What a great break from the fun walk on the Redondo Beach Pier. International Ice Cream is so good. The place is very cute and it is small, but never seems too crowded. Going there in the heat of the summer is the most fun. You might even be able to find a place to sit there, if not, there is plenty of seating all over the pier. The place is very clean and painted in cute colors. The service is nice and fast and they are good with kids. It is just family fun. You can have a cone or a cup. They have a good selection of flavors and what we had was super. The prices are fair. You will like this place. It is centrally located on the pier and just a fun thing to do. Create some memories of this great pier and have some ice cream. read more

Ok this was the best frozen banana I've ever had! Was it luck? Who knows! The chocolate was solid and the banana was cold and soft. No teeth breaking happening here like I have with pretty much every other frozen banana I've ever had. Cute, fun colors inside. Ice cream is always good, but having it on a sunny day at the Redondo Beach Pier is just the best way to have ice cream They have different types of cones or you can get a cup. Their selection is vast and the prices are good. There really is no place to sit there, but there are lots of nice spots right near by. My family, boyfriend, and I were looking for a dessert place and settled on grabbing ice cream here. We ended up getting two banana splits between my mom, brother, dad, and I. Then we got a single scoop of coffee for my boyfriend since we wanted nuts on top of our sundae and flavors with nuts in it and my boyfriend is unfortunately allergic to nuts. The pricing of the banana splits seemed off to me, but we thought nothing of it as we waited for our banana splits to be made. But when I went to grab my boyfriend's ice cream, I noticed that his single scoop was actually two scoops. Then I saw him starting on one of the banana splits and realized he was doing double scoops for each flavor. This was when I realized our mistake lolz It was quite hilarious bringing out the ice cream because they looked like double decker buses. The ice creams were so rich and creamy in comparison to other ice creams that I had before. I wish we did get double bananas too, but already it felt like we were given a generous amount of ice creams and toppings. It was nice to also be able to sit outside to eat our ice creams. This has become our go-to dessert stop after eating at Captain Kids. Cute little ice cream shop at Redondo Beach pier. They have 31 flavors of ice cream plus other items (see pic of menu board) and everything we've tasted has been delicious. Very friendly customer service, really does feel like classic "mom and pop". Love visiting this place whenever I am at Redondo Pier! One thing I love about this place is that all the ice cream options are Thrifty's ice cream. Who doesn't love Thrifty's? One thing to note is this place is cash only so make sure you have some cash with you when you go! My favorite flavor is the Caramel Malted Crunch. I love a good ice cream with some texture! His daughter created all the art outside and she helps their family business artistically. Support family businesses! Pretty standard ice cream shop with reasonable prices to portions. Shop owner was very generous and accommodating. Plenty of clean seating too. We got the rocky road, pistachio, and coconut pineapple in a cup. Generous amounts of almonds, and marshmallows. And the pistachio flavor was actually strong instead of bland. Coconut pineapple actually had coconut and pineapple chunks in it. Rich, smooth, and creamy. People who are comparing it to Dreyers and Thrifty's need to get real. I love Thrifty's but this was higher quality. And Dreyers/Breyers is disgusting. It's not even ice cream. Don't even get me started with that brand. CASH ONLY BY THE WAY!! read more

Shop owners are very nice and generous. My husband and I got the banana split and shared it...it was huge! The gentleman allowed me to pick 3 flavor...got Black Cherry, Pistachio and Chocolate Brownie (all thrifty brand ice cream). He made it with so much love...nearly 6 scoops of ice cream! I think this place is family owned but am not sure. Every time I go in, I see what looks like an older couple running an ice cream shop. They are both kind and sweet. Lovely people and location. Ice cream is pretty standard, nothing too special. Of all the pier ice cream joints, I usually go to this one, since they are all standard ice cream... why not go to the one with kind and fast service! read more

The ice cream looked good here, even though it was from Thrifty's. I asked the lady behind the counter if I could get two scoops of the bubble gum ice cream on a cone. I had asked for a cone, but she wanted to give me a cup instead. I then asked if I could get a cone instead, and she insisted that I get a cup since the two scoops would fall over (condescendingly). I said thanks and walked out without buying anything (I don't know why this is any of their concern). I have seen several pictures from google reviews showing two scoops on a cone, and I had ordered two scoops on a cone 1 year ago without an issue. I ended up going to the Gelato store on the Redondo Beach Pier instead, and ordered two scoops on a waffle cone there. They had better customer service & flavors to choose from. Looks like the International Ice Cream Parlor just lost a very hungry and paying customer who enjoys ice cream. read more

This is the best little ice cream spot on the Pier. The sweet Korean couple who owns and operates it are always kind and welcoming. The ice cream gallons say they're Thrify ice cream but I can't seem to wrap my head around that considering I have had Thrify ice cream from Rite Aid and it tastes no where near as good as this. My personal favs are the green tea and cotton candy on a waffle cone :) which is probably the best waffle cone I've ever had. I haven't tried their banana split or shaved ice but those both look absolutely sinful! read more

I had a hankering for a coke float, so I walked a mile from my hotel with much anticipation. When I got to the counter and ordered I was told"no, we don't make those." I said can you put ice cream in a cup and sell me that can of coke? I was told"no, we don't do that". I guess they're not looking for customers, very poor customer service. read more

Order the banana split and realize that this place does it professionally! Also, you get to choose whatever flavor your banana split is so you don't have to stick to the standard neopalitan (chocolate/strawberry/vanilla) combo. This thing was the works with the sliced banana (split) in half, my three flavors of ice cream (pistacho nut/rockyroad/strawberry), whip cream, crumbled peanuts, butterscotch and chocolate syrup toped with three maraschino cherries. I haven't had a banana split this good in years! Cold Stone, eat your expensive heart out. Errr, this was pricey at $6.50. The interior is really small so I'd rather eat outside. Felt like treating myself to some ice cream today. Price was a little steep for a simple cone of Thrifty's ice cream, but I got my favorite flavor anyway. As I was walking out I took a bite of my chocolate malted crunch and had a weirdly soggy piece but thought nothing of it. Maybe some marshmallow flavor fell in or something. Continued walking and had a couple more bites with this weird chewy soggy piece and finally realized it was supposed to be the crunch in my chocolate malted crunch. I decided I didn't feel like having a crap cone of ice cream today so I went back. The guy was really rude to me asking "why didn't you come back sooner?" "Nobody else complained about it" "it's only you that's complained you should have come back right after you tasted it" He ended up giving me a new cone...of course it was only half full of ice cream because I had obviously eaten enough stale ice cream already. Very rude guy who was basically accusing me of trying to scam him. I will NEVER go here again. Thriftys ice cream is a dollar and some change for a cone and this rude guy charges nearly $5 for a cone. Such a rip off. read more

About 15 flavors of Dryers Ice cream and shaved ice here. I was hoping for homemade stuff. The name led me to believe it would be something different. The birthday cake Dryers was exactly what my 4-year-old wanted. The pina colada shaved ice was inedible. Tasted more like tanning lotion than syrup. Blech! I was looking for chicken teriyaki like they have at Island Rootz. The girl recommended a chicken dish that was "similar", but with dark meat. Again I was disappointed because when I got home, it was FRIED! I don't eat fried chicken (try to stay away from fried foods in general). Telling me it was similar, I didn't bother to ask so partially my bad. I'm sure all the food is tasty, including the pizza, but I now know to ask about menus and specific items instead of trusting someone's suggestions completely. Posting so others are aware the menu here is not similar to Island Rootz and Auntie Maile's (both places I LOVE!!).

The stinky tofu was serviceable but it could have been stinkier. The beef noodle soup was okay. The beef was very tender and the soup was good. But it's not as flavorful as the ones at Sue's Kitchen up the street. The only miss for me was the Dan Dan noodles. I was warned it was spicy but it was a bit spicier than I anticipated. That's ok but the sauce had a weird sour taste to it that was kind of off putting. The service is very attentive. I wish they served boba drinks. Overall we will definitely be back. I can't wait until they open their new branch up in Palos Verdes later this year.

Generous with the ingredients and a flavor explosion with every bite. The Estiva is a pizza with basil pesto, yellow tomato confit, and "fior di latte' mozzarella. All I'll say is that it was delicious and any one who likes pesto needs to try this. Now, why do I wish I left a bigger tip? The delicious food would be enough but it was Marco! He addressed us by name every time he passed by. The most memorable aspect was when we were getting up to leave. He loudly said if we could please wait 5 minutes so that he could give us gelato for free! He was making it fresh as well so his machine needed some time. It was delicious! What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. They also didn't fill the entire cup with ice which is good. They filled it about a quarter of the cup. Interior is spacious, have tables, they have a corner closed off for employees only. It's a coffee roaster(?). They sell bags of coffee so I assume it's a roaster. My only complaint if I have any, is that for my iced mocha, I didn't see any straws anywhere. I saw lids, wooden stirs, but no straws.

I'm not personally gluten sensitive, though a couple friends I was with are, and honestly I wouldn't have known it was gluten-free based on the quality and taste alone. The drinks were solid too and paired well with everything we ordered. The whole place has a calm neighborhood bakery feel to it, and you can tell it's a spot locals come back to often.
