I walk in and it's such a cool vibe! This is a bookstore that carries all the Hollywood legends memoirs. I saw loads of books on people I admire that I have to come back and get when I finish the ones that ones that I just bought. The attendees were so nice and accommodating. The place felt very inviting and well lit. Although it's a small boutique type, it's still was very full with amazing content and a large variety. The prices are about the same as any other book store as well. I will definitely be back!

Sideshow Books is a mess, but I love it. The selection is amazing. They have old books and new…read morebooks. Their prices are fair and the service is just amazing. If you can't find it, they will help you. they likely have it. We so need more real book stores. Sometimes I have to drive pretty far to get to one. You never know what you will find here. We love owner and the entire staff is just super knowledgeable. You will love this place. Don't trip over some of the books. The place is not huge and those books have to go somewhere. I think it is important to support any bookstores still standing. As I have said before soon they will be gone. What a shame.

Located…read morein Larchmont Village, it's nestled among a strip of casual-chic restaurants and bakeries with cafe seating abound, and prides itself on being the oldest indie bookstore in Los Angeles (established in 1940)...impressive! A friend invited me to his friend's book signing ("Crash Into Me" by Robinne Lee) & it was relatively easy to find free street parking after 6 PM. (Helpful tip: Drive past the strip of shops and you may find parking along the street in front of the strip of homes on either side.) I was warmly greeted by two lovely employees, felt very welcomed and plan to return for future events as well as to peruse the selection of books.

One of my main exceptions to primarily buying (or at least reading) digital copies is art books and TASCHEN is a rare treat for those looking for them. It offers a wide variety of books devoted to art history, ranging from those that focus on the Western Canon, to Erotica and Esoterica. You can find books on Alfons Mucha, Jan van Eyeck and Dali, to 70's era advertisement, to retrospectives on the art of Tarot cards. The cost of the books have a fairly wide range, especially given some of the books are absolutely enormous. However, most of the books, for the quality of the imagery, are quite affordable. This is a must to visit if you are at The Grove.

We got there an hour before they close thinking it was gonna be enough time. Well, we could've been there for a couple hours. The sales people were very nice, not rushing us at all answered all our questions helped us out, but they have so much to look at. We wanted to go through the posters, but didn't have enough time.
