Just leased a vehicle this week. Helpful, friendly staff. We traded in our Honda and everything went smoothly.

They made me pay in full for a replacement key fob, with the key insert, then after holding my car for 9 hours (without any status call, I had to drive up to ask bc they wouldn't return calls or texts), said they didn't have the insert. They promised to send it by mail with a tracking number. They lied about that too. I now have to dispute my credit card to get reimbruses. I absolutely have to have the emergency key. Service was awful. There's no on-site manager. Very dysfunctional staff. I'm going back to Sommers even thoug it's 46 minutes away.

We decided we wanted a Subaru Forester. My brother in law told us there was no way a dealership would let us take out a new car in this day and age. My wife called International Subaru to make an appointment for a test drive. At our arrival we were greeted by Sage, who had everything set up. You know that show House Hunters, well we felt kind of like that. We had first looked at another Civic, just for old times sake. It was affordable, but didn't quite have the features we were looking for. Our first test that day was a 2020 Forester. It was a very nice car. Pretty much everything we could hope for. Then we tried a 2021 Outback. Oh, my beating heart. This was it! Time to negotiate. My wife had the idea to fix up the dings on the Honda and sell it. Then came Joe, the manager to dicker. Got our trade in up another thousand dollars. That made fixing up our old car a moot point. Buying a new car is up there with going to the dentist to put one in a mood. But Sage was very nice and handled all our questions and concerns. We overspent our budget by 10%; but we got a really nice car. Did we need a moon roof, a 11.5 inch computer screen, navigation, and the other bells and whistles. No, we did not; but they're really really nice. My wife, who tends to anthromorphize inanimate objects got really sad leaving "Bossy" on the lot. But now she loves "XenaLucy" (I got to name my Sportster; but not the cars). Not too long after we got our new car, we got a call for a touch screen upgrade. The service guy had a problem with communicating with woman. But that's his problem. At 6,000 miles, we went in for our first oil change and tire rotation. This time the guy we dealt with was super nice. In and out in 20 minutes. I know shopping for a new car can be a pain in the you-know-what. But our experience at International was pleasant enough. We ended up with a very nice and super safe automobile that will go anywhere we want it to. Sweet!
