Nice hotel but I'll never stay again. Signed up for the reward program in my last stay and IHG linked my email and phone with someone else's credit card and address. I discovered the problem when I almost swiped to book a room and stopped because the last four numbers of the card didn't look familiar. Checked the profile and that's Not Me. Wrong address, state, and it's not my card. Obviously, I (the Real Me) didn't want to charge Not Me for my reservation, and I wondered who had my name, address and credit card number. Real Me called the hotel, explained the issue, and the operator sent me to reservations. Reservations had no idea what to do and promised the next person would know . . . This happened six times and started an hour long international phone odyssey that left Real Me shocked at the ineptitude of IHG and its reward program. Each time IHG employees passed me off it was with assurance that the reward program and/or fraud prevention would fix it. Instead, each time I got staff who tried to re-define the problem into something simple, like trying to join to accounts--putting Real Me and Not Me on the same account. (Real Me: No, that's not the issue. That's a whole different Not Me person . . .) Or this one: since my phone and email address came up in the computer as Not Me, Real Me is mistaken and I'm actually Not Me. Circular reasoning at its finest--its in the computer so it must be correct. (Real Me: No, I'm not taking the computers word that I'm actually Not Me in a different state where I never lived with a credit card I don't recognize). Really. That happened. Or this one: it's not IHG's problem. I should call the credit card company and change my address. So Real Me should call Not Me's credit company. (Real Me: how can I do that if I don't know Not Me's company, and it's not my card . . .) Or this: Since I stayed at the hotel I should pay my bill. (Real Me: what are you talking about?) Or this: How did Real Me discover it was Not Me's card? Real Me: tried to book a room using the app. Call center: how did you get Not Me's card? Real Me: face palm. Called the hotel and left a message because there's no manager working. I've spent now 90 minutes trying to help Not Me and protect Real Me from fraud. Seems like I'm the only one who cares about that, and I can't trust my personal information to a company that inept. Never again. read more

The hotel was not as nice as I'd expect for the brand but I realized that I was not the demographic since I wasn't there for the clinic (which is attached to the hotel). Most guests were in walkers or wheelchairs or were waiting on informed loved ones. Many guests had at least a colostomy bag or an oxygen tube. This was easy to shake off when in the lobby but not when visiting the hotel restaurant or the club room. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this place has zero relaxing getaway vibe. It feels more like an extended hospital lobby. The staff were enthusiastically helpful though. read more

The service and facilities are everything that you would expect and it is conveniently located along the Euclid corridor, between University Circle and downtown. Fast access to highways, all of that. If I did have a criticism, it would be parking. Valet is the only option on-site. Else there is a lot adjacent, across the street. This review is for the restaurant inside this hotel. Had the 3 egg omelet, delivered via room service. It was visibly overcooked. Brown along the edges!!! The tater tots were tasty, but prices were outrageous as well. Omelet $16, iced tea (in tiny, skinny glass) $3.50. Then they add on a $4 delivery fee (took an hour to get food). Tack on some hotel tax of 18%. Then add traditional sales tax. All this, PRE-TIP, added up to $30. For burnt eggs!! I'd give it one star, but since employee very nice, I'll give it 2 stars. read more

Table 45 is a casual setting with a varied menu , nice selection of wines and cocktails. The service is attentive without being intrusive. They have a salmon entire that I ordered which was excellent and prepared medium as ordered. My wife had several appetizers that we also well prepared. The manager was present in the dining room and stopped twice to see if everything was ok. All the staff were friendly and professional. The pace of service was appropriate and not rushed. A very relaxing and pleasant experience. We will definitely return. read more

Worst "4 star" hotel experience ever. Only room available was 2 "European Twins..." essentially single beds (how romantic). Front desk staff was extremely curt, borderline rude to us. Only parking option is $25 per day valet service. Obvious blood stains on duvet (though it appeared to have been washed). Burned out lightbulbs in room. Scratched up trim and furnishings in room. We attend the Joint College of Bishops Congress here every year and I can't think of a better place to stay in Cleveland than the Intercontinental Hotel. Why does JD Rockefeller get the shaft in this town, he's from here! The hotel is on Carnegie St., not sure what ole Andrew did in this town compared to JD. Well anyway. I stay at various Hotel Intercontinentals often. This is the very best one I've ever stayed at. The lobby is expansive and decorated in a very rich and proper style. There's a library / sitting room off of the lobby that could be in Architectural Digest. The room is all solid wood paneling but the furniture has a certain lightness to it that doesn't make it look like a place to just smoke cigars. There's just one pretty bad thing about this hotel and that is the location. Or at least what you have to travel through to get there, provided you're not coming from downtown. To get here my navigation sent me through THE roughest neighborhood I've ever seen in my life. I grew up on the North side of Milwaukee on welfare to give you my reference. And this area reset my perception of bad. I was expecting to see Kurt Russel with an eyepatch on. The staff was very attentive and overall just excellent. The room was excellent as you'd expect. Very sleek and modern rooms, although some may find them a bit sterile. But no one can complain about clean and bright. The front desk staff were very inviting and explained all of my benefits as an IHG Royal Ambassador. The junior suite was spacious and I was also given access to the Club Intercontinental, along with a $40 breakfast credit to be used for room service or at the hotel restaurant. I had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. Room service was also very good and expedient. I was a bit disappointed in the limited mini-bar selections, but that's not a huge issue. I'm not impressed and I wouldn't stay here again. They are trying really hard to be something they're not. The room temp was set at 65 but it was really muggy in there. The a/c clearly wasn't working correctly or perhaps the size of the a/c unit wasn't appropriate for the suite. I give them that it was clean but we were only there one night. It's tricky to find at first because it's also next to/is the "Cleveland Clinic" (??) and so you will find all kinds of advertising for them in your suite. At first I thought my husband accidentally booked us a room at a rehab clinic. The valet was plugged when we got there, and one of the men approached me in my car after looking at me a few times, wondering what to do, and asked if I was picking someone up. I said I was staying here and he said, "you need to go all the way to the lefT!!! This is for pick up!!!! TO THE LEFT!" The receptionist was not really helpful. She was giving us our keys and sending us on our way and my husband said that he added breakfast to our reservation, did we receive tickets/coupons for it? She was like "OH! Ummmmm... you can spend up to $30 and then we reimburse you." The breakfast was absolutely the best thing about this stay and that is the only reason it gets all of 3 stars because if I were rating only the breakfast, it would get 5. Now how the breakfast ACTUALLY WORKS.... It's "charged" to your room, you basically pay the tip (breakfast buffet is 14.50/person), and you never see the charge because at check-out it's reflected on your bill that you didn't pay for breakfast. Then they charged us a $300 deposit on our $147 room. When my husband called them they directed him to corporate who said that the location takes care of billing, but corporate handled it well. They did end us reimbursing us, of course, but WTF? You might see $$$ and think you're really fancy and doing yourself a favor by staying here, but it's trying to be a $$$ hotel, charging those prices, and then serving you like a $. read more

I got to the room late on June 6 and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up to find that the pillow case I was sleeping on had dried-clotted blood on it. As it turns out it was not my blood. I turned the pillow case in to the hotel. They promised to have it tested. The hotel sent me to the ER where I was examined and the hospital call infectious disease to figure out what to do. The hospital released me and told me to follow up with my family doctor for blood work and get tested every three months. After multiple promises to get the blood on the pillow case tested and multiple requests by me to get the case and test myself the Hotel/Hospital said they could not find a lab to test it because no crime was committed. I am now left to go for multiple blood tests and the Cleveland Clinic and the Intercontinental Hotel got away with not helping determine if I had any exposure. Stay away from the Hospital and Hotel. They have proven that they don't care. The CEO and the CXO of the Cleveland Clinic both were part of this. read more

WARNING: I am reviewing the catered food, layout, and facilities regarding trade shows, or more specifically what I attended last weekend, the Fur Ball put on by the APL of Cleveland. I went as a volunteer and for the most part walked around for 6+ hours checking out the 1st and 2nd floor offerings. Now to start off, the place is beautiful, clean, modern, and well managed. They service staff assisted to our every need up until the last volunteer left at 11:15 pm. The dinner service went without a single complaint (that I heard while roaming the room after dinner). There was an appetizer set-up in the main room that looked amazing and delicious. For dinner all the guests had tasty buffet style serving. I was a little surprised at this (for $175/ person I was expecting a served dinner) but because the Ball lasted 4 hours+, the idea was to have people eat when and what they wanted, as many times as the wanted, without having to worry about kids, steak or chicken, vegan, etc., all the worries that married people have dealt with during their special day (if it was served, not buffet style). The ballroom was huge, fantastic place to have a wedding reception, and for the 350+ people at the Fur Ball, the hotel set up 6 or so open bars. I had to laugh because there was one in close proximity to the bathrooms and coat check, that's where the volunteers went for an after drink, the bartenders were great! The Ball itself went well, without a hitch, and ended perfectly. This couldn't have been done without the help of the Intercontinental staff, thank you very much!! Now on the first floor, the layout and flow of people is well thought out, from valet to check-in to elevators to check-out. Table 45 is the on-site restaurant and from the vibe I got by peeking in, it seemed to be a hip, unique bar / restaurant, much more exciting then what one would expect. I did not eat there but there are other Yelp reviews that you can check out regarding dining / happy hours. Overall, I thought this place was cool. It was my first time in the hotel and I was impressed. I would have no problem staying here or recommending this as a hotel for family / friends. I cannot compare quality vs. price on hotel rooms so I recommend reading other reviews. But if you do stay there, grab a drink and walk around, maybe you can come back and leave another review for people planning special occasions. This place can accommodate just about anything. Let me preface this review by saying that I didn't pay for my stay so I can't speak to the value, but it is a nice hotel. Not quite as nice as the Intercontinental I stayed at in New Orleans earlier this year. Room was clean, hallways well lit. It was very quiet and once we were in our room I couldn't really hear anything outside. The gym is on the 4th floor of the hotel. A little 1990's, carpeted, humid, and too warm for my personal preference. No windows either so it feels a little like you're in a bunker. Service was good, and lobby is nice. Plenty of cabs if you're looking to catch a ride to the airport. Obvious benefit is location, it's connected to the Cleveland Clinic by a skyway bridge. There's not really anything else around the hotel. Sketchy, not walkable, but that's true of most of the city so definitely cab or Uber it if you want to get around. read more

I've been here quite a few times on business now, and the service has been superb. From greeting cards, to conplimentary snacks, it's been quite a pleaser. There was one time where they forgot the shampoo... but I think they tried to make up for it with extra conditioner. :) The best reason to stay here? We got married on the 3rd floor a year ago, and just went back to stay at the Hotel recently for our One Year Anniversary. We had a magnificent time! Not only was our room neat and clean but I called the Event Coordinator (Mary Vanucci) a week in advance and she helped me arrange for our wedding meal to be served in Table 45 (the hotel restaurant). The Chef did a magnificent job recreating our meal and even topped it off with a cute (and delicious) pecan tart that had happy anniversary written across it. This hotel is a GREAT option if you have business at the Clinic. I've been told that the connecting skyways are a Godsend when the weather gets rough. Luckily for me it's apparently been a really tame Fall and one might actually find it to be more convenient to use regular sidewalks and streets when the weather is nice for a more direct route. With regards to my experience with the InterContinental, check in was a breeze, the staff were very attentive and signing up for their loyalty program (which was free) allows you to get free wifi and late check out of 2pm which is super convenient. There is a restaurant on the first floor whose menu seems reminiscent of a Cheesecake Factory, but I didn't have a chance to check it out. There is also a sushi bar available. Room service is 24h and the menu is also pretty decent and prices are reasonable for room service which is always nice. My only gripe and reason for not 5 starring the hotel is the fact that there are no vending machines!!! I went for a quick work out and wanted to grab a gatorade or dasani from a vending machine (I was cool with taking a 3 dollar hit or so since I knew the Fiji in my room fridge was 6 bucks), only to find from the concierge gentleman that there are no vending machines in the hotel!! So sad! Apparently there is a 24h starbucks in the area, but I decided to just take the hit and grab a $5 orange juice from my room fridge. Otherwise, this has been a very smooth experience and the facilities are very nice. read more

I recently attended a charity event at the InterContinental Cleveland. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. The facility was lushly appointed and extremely clean. The meal began with a beautiful vegetable and cheese spread that offered a great variety. Most impressive though, was the meal. It began with a deconstructed Caesar salad with the dressing being served for us by a hotel staff member. It was delicious! My main course was a pan seared chicken breast with whipped Gouda potatoes. My 3 new favorite words are...whipped Gouda potatoes. They were the best potatoes I've ever eaten! My lemon tart dessert was perfection! The bar was plentiful, the staff was friendly and the room was beautiful! I was concerned about how long it would take for the valet to get my car since we were all leaving the event at the same time. It was not an issue. The valet station was a well-oiled machine. I would definitely attend an event at the InterContinental again, and I would definitely consider using their facility to host one! read more

I stayed at this hotel for four days during a conference. The location would be ideal if you are going to the Cleveland Clinic, but if the majority of your activities are downtown (as mine were) the distance can be a little annoying. Cab drivers also warned me- there's not much safe to walk to outside the hotel. Beyond the location, the amenities were nice. Comfortable bed, and attractive, spacious high end room. Disappointed there was no pool/spa. Hotel staff was very friendly. Didn't get to the restaurants, but was pleased with the room service. Especially the French toast! Yum! Also don't miss the cheesecake!! It is delicious! Hotel staff will also bring you real creamer for your coffee instead of the powder stuff they provide in your room. Only other issue was the occasional notice from passing ambulances and the life ought helicopter- but I think that's what you get staying next to a massive hospital. read more

BED BUGS!!!!!! My Husband and I chose to stay here because our child was having tests done at The Cleveland Clinic all week and for $250 a night we figured the Intercontinental had a good reputation and it is connected to the hospital. On day 3 of our stay we were locked out of our room and told the cleaning staff found bugs in our room. My husband had also discovered red itchy blotches on his body. We were told by the manager that we were not allowed back into our room, that our clothes needed to be cleaned and our luggage would have to be discarded. I had been with my son for 2 days at the hospital and needed to shower and change clothes. The hotel offered us NOTHING!!! I had to get scrubs from the hospital!! After a lot of back and forth with the GM the hotel said they would refund us for the 3 days we stayed there. They will not replace our luggage and only offered to put our clothes in the dryer. They didn't even wash them!!!!! I would NEVER recommend staying at this hotel! The Manager and General Manager were extremely rude, and not accommodating. The only reason the payed us back for the 3 days we were there was because we threatened to call our lawyer. We are still at the clinic with our son. We had to move hotels, buy new luggage and deal with my husband BED BUG BITES!!! AWFUL!!!! read more

We enjoyed our stay here as we went to the Cleveland Clinic, which you can access by walkway directly from the hotel. The staff was really great: they were all friendly, the valets had our car ready by the time we got to the lobby, and the Club level (which is worth paying for) had great snacks and drinks. It was the club lounge that really impressed me the most: there was a woman there named Antoinette, and watching her interact with the guests was a real treat. I saw her dole out hugs, remember names, and ask guests specific questions obviously based on past discussions. It's employees like these that really help a place stick in the mind. She was great. Our biggest complaint was the restaurant, Table 45. For being almost completely empty when we went, it was slow and expensive: over $100 after tip for a steak entree, chicken entree, and no alcohol. read more

In the middle of our stay as I write this. A little bitter about a couple of recent things that want me to click 1*, but 2* is probably fair. I might not argue against a 3*, but Yelp's "A-OK" cannot come out of my lips right now. Anyway, an attempt at a comprehensive review: Of course individual preferences and reasons for being in CLE will dictate, but I think the location is pretty awesome, but our reason for being here is the Clinic and we don't have a car. Thus, very sweet to walk a few feet to appointments and the hospital. Contrary to other reviews, there is plenty of food, entertainment, and nightlife within a healthy person's walking distance. University Circle is a mile, museums and gardens right there, and Little Italy is maybe 1.5 miles. The clinic has a 24hr cafe too that is really close. That being said, if you arrive by car, it is a small fortune to park it. If you are here for the Clinic, parking there and walking back would be a less expensive option. Public areas are nicely furnished and clean. Check-in was smooth. Housekeeping has so far been disappointing. With a capital D. We were greeted on day one with a used pillow lying on the floor from previous guests. That was an ominous start. It has not improved. One day they took all the used towels. Which was nice. But towels are a two-part process. There is take. And there is resupply. Same treatment with glasses. Actual cleaning has been non-existent. Noticed things that were (are) being missed repeatedly that even a lifelong bachelor on a deserted island would clean by sheer accident. We got a nice turn down with chocolates on the first night. Not on any other night though, at least so far. The bed was uncomfortably soft for one of us (literally one would sink a foot sitting on it), so we asked if by any chance if could be swapped out for a firmer mattress. They have this nice button on the phones that you are to press for "instant service" no matter what is needed. First call using that button was us being told we had called the wrong hotel. Then we were told we needed to call housekeeping, when they were "open". They wouldn't pass on the request. Then housekeeping said it was "engineering's" task. Eventually I guess they shoved a board under the mattress, so it's not completely resolved but is now livable. So, just tonight, I am basically "stuck" in the room to care for partner fresh out of the hospital. To minimize away-time, I ordered a pizza for delivery. Delivery dude called, said he was pulling up. Went down to lobby to meet, not there. After a minute, realized he might have gone to the Intercontinental -Suites- (same chain but different place). I tried calling back on dude's cell, but he must have had it off due to work. I was standing around and the front desk asked if I needed help. I asked if they could call over to the Suites property and see if a pizza dude was there that was supposed to be here. They. Would. Not. Call.... Seriously. I had to wait for pizza dude to call me again to get him over here. A Motel 6 front desk employee would call another chain if needed, and THIS FRONT DESK WOULD NOT CALL THEIR SISTER PROPERTY TO HELP A GUEST. It is crap like that that, for better or for worse, that might be a very trivial part of our stay, but is such a rude snotty gesture that it will be the defining moment of our experience. Last complaint, for now. Local and 800 phone calls. $1.25. YHGTBSM. Unfortunately for me the little microprint card attached to the phone was hidden under a desk lamp and I didn't see it until two phone calls in. So they got me. Lastly, one pleasant surprise. While many hotel gyms don't live up to the hype on their web brochures, the gym here is far better than what I was expecting and what they describe. It might be the nicest hotel gym, outside of spa resorts, that I have experienced. Ok, really I mean it now lastly. There are more tv stations than many hotels provide also. And wi-fi is free. And there is a tiny tiny fridge for a couple of drinks. And plenty of desk space. So, one might get a 4* experience if don't come across the same poor service and snotty attitudes. Great hotel. I have stayed here quite a few times in the last few weeks because it's linked by Skybridge to the Cleveland Clinic. The service at this hotel is great--valet, front desk, housekeeping, etc. I've only stayed in corner suites (939 and 639) and both were spacious with a separate sitting room. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms have separate showers and bathtubs. I will definitely stay here again. read more

Nice ace at first glance. Walls are paper thin you can here everything that's going on in other rooms and I mean everything! At times It sounded like they were in the same room with me! I've had more peaceful nights sleep in best western. Doors were slamming all day and night. I was here in Cleveland for 5 days and had to change hotels after the 2nd day. I was passing through Cleveland and needed to spend the night. I checked Yelp, and saw that this hotel had better reviews than the RItz Carlton. I don' t know about the Ritz, but this hotel is very good. It is connected to the Cleveland Clinic - and in fact it is on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic. The room is spacious and the service is what you would expect from a five star hotel. The bathroom was huge and very nice. I also had a chance to eat in both of the hotel's restaurants - one for dinner and the next morning for breakfast. Both were excellent - great food. Dinner was a bit pricey - breakfast was much better. My only complaint is that the hotel is not in the best neighborhood. Overall, great place if you find yourself in Cleveland. read more

Very clean hotel, beautiful rooms. Very friendly and attentive staff. We ordered food from the bar, tasted great. We stayed in a standard room with double beds. The bathroom is very spacious and has a tub separate from the shower. Nice extras like a shaving and dental kit. Real drinking glasses to use instead of disposable cups. Our room was equipped with a mini bar, our own fridge, a K Cup machine. Very large flat-screen. Crank windows that opened for fresh air. We had a very nice stay. read more

My husband and I pretty much only stay at $$$-ranked hotels for work. We don't pay for them, so value doesn't concern us as much, and we assume that the hotels have a vested interest in keeping us relatively happy in order to keep their business with my husband's work. However, we also don't generally bother staff much for things. Our room was quiet, clean, and pretty spacious. It had large windows which let in plenty of light in the morning, without being overly bright at night when the curtains were kept open. I love this because I hate having to draw the curtains just to sleep in the dark; curtains make me feel like I'm trapped in an underground cave, and why do that when you're (hypothetically) shelling out loads of money for the hotel. Of course, the view outside our room was somebody else's parking lot (experiencing construction) rather than a busy street, so the light situation may be different in other rooms. Bed was on the firmer side, but still comfortably so. Room service and housekeeping (in the hallways; we opted not to have the room cleaned as we were only there for a few days), when encountered, were courteous. Location is convenient to the Cleveland Clinic. Saw some guy pushing a wheelchair, so it may be friendly to both people doing business at the clinic and those being seen there. Briefly saw a review stating that it wasn't convenient to anything else. Having only stayed here for a couple days, I suppose I had fewer needs for outings, but a 15-minute walk takes you to Wade Park (which has at least 2 resident geese families, with cute and fluffy goslings!). I spent an afternoon at the Cleveland Art Museum, then walked another 10 minutes to Case Western Reserve University, which seems like it has some typical college town things (although all I can remember at the moment is Kenko, since I stopped in there for a tea). The Intercontinental Hotel, Wade Park, and Case Western make up 3 points of a triangle, so they're really not that far apart. Other things in the area include the Cleveland Botanical Garden, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and some places to eat that had decent ratings on Yelp. There's constant fragrance in the lobby area, if anyone is sensitive. It's fairly mild. Seems like there are always plenty of employees in the lobby area, so it shouldn't take long to have an issue addressed. Not a lot of seating in the lobby if you're hanging out there for a while, but it didn't seem like many people were. Free wifi here, as well as in the room. They will check your bags for you if you need. Needs spaces for parking briefly if all you're doing is checking in and taking your stuff upstairs. Valet was willing to watch the car for us (had to hand them our keys) while we did this, but would rather be able to do this at will. Room service is ridiculously expensive. $13 club sandwich + $3 avocado + service charges (18% gratuity tacked on, plus another amount that may have been added by them or by my husband) came out to a $24 sandwich. It came with a side (I choose a fruit cup), but that really is a bit much. A lot much, actually. The fruit cup was on the better side of fruit cups, but the sandwich was just a regular club sandwich. I recently stayed here for a business meeting. I was impressed with the facility and staff. I had stored two energy drinks in the room refrigerator on the personal use shelf which were missing the next day. I didn't have time tell anyone about it, but I received a call from a hotel staff member asking how my stay was going. I told her what happened and she was horrified (OMG!). She offered to replace the two drinks with four, but I told her replacing just what was missing was fine. A short time later four replacement drinks purchased from a local pharmacy were dropped off in my room. Mistakes are always made, but how someone responds is what matters most. Intercontinental will get my future business. read more

The fact that this hotel averages over 3 stars on yelp is insanity. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. If I had to choose between paying what I paid to stay here again or Motel 6, I'm choosing Motel 6. By no means should anyone even consider staying here. The next time I come stay in Cleveland, if this is the only hotel available, I will happily save my money and sleep in a sewer. read more

I travel a lot and this was quite possibly the best hotel experience I can recall in a long, long time. Superb service, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is situated on the Cleveland Clinic campus, which feels a bit odd, but it was near where our friend lives, so it worked out fine. Great restaurant on site with a sushi bar. We never heard any noise from anywhere at all during our stay. Also, there's a Starbucks in an adjacent building, reachable without going outside. read more

My wife and I live a couple of hours from Cleveland and decided we would spend our anniversary in the city. So I hopped online found this hotel for a great deal. It was close to the museums that we wanted to go to as well. We checked in and the guy at the front desk was nice and friendly and the lobby was clean enough for it being the middle of January, but that is where all the niceness stopped. We took the elevator up to our floor and it felt and smelled like we were in a hospital. As we walked into our room I could hear people on the floor above us stomping around, so I thought great, hope this isn't going to be an all knight thing. Well as you can guess I was wrong. And the furniture left a lot to be desired. I almost knocked the wind out of myself as I plopped down on the chair the was in the corner. A folding chair would have been more comfortable. Anyway the room felt not comfortable at all. The bed skirting was gross from someone spilling there drink and the bed sheets were kinda gross. The only part of the room that felt somewhat clean was the bathroom. I guess the only thing left to say is that you should not book this hotel from the pictures they show online. Those must be the "top of the line" rooms. Also as I saw in another review DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO THE CLINIC! read more

I'm staying here now... Day two! made reservations for 17 days but going to have to move. Day one, Feb 1 checked in... The blinds didn't shut in the room, so I called down to tell someone. went on hold, transferred around, kept telling the same story and was told how to close the blinds... I told them I knew how to close blinds, there was no cord!! She said she would send someone up. waited 30 minutes, nobody showed. called again and was told how to close blinds. AGAIN, I explained there was no cord! She said ok, ill send someone right up.... nobody came. Someone else then called me and told me how to shut the blinds....LOL... told them I knew how, there was no cord... she said ok, she would send an engineer up!! several minutes later the engineer showed up, looked at the blinds and told me there wasn't any cord!! LMAO.. I said, I KNOW!! ive told everyone in the hotel that... he said it was a big job and he could fix it the next day... said we could move rooms but it was late and we had unpacked 17 days worth of clothes , etc... next day I went to the front desk to assure someone would fix the blinds.. they then called and two engineers worked on them for 2.5 hours and left for parts etc...... blinds got fixed! that evening we went down to the 45 restaurant for dinner. very expensive food... Dinner for 2 cost $170 with tip and a couple drinks etc., however, they handed us the special of the day which included short ribs..I ordered them but was told they were not ready yet... should be ready around 6 PM... had the chicken and it was excellent! SOOO today after a heart procedure on my wife, we wanted to rest and watch some TV..... TV guide doesn't work, so I reluctantly called the operator and explained the problem. Was transferred around and finally someone sent my call to the concierge who immediately picked up the call and put me on hold forever until I hung up!! I decided to just take the remote downstairs and do this in person assuming they were really busy..... The lobby was empty!! no workers at the from desk at all.... one guy at a desk in the lobby with a sign that said guest relations.... I have no idea why I was put on hold for 10 minutes... not a guest within 5 miles.... anyway, so I go this guy at guest relations and tell him the issue! He is a nice guy, for sure. He explains that the TV guides dont work... they haven't worked for awhile.... I suggest that maybe the Hotel should get them fixed!!! He said its not that easy and they are trying... explains the signal is strong but its the software, blah blah blah... says he will send someone up right away.... that was 40 minutes ago.... I wrote this review as I wait, yet again!! Sorry, but this is NOT a 4 star hotel! It is in price only. The people are nice and friendly, but that fact is things are broken, amenities claimed don't work.... even with no guests, you sit on hold until you hang up. 15 more days?? I dont think so!! I'll find something much cheaper and much better...This IS NOT WHAT IT IS ADVERTISED...... read more

I use the conference center for work all the time. It is conveniently located across the street. 9 times out of 10 I get excellent service and accommodations. They donate to many Cleveland Clinic based events. Great for small or large business meetings and moderate pricing for holiday parties. The conference center offers two-three restaurants on site. Table 45, Northcoast Cafe and C2. All different and tasty! read more

It felt like we stayed in a different building than what we saw online. The room was clean and the bed was alright. Could hear people drop things heavily on the floor upstairs when trying to sleep. Felt like we were staying more in a hospital room than a hotel room. Not planning on staying here again. read more

Nothing less that the best available at the clinic. The direct access to the hospital,the medical building and just about everything else make this the place to stay is you have a loved one using the clinic. Very clean. Very good pleasant and well trained staff. This hotel is very well appointed and well done in general. However, it's extreme (and I don't use that word lightly) convenience to the Clinic put it way ahead ahead of others. There is no need to ever walk outside in inclement or cold weather. The hotel is directly attached via skywalk to any areas of the Clinic you may need. There is a second IHG Suites hotel on Euclid avenue which is always somewhat less expensive than the one on Carnegie street, my guess is due the small lack of convenience . It is a very nice and well done hotel itself, you just do do have the convenience of very short walking distance and the skywalk. read more

Room is dirty upon arrival. Stained comforter. Pillows smell horrible. Room service...ha. Had to order three times to get it right. Although I am not sure how the latest meal is because I got it to go since I have a scan tomorrow and fast has started. Bathtub is broken. Waiting on maintenance to fix it. Coffee maker is broken. Wanted to boil some water as I can at least sip on that. Oh and I can't take my chemo tonight because food got here after three tries ordering and it's too late to eat now for the fast. And the room has sheer curtains so it's bright in the room from the buildings across the street. I paid $175 for a night here at this particular hotel because I have an early appointment at Cleveland Clinic. I wanted to have one nice night in a nice hotel to myself before I go for my scan and see my three oncologists. I travelled for almost 30 hours to get here for my appointments from Hawaii with stage 4 cancer. Hotel misinformed me when I called to inquire about accommodations/accessing Cleveland clinic bridge system. I come to Cleveland every three months for treatment, I will stay at the Marriott again next time. Much cheaper and cleaner rooms for half the price. What a disappointment. If I wasn't so exhausted and sick, I would leave and go somewhere else. I'm so disgusted. read more
