When you walk in, it's a little confusing at first since it's not super clear where to go and the place is pretty spacious. We initially went to the cashier, and they directed us to the computers on the side to sign the waivers first, then come back to pay. After we paid, they told us the wait would be about 30 minutes, but surprisingly they called our names within just 2 to 3 minutes while we were still walking around. That was a nice bonus. :) They provided headsocks for free, and we didn't have to pay extra or sign up for any annual membership. Each race is supposed to be 12 laps, but if someone finishes early, you might end up doing less. One of the boys completed 11 laps, but didn't affect the experience at all. As we were exiting, we saw a podium area so kids hopped on for a quick photo. I've been here before for birthday parties and even with coworkers, and every time has been consistently fun. The staff was friendly and everything ran smoothly. Not really sure why this place gets some negative reviews. I haven't experienced anything negative. Would definitely come back.

Parking lot was accessed by gate 10,and typical of the fairgrounds, Parking is seemingly always $15 for any event for the past few years. Some parking close to the entrance was available. This is in addition to the fees for the event you're attending. Id strongly recommend car pooling if possible. It's worth noting that the ground was recently slurry sealed so dark black which was fairly hot on an 80 degree day. Be prepared for quite a bit of walking, the fairgrounds are quite spread out so it can be something of a hike to get from one area to another. Japan fest was nice, lots of Asian food offerings leaning toward Japanese cuisine however there were Korean Vietnamese, and Chinese food available as well. Quite a few anime booths, clothing stands, toys, and knick knacks. Most of the festival was outdoors but there were 2 air conditioned buildings with booths that offered some respite from the sun and heat. The restroom facilities are actual permanent buildings, not port o potties which is great. Flush toilets and regular sinks for hand washing is a fantastic improvement over port a potties in my opinion. I'll be back.

Friday, 8-15-2025: Today is our 45th wedding anniversary. What better way than to spend it at the…read morefantastic OC Fair! There was plenty of parking. We love the lay out and how they really make monumental efforts to keep the grounds & buildings neat & tidy! We loved seeing all the displays/exhibits/shows and indulging in less-than-healthy food. There were many sights & food vendors. I met with the friendly staff/faculty of the UCCE Orange County Master Gardeners and they gave me brochures & a plethora of information for my own upcoming garden. They advised since I live in Temecula that UCR would be closer & have a similar program. I love hummingbirds & captured one in a photo. We were able to catch an old favorite, master hypnotist, Mark Yuzuik. We used to see him quite regularly at the SD County Fair but sadly his performances became lackluster over time. We were overjoyed that he presented a hilarious & revamped show, which was truly entertaining! Of course, we needed to leave with a bag of kettle corn & a bucket of chocolate chip cookies from Mom's Bakeshoppe. This was a day well spent together!

The free games were the blue tap games, so you don't earn tickets, but there were still a ton of fun options. We didn't even come close to using the full 3 hours because there was so much to do. My favorites were the basketball games and Connect 4 basketball. We played a few rounds of laser tag, which was super fun, but a lot of the equipment seemed broken that day. They also couldn't split us into teams, so everyone was playing individually instead. The go-karts were really fun for a group we got a whole round to just our coworkers. Some of the karts definitely felt faster than others, which made things interesting. We also did mini golf, and the course was much bigger than I expected. It took quite a while to get through all the holes. One thing to note is that the rides don't always have staff standing by them. If you want to ride something, you may have to find an employee and ask them to operate it. Overall, there was honestly more to do than we could fit into the 3 hours. We didn't even get to everything we wanted to try. Despite a few operational issues, we had a really fun time and felt like the event package offered a lot of value.

We visited Southern California - Palm Desert, Yucaipa, and Malibu - for Spring Break 2021. 00 - FINDING EXTREME SPEED TRACK EVENTS; INTRODUCTIONS We like Jay Leno's Garage (TV show) and knew of Willow Springs race track from his show... and we thought maybe we could race there. It out that Willow Springs is located north of LA, in the Mojave Desert, near Edwards Air Force Base. I explored Willow Springs' website and they have a list of groups who regularly race there, and who teach others to race there. I picked Extreme Speed Track Events and called and talked with Joel, who is very helpful. I explained that we just wanted to learn how to race, to safely go around the track and have a good time, and to maybe learn some "enhanced" driving skills. Joel assured me that is what they do, and we wholeheartedly agree... Extreme Speed Track Events can and will teach you how to race cars... on one of the most amazing tracks - Willow Springs International Raceway! More information about the amazing time we had: 01 - ARRIVAL We visited the office in the main building and the lady there pointed us to The Streets at Willow Springs. While we could see all the tracks from where we were we spent the first little bit in the building. They got us situated and got us breakfast - bacon and eggs and waffles... and flavored Starbucks in-a-bottle. 02 - PRE-DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS They gave us come classroom instruction in the building, about driving and tire tilt and camber... about how to read the track to determine how to set up one turn for the next turn. 03 - TO THE CARS We followed them for five laps, as they showed us how/where to position our cars on the course. 04 - THE CARS Our son and I each drove a stick-shift / manual transmission Toyota Celica... his black, mine white... that had been in the Long Beach celebrity Grand Prix... stock / factory cars with roll cage, lots of weight removed, and racing seats... and mufflers, etc. modified a bit, so they made a great rumbling noise. Our daughter drove a red automatic Toyota Solara, also stock with a roll cage. 05 - THE STREETS AT WILLOW The Streets at Willow has elevation changes and many curves. It's a thrill to drive. Given our novice status as drivers, our peak speeds were 85-90 mph, which was fast enough. Our track times were ~ 2 minutes. 06 - SKILLS SESSIONS After the first laps, then we had a combination of driving in circles, and high-speed braking. The circles were ~ 80 feet around... and by driving faster, and turning the wheel more we saw how that didn't help - turning the wheel more did not make us turn any more tightly... to get more traction you slowed down, steered back a little and then had more grip, better control. The fast braking helped us time going faster into turns, slowing, then powering out of the corners. 07 - DONUTS! Our son and daughter each got turns in the Miatas, making donuts and spinning out. Our son did some drifting on the skid pad, too! 08 - SCOOTERS As we were using the track one-at-a-time, they also had Honda scooters... which we rode to the other tracks... 09 - A RIDE WITH THE TRACK RECORD HOLDER I got to ride with Mark in his Miata, which helped learn what they were teaching us about slowing down and powering through the turn... 10 - AND THEN IT WAS JUST US In the morning, a father and son shared The Streets with us... when we were off-track learning, they were on-track, racing. We drove counter-clockwise and they went clockwise... they were tuning their racing Porsche for an upcoming race, and the 17-year old son was fast! They left around lunch time. Big Willow had several drivers on it in the morning, some Corvettes, Toyotas, Ferraris, etc. They also left around lunch time. 11 - HORSE THIEF MILE & BIG WILLOW After another round of laps on The Streets of Willow, Rob and Mark led us around several laps on Horse Thief Mile and Big Willow... in between we went to the skid pad and our son had an awesome donut/burnout... he was really having fun making smoke and was showing off what he learned this day! As we drove south through Antelope Valley, the sunset... to the right... a fitting end to a day that started with the sun rising to the east, to the left. What a day! My husband and I decided we wanted to get a new personal watercraft. We previously had some, but…read moresold them to buy a boat right before the pandemic hit and everything shut down. We've been watching the market since and realized the price for a new boat was ridiculous and felt getting a new ski was the best option for now, as we missed being able to go to the river. So began the search for the right ski for us. We visited numerous dealers from LA, Orange, and Riverside county looking for the exact model we wanted, often being told they had it, only to find out they didn't, being shown a different brand or higher model, missing the features we wanted, or being completely ignored by the salesperson we had been communicating with when arriving at the dealership. After much frustration, I considered just waiting until next season to find the ski we really wanted. After driving by Corona Motorsports numerous times on our way to other dealerships, I decided to look online to see their inventory and lo and behold, they had the ski we had been looking for. I gave them a call and was fortunate to speak with Scott. He answered all my questions and personally made sure the ski we were looking for, was still in their inventory. We discussed pricing and knew what we would be paying out the door before driving out there. A manufacturer promotion on the ski was either a rebate or 0% interest. Many of the dealers we talked to previously weren't even willing to discuss the 0% interest and were only willing to give us the "rebate". My husband and I have excellent credit and feel that 0% interest is something we've earned and weren't willing to forego that. I let Scott know that we wanted the 0% interest as a condition of buying the ski. He said "not a problem." With everything in place, I set up a time for us to meet with him and sign the paperwork. From the moment we arrived to when we left, the process was great! Scott showed us around, answered more of our questions, and took us to the service area to show us our ski that had just been taken out of the crate and was being put together by Ian. The process was seamless and easy. They even offered us pizza, that was delivered for their lunch, while we finished all the paperwork. Once we were done, Scott walked us to parts to pick up a few items we needed for our new ski, and then went to see Ian in service to show us all the features on the ski and how to use them. Ian was great in going over the ski and explaining everything as well as giving some tips to keep the ski looking it's best. When loading the ski on the trailer for us, Ian noticed that the bunks could be better adjusted to best fit our ski (which we didn't buy from Corona), put the ski back on the dolly, and adjusted them a couple times until he was satisfied. His adjusting the bunks shows his care for the customer's experience as well as service. He made sure when we drove off, our ski was properly secured and safe for our drive home. From initial phone conversation, sales, financing, to delivery, we had a great experience and highly recommend the team at Corona Motorsports. They will be the first place we visit if we look to buy any other toys and recommend to family and friends in their search.
