The owner was meticulous, (although I imagine frustrated with me) she said this was washed, I pressed however many times trying to get the item back to perfect condition. I didn't expect that. So here is my first and last dealings with this business. I went to pickup my pants on Saturday but was un-aware that they closed at 3pm on a Saturday?? So today I called to get the total amount the woman told I me "I think $14.00 my reply you think??? I would assume the owner should know what she charges then she say $14.12 Now I did need to have one pair sewn which when I dropped off she did say 10 dollars extra so Im thinking $24.00 she rung it up and says $39.00!!!!! Im like ??? she then says Oh the pants are 13.00 each but you just told me on the phone 14.12 total I added the 10 so more like 24.00 No apology for the mis understanding no customer service skills at all and if they were not my favorite (2) pair of pants they would have stayed right there. We've been using Queens Cleaners for 6 years now. This place is run by an older couple who know little about marketing, but a great deal about how to take care of clothing, how to value customers ,and how to make you feel special. I'll give two examples of what makes them special. First, I've had small tears and stains in garments that I sent in for cleaning without highlighting the damage. I never expected these things to be repaired at no extra cost, but they always have been. Second, on more than one occasion I've gone to pay them on picking up items and have been quickly reminded that I paid ahead of time when dropping off those items and picking up my previous batch. It would be easy for them to double charge me or simply not to pay attention, but that wouldn't be their style. Our loyalty to these folks is high. Lovely people. read more

There is so much not addressed in these reviews. 1) listed as dry clean and laundry. No it's dry clean only. 2) 5 day turn around. Wha?? Dropped off 7am Thursday to pickup Monday for... 3) high prices. $7 a shirt. I can get that at a hotel. But at least the quality... 4) no. Sweater with leather patched ruined. They just do shirts and pants. Specifically brought it there for leather, charged $12, wait 5 days and ruined. Best dry cleaner in town? Come on... And finally. 5) slow old payment. My card was stolen online directly after this purchase. I can't say it was their system and in fact I give it only a 5% chance... But wow that's an old slow credit card machine that acted strangely. Tailoring, fixing zippers, and dry cleaning are all taken care of here and they accommodate your schedule well if you have special requests. It makes sad to write this update because after more than 5 years of mostly outstanding service, they ruined an expensive sweater of mine and refused to take responsibility. The label says you could hand wash or dry clean, but the fabric is extremely delicate linen weave with metallic appliqué on the outside of the sweater ... common sense would say that applying chemicals to the fabric would damage it ... in fact, they opted to dry clean it vs. hand wash it and all of the metallic appliqué came off in their machine. While I will agree the manufacturer (Lauren Vidal) should have warned against dry cleaning altogether on the label ... these people did not exercise prudent business sense (or even common sense) when making the choice of how to wash it ... hand washing being the obvious most conservative choice for such a delicate fabric. They're also extremely short-sighted here (and actually quite rude to me in talking about the issue - particularly the husband), as the amount to make me whole for the damaged sweater is about the same as 3 weeks of dry cleaning ... they didn't even offer to pay me anything for the damage ... insisting they handled the garment in the proper manner ... in my mind, clearly not. Will find a new dry cleaner - one that's toxin-free and environmentally friendly (such as Jay's Roosevelt which has a pick-up and delivery service). Queens is not environmentally friendly and has no pick-up or delivery service. read more

I'm 5' and, what with the current fashion being pants for tall women wearing high heels, I have to get 6-8" hemmed off almost any pants I've bought for the last 5 years, sometimes even the petite ones. Queens Cleaners is always kind, timely and does great alterations! Love them! read more

I always get my cleaning down here, great turn around time and fair prices. They seems to ways get all the stain out and take great care of my clothes. I also go here when I nee anything altered. Recently I had to have a fairly nice dress of mine brought in, they got it to fit perfectly. The turn around time was about a week and the prices were fair. read more

They do good work. I have trusted expensive dresses here. My problem (like another recent review) is that I am pressured to pay cash every time I've gone. Red flag for me and now I have stopped going. I believe in paying taxes. If you're okay with paying cash and want a good place to trust that your expensive items will be well taken care of, they are good. I am personally put off by this and it finally prevented me from using them any longer. I've wanted to write this review for a long time now, but don't like writing negative reviews (if you have nothing good to say don't say it kind of attitude), but another recent experience where the business suddenly started asking me to pay cash as well, has brought this up. I'm writing the review in the hope that perhaps these good small businesses will realize they are putting off customers when they do this. read more

I love this place! They got a mysterious stain out of my beautiful white trench coat (rag and bone...not exactly cheap) and even cleaned every button on the coat I. Case the stain came from them! The lady at the front desk is always super nice and even remembers your name when you come in :) I've sent in multiple items, some with stains, some with missing buttons, some with holes, and they always come back in perfect condition. Loving care is given to every item of clothing and the personal service will spoil you. Need a repair? Young will mend for you. Need a quick turnaround? They'll make it happen. Need your shirt rolled to remove pet hair like I do everytime I pop in? Young will roll you clean and send you on your way. I love this business. My clothing is always dry cleaned to perfection. This place is just great - I've come here twice so far and both of the silk tops I've had cleaned had numerous spills and stains on them (gross, I know) but they came back pristine and perfectly pressed. The woman at the desk is a gem..really sweet and when I asked if it was possible to have my camisole ready within 48 hours, she said it was no problem. Excellent service! After the first time visiting, I got very busy and ended up letting my clothes keep piling up until I was able to bring another load in months (and I mean MONTHS) later. The lady remembered me right away and commented that it had been awhile! Of course, it's the quality of their dry cleaning that really matters. In the year I've been going to them, everything has come out great. Yep - remarkable. I came here because all my friends in the area take their clothes to be dry cleaned here and they all said how cute and friendly the dry cleaning lady is. So, I tried it out. Not only is she extremely friendly and tries to remember your name on the return, she's super quick, does a great job, and is economical! I took a pair of slacks, a few dress shirts, and a dress I needed for a wedding, and she had me come back 2 days later and everything was ready to be picked up - stains removed, dry cleaned, and folded very nicely. I didn't know what to expect walking into Queens Cleaners, all I knew is that it was near my home and they were open early enough, I went in around 7:30 a.m., for me to drop off my clothes and get to work on time. The husband and wife team who run this place are the sweetest ever! The wife is super friendly and is always very helpful. I brought in a cream chiffon dress that had so many stains on it (obviously from a great night of partying) that it took almost 2 weeks for her to finish. I was a bit worried about the long wait, but she did an amazing job and the wait was well worth it. She said she had to clean the dress many times, but didn't charge me extra at all. I also brought in a couple coats that had so much dog hair on them that you would think they were growing dog hair! She was able to have them cleaned and completely devoid of any dog hair in only a couple days! Fantastic! These guys are awesome. I've gone there 4 times now. The woman that runs the place remembered my name after the first visit. I've gone to maybe 10 cleaners in downtown Seattle, some 5-star, and they've all ruined my clothes at some point. My shirts are expensive, and sport coat more so so I'm paranoid about who I take my items to. So far, not a single problem. Service is very prompt. I brought in a shirt today that I just needed ironed and she did it in a few minutes while I waited, no charge. If you have pricey stuff you want taken good care of, go here. read more

The owners are so nice. I arrived in Seattle only 2 days before my wedding. The airlines apparently do not really readily hang your dress as people originally advertised. I needed an emergency press. I really can't believe how good these folks are... Having stored clothes during our move to Seattle we found some "mystery" stains on my husband's shirts and on my Vince blouse (which I love). I had tried a different dry cleaner previously in Lower Queen (who was highly rated on yelp). They didn't get out the stains and my husband asked me if they really cleaned his shirts because they didn't look clean. Frustrated, I took to yelp again and found Queens Cleaners. I feel like I found a hidden gem. I pointed out the stain on the Vince blouse to the woman behind the desk (probably the wife) and she made note of it as well as telling me that they will check my husband's shirt collars and sleeves. Boy did they ever. They had to clean the blouse three times to get the stain out but they did it and I don't know what they did to my husband collars but they haven't been that clean since they were new. It was so refreshing to find a business with such good customer service and putting a full effort in their work. I truly appreciated it and hope they keep up the good work because I will be returning. read more

I'm very particular when it comes to cleaning my Burberry raincoat as the last cleaner didn't really take care of it and it came out with more stains than when it went in. After reading the other reviews about this place I decided to give it a try. It seems to be run by a husband and wife team and they did a good job, even removing most of a red wine stain that has set in. The service was fast, dropped off on Friday and picked up on Tuesday morning. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the way she communicates is a bit abrupt, which was a bit startling the first time. When the conversation has ended she just turns away or hang up the phone, no goodbye or thank you as most people would say to signal an end to the conversation, which makes for a bit of a weird customer experience. But I would go back if I had anything else precious to clean. read more
