They provided excellent care for my father. I had zero issues. They called me and kept me in the loop.

I have experienced two other hospice companies before we engaged with Interim. Interim was fantastic! Their staff was truly caring, very thorough, and reliable. The main nurse we had went the extra mile with me, answering my anxious texts at all times of the day and always following through on promises. She was technically great at her job and super kind to mom and our whole family. I would eagerly recommend his company to others. read more

I haven't had a good experience working with this company. They have repeatedly dropped the ball. They are inconsistent, understaffed and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone work with them or use them for a loved one. This was the second time my now 93 year old mother has been on hospice support care. She lives in an excellent small residential care home and is in the last stages of Alzheimers. While she's not needed hospice around the clock, the team has been so good with visiting and offering support to both Mom and our family. We've appreciated the caring and kindness the Interim Healthcare team has shown us - they visited and reported to me more than the first hospice company we had. It's a difficult job but they've shown such kindness and compassion and we're grateful. Mom has stabilized again and is off hospice for now but when the time comes when she'll need hospice care, I'd be happy to have Interim care for her again. read more

They sent me caregivers who didn't know how to use the Hoyer lift, and one that didn't know English very well. Also they are open 24 hours for on call but don't answer the phones all the time nor return calls on the weekend. read more

We all know that losing someone isnt a pleasant venture. With that, it's nice to have a company that becomes more like an extended family rather than a company. This company does that. I was helping a man who was receiving care from this facility. I moved him into my home although he wasn't my family due to his family unable to care for him. The amount of support that they offered not only to myself, the patient and his family was incredible. Each nurse, every person involved in making this gentleman's wishes of his last days, were fulfilled. This company listens and cares for what the patient wants. They treat everyone with such care and respect. They even offer grievance counseling after a loved one passes. If you or someone you love, needs homecare with a fantastic support system, this is by far hands down the place to be. read more

Interim Healthcare Escondido, San Diego = gold! They actually, truly care. I almost went with another hospice care but am so, so, so extremely grateful that I found Interim and ditched the other. They are so much more than what I was expecting and then some. My mom went so quickly, I just wish I would have known about Interim sooner. We have been using interim hospice care for several weeks now. At this point all I can say is we do not feel that this agency is handling their job correctly. We've had issues with the caregivers falling asleep on the job. At least one young woman was snoring so loudly, with her mouth hanging wide open, which woke my family member. This made them very anxious because because they called out for help and she didn't wake up. There have been issues keeping track of which medications are given. When it's time for shift change, the women who had been on duty couldn't remember if she'd given the proper meds! Etc. we have family members in the home at this time to have witnessed these incidents. There's more but I don't need to go into all of it here. Let's just say that I would not recommend this company. read more

I can not say enough about the amazing people at Interim Hospice of Sacramento. They arranged for all the specialty equipment I needed to bring my wife home. They were at our home within an hour of her arrival, and were there as regular as clockwork to help with her care, and mine. When my wife died, they were the 4th phone call (at 1:30 AM). Their on call nurse was at my door within 20 minutes, and she literally took care of everything for me, including notifying the funeral home. Their compassion and kindness through this difficult time made it much easier for my family and me to get through the entire ordeal. If you or a loved one are ever in an "end of life situation", I highly recommend contacting the wonderful people at Interim. read more

I hired Interim to provide in home care for my 95 year old mother. I was impressed when a manager came out and told us of all the qualities provided by Interim. I can tell you that they did a very poor job for my mother. The third day on the job, my mother fell even though everyone knew she was a huge fall risk. The attending person walked away and left my mom standing myself. When I called management to tell them what happened she informed me that there would be an incident report filed. While I was waiting for the report several more issues can up. They missed up on my mom's meds and out and out lied about it. I would go to my mom's house to check up and I would see my mom walking down a narrow hallway with her walker and the attending person was walking in front of the walker. If my mom would have fallen, there would have been nothing she could have done to prevent it. I again called the manager and she never, not once would say her staff did anything wrong. We received complaints that one of the Interim staff was driving so fast on our street that walkers had to jump out of the way from getting hit. One staff member lied about her mistake about giving meds and she came clean and told us she was sorry and would understand if we didn't ever want her back. Other things that bothered me about Interim was if anyone worked more than 8 hours it was time an a half. So in order to avoid the overtime, you needed three different people in a 24 hour period. Went interviewing Interim prior to hiring them I asked if I could interview that caregivers prior to them starting and I was told no. What the heck, 27 dollars an hour and I can't even interview them before they start. I never did received an incident report about my moms fall! But after two weeks of them being on the job, it was clear to me that their staff was poorly trained and management's follow up was nonexistent. I have since hired AMAH's Heart and they have been on the job for three weeks. They allowed me to interview each and every person prior to them being put on the job. They also do 24 hour shifts with no overtime. They are doing a fabulous job! I suggest you look them up if you are looking for quality in home care for a loved one. Julie Z. read more

This is a review in the making. Ive used this company for a few weeks now. Thus far it has been useful. I will say the staff is friendly and caring. Im working with a couple little issues. At moment arent worth mentioning. I like the head staff manager, she is helpful. I really like the nurses. Very sweet. I will give final review when time. My update. My extremely caring and loving Mother passed away, on her Birthday of all days. While I would like to blame someone for her passing out of frustration, I can't. Interim was a little bumpy at first, as they were overwhelmed with new patients. I did have a little issue with the first nurse, nothing bad. But with that said, please make sure you are fully comfortable with any nurse by any service. This is very important. The staff at Interim is incredibly nice. I will suggest you ask for 3 people. First is Will Wright with bereavement next is Mia, she is incredible. Finally there is nurse Becky. She was there through the last of moms moments to make her comfortable. She even attended funeral as did Will. He provided graveside services for my Mom. It really is important that skill and family oriented services be hand in hand. The last days of your loved ones are irreplaceable. Make sure you are comfortable with the nurses and staff. I have no regrets on going with Interim. Thank you for making my Mom comfortable. Staff seem nice enough, bur incredibly unreliable overall!

My husband has a terminal brain tumor and I knew that I would need help with his care. I interviewed the Interim agency and felt very confident that they could deliver the services that I needed. When the time came for their assistance, I was very pleased that they delivered as promised. They put together a team of caregivers to meet my needs within 48 hours and would probably have been faster in desperate circumstances. The caregiver that arrived at my door was beyond any expectation. She was early, very professional yet compassionate, respectful, and knowledgeable. It was very evident that the staff is very well trained. I live in Yuba City and there is a local Interim office of people who understand our community. I am so appreciative that we have this excellent service in our town. read more

I will only use Interim Hospice for my family members, and have had 3 family members needing hospice services. Every single staff person was phenomenal with their care and true compassion for these delicate situations. Providing free counseling, and better yet when we called for assistance they arrived in a timely fashion or were able to advise us what to do. After experiencing many hospital-affiliated hospice organizations, I have found that the private smaller hospice agencies have the resources to go above and beyond, and specifically Interim. There were a couple of other private hospice agencies that we have tried, but none compared to Interim. I am so grateful to have them as a resource for my family members, friends and associates. For one family member that we could not get to a doctor appt for the referral to hospice, Interim found a Physician who makes housecalls. I highly recommend these folks. This company provides in home caregiver services for people who have trouble taking care of themselves. I hired them to care for my elderly father, who is in his 90's. After only a few days on the job with our new caregiver, we discovered cash and valuables and family heirlooms missing from the home. How can this happen, after all, Interim Healthcare proudly claims they drug screen and perform background checks on all employees, it is clearly explained in their brochures. Well, I immediately called Interim and explained what happened, and I would no longer trust them with my father's needs. Five days later, during their own investigation, they were able to get their employee in for a drug screen, which Interim Healthcare proclaimed the employee passed the drug test. I inquired about the employee's background check and was assured their employee has a clean background and arrest record. Discouraged, I ended up accessing the Sacramento County Superior Court's website and did a simple search of the caregivers name. Imagine my astonishment and horror, when I discovered the caregiver had multiple felonies and misdemeanors for theft, violence, and drugs. I emailed a link of the court records to Interim's manager. That person soon wrote back and again claimed they pulled their employee's background check, and informed me their caregiver has "no" arrest record. The arrest record has been verified by the Sacramento County Sheriffs Office. I will finish with this fact, nobody witnessed the theft, therefore, law enforcement could do little to help, but to issue me an incident report. read more
