    Some cool finds.
    Rain W.

I stopped in here on the recommendation of a friend. This is a small store in a strip mall but dont let that deter you. There area lot of fun items to check out. I was really happy to find an entire shelf of gluten free items and another section with spices. The bathroom was clean and the employee was helpful. I'd come back. Bonus for the free book shelf in the front of the store

Now I know where to go if I need to make matzo ball soup for a gluten intolerant friend

We attended a drama that was sponsored by the store (see attached photo) and the experience was horrible. The event was badly managed by Hamir (the owner) and everything about it was 3rd class under his management: - Bad venue/neighborhood - No parking facility - No auditorium - Worst seating arrangement in a stinking hall; No chairs for seat numbers and tickets sold to us. - No respect for audience's time - Show started 1 hour and 20 minutes late. - Horrible audio - dialogs were simply not audible. - Poles in hall were blocking audience's view of the stage - Nobody understood Sanjay Goradia's dialog because the actor had bad throat issues. - Tickets were overly priced and sold at 50% discount at the venue Show was not worth going to even if tickets were free. Our group of 15 people left before intermission as it was a waste of time. And we all reached the conclusion that we will avoid all events brought by Manpasand.

Small discoveries completely and totally made your day such as watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly or noticing a flower one day in the stage of a bulb and then the next as a full-blown flower.. Today I got to relive the wonderment of being a child at the Big bizarre farmers market. First, let's talk about the grains and seeds. I don't know how many times you've eaten dal or cumin or coriander and really didn't know what the original form of that seed. At the big bizarre farmers market i got an opportunity to see the original form of floods i have v eaten all my life. I was so captivated by seeing foods in their raw form. I cruised every aisle, carefully weaving back and forth, back-and-forth down every aisle until I got to the back of the store,.I noticed fruits and vegetables and some unusual ones like aloe vera and pearl onions. I have actually heard of pearl onions, but I don't know that I've ever seen a pearl onion in real life. So that's pretty cool. Ne, net, visiting the big bizarre farmers market was like going on a tour of a very unique grocery store. Totally loved it.... My cashier was very pleasant and she rang me up very quickly and packed my items into a bag and I was off. The staff was very friendly and one of the things that I have to point out is that the store was super clean, which I enjoyed. Prices were extremely affordable. I purchased turmeric, wheat vermicelli and peach green tea.

June 29, 2025 review…read more ---- We went there on a Sunday evening and was decent full. We got dabeli and chola bhatura. Dabeli was ok, 1.99 Dollars, but was lacking the spices and juicyness, probably chuntey were not applied in sufficient amount. Chola bhatura was amazing. In the 11.99- you get two giant bhatura. Little oil on top of bhatura which is expected but not too much. What I liked the most is that it came with good amount of yogurt, pickled onion. Yogurt balance the spices of chola. Even the quantity of chola was huge. Definitely two people can easily share this. They have few table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your meal. Most of the chaat items were lower in price than a restaurant. I wouldn't recommend dabeli but chola bhatura - yes! There is a live pani puri counter as well. Unlimited pani puri for 10 dollars. Sometimes the sitting area can get little busy so be ready for that.

We were looking for a particular Deep brand sweet lime pickle. I asked a gentleman to find it for us. He looked for it & said it's out of stock. Two days later, as I just entered the store, he reached up to me and said, "the pickle you were looking for is here! " I was pleasantly taken aback! :)) for someone to even remember what the customer is looking for. That's paying attention to detail. Well done! His name is Mr. Santosh. I hope the store owners appreciate and recognize you!! Unless you are the owner... that's cool too! :)) The vegetables are all arranged well. Very fresh. They were continually checking if there's any rotten produce to be thrown away. The namkeens were all arranged well in a full section. The spices, lentils, organic stuff, grains, utensils etc. Everything is organized so well!! Very well lit aisles. All within reach. I am sure to visit again! :)) Enjoyed shopping here!

Aug 26, 2025 review:…read more ---- This is one of famous Indian grocery stores for North or Central Austin. Reliable for food items. Usually organized and have decent variety of products. Their pav is usually fresh and soft. Best part once I was buying these and last at counter told me these last only 2-3 days which is very helpful and usually I've not seen this info provided by stores upfront. They also have good decoration and idols and usually you can find most of the stuff during festival celebration. Vipul kitchen is good for snacks, especially samosa. They also have small onion samosa. They do provide both green mint and red tamirand chutney with samosa. I've also done catering order for samosa and everyone loved it. It's crunchy and not so spicy. They can give you discount on bulk order and usually order is made on time. One time I placed order for 100 samosa one hour ago and they were able to manage it. I've tried vipul kitchen curry as well but didn't like it that much.

I had mistakenly picked a leaking six pack and since it was rainy and I was rushing, I didn't notice. When it rains, I try to stay off the streets. When there's ice or snow, it is a whole next level of cra cra! For example, in February 2021 we experienced Storm Uri, where our home was without electricity for 7 days and water for 3 days. During that time we had snow and ice. When trees ice, they are heavy and then the branches fall off. During that time branches were falling onto electricity lines. This caused the electricity to not flow properly or at all. Before the storm was announced, the grocery stores were flooded with people buying provisions where most shelves were left empty. While today the HEB grocery was not at the level of anticipated week of severe cold weather, many shelves were empty or near empty. Most milk and eggs gone...sandwich meats...wiped out...vegetables mostly gone and water...near gone, but were being restocked. I think we will be ok. While I did not find all that I was looking for, at the end of the day, it think we will be fine.
