. the blankets were not the usual ones- they were the SMALLEST and THINEST- I could buy BRAND NEW blankets in that amount !!!! They should have mentioned the amount on the receipt the previous day. I would not have dropped off my blankets. The person gave me 5 bucks discount (haha!!) and I paid a whopping amount of 71.18 $ . Though the place is near my house, I will never again visit them. I think they tried to cheat me by not telling me the amount previous day. I will tell my friends and family to stay away from this place if they do not wish to get cheated !!!! read more

My first trip to Interbay Dry Cleaners, I brought several shirts for laundering, others for dry cleaning, and a wool sweater for dry cleaning. When I picked my clothes up and brought them home, I saw that my sweater had been shrunk significantly - so much so that I can no longer wear it without feeling like I'm in Saran Wrap. The laundered shirts didn't look pressed, and were covered with shallow creases. And the dry cleaned shirts had hard creases consistently along the sides, cuffs, upper back, and collar. Despite this poor service quality, I gave them another chance because they're priced well and are very nice. I brought more shirts. Same deal - some to launder and some to dry clean. And again, same types of soft and hard creasing. New this time was discoloration. I wear Ted Baker, Vince, John Varvatos, Theory, etc....all expensive stuff. They ruined the sweater, and I now need to take my clothes elsewhere for a proper dry cleaning and laundering. I'm utterly disappointed in the consistently poor quality, and that despite my communicating said disappointment, they made no attempt to offer even a partial refund. We recently used Interbay Cleaners for the first time for my husband's work shirts and my business suits. First, two of my husband's brand new shirts came back with missing or broken buttons. Not a word was said. Generally, with our previous cleaner, they would let us know, have already fixed the problem, or would offer to do so if we bring back the matching replacement button. In several years of going to our former cleaner (who we are not able to access anymore) it happened twice. Second, I put on a suit jacket this morning that I had not worn since Interbay cleaned the jacket. I'm fairly particular about my appearance, and tend to inspect my clothing before putting it on to catch any missing buttons, popped seams, unraveling hems, etc. After going to Interbay Cleaners, a newer suit jacket that was sent there came back with not one, but two seams popped. It looks like the threads were caught on something and ripped. Needless to say, for the cost and our damaged laundry, we won't be returning and will inform our friends, family, and colleagues to stay away. read more

DO NOT GO TO INTERBAY CLEANERS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! This place sucks! I noticed they had some unfavorable reviews, however the location is convenient and the establishment is very clean and well kept. Upon entering I waited for service, even though there were no customers, because the two ladies working were in the middle of a conversation. When one finally took the time to acknowledge me she didn't appear to be paying close attention to my desired alteration. All I wanted was a simple cut and hem on a pair of pants. I showed her that I had folded the pants up exactly where I wanted them cut, right above the stitch line at the cuff. I've done this successfully with other cleaners/ tailors, but apparently this was to difficult of instructions for Interbay Cleaners. I almost walked out when she told me the price; 16.95, I've had this service done for 10.00 at other establishments several times, but again I was a sucker for convenience and cleanliness. Yesterday I got my pants back, they had cut off at least twice as much as indicated, probably three times as much. There is no way I will use the pants, they're way to short! read more

This cleaners is quite convenient for me because I live close by. They are a little pricey but not over the top. Even though they have on site facilities, the pick up date is a little longer than I'm used to. The staff is friendly enough. I haven't had anything altered there so I can't speak to that service.
