I've been visiting Intero for the past eight months, mainly because I wanted to keep my back--especially my neck--in good shape. I've got a desk job and I also lift heavy weights, so I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to keep my back healthy. My first visit was with Dr. Andrew, and he was very informative and patient, answered all my questions. What I really appreciate about Intero is that they take an x-ray before and after the care plan. This gives us a great idea of how your back has progressed over the course of care. My goodness...I'd always heard chiropractors are quacks and crooks but I just experienced this first hand. This place is has a receptionist whose only mission is to extract money from you and a "doctor " who probably can't count to 100. Took me longer to put on the gown than it did to get an "adjustment " $3200 for 3 months, twice a week sessions of 3 minutes each. Do not give your money to these crooks. read more

The Case Manager I saw was unprofessional and a shitty salesman to boot. I went in one day for a consultation on my neck pain. On my second appointment, I met with a case manager (Alex) over a video call to go through their findings and a proposed 10-week treatment plan costing $2,700-3,000. They don't take insurance, so this would be fully out of pocket. I've already tried physical therapy, pain management, acupuncture, and massage without success, so I asked some questions: could I do a trial period, or 2-3 sessions, to see whether this approach works for me before committing thousands of dollars? He kept pushing the full treatment plan, but mentioned if partway through you decide it's not for you, there's a guarantee where you can stop treatment and receive a pro-rated amount back. When I asked on the specifics of the plan, he got mad and just started with shitty pressure tactics. Some rough quotes from him: "I've never even heard that question before. It sounds like this isn't for you. The treatment plan is for people who care about their pain and actually want to treat it. If you don't care about your pain, then it's not for you." "If you don't think your body is worth investing into, then this might not be for you." And after I tell him he's right and it's not for me, he closes with a line about how he's sure I'll regret this in 5-10 years when my condition is worse. ????? absolute waste of time and money "consulting" with this guy To be clear: this review is about that one interaction and the sales approach behind it. It is not a reflection on the doctor I saw or the admin manager, both of whom were genuinely great to deal with. The admin manager also take my complaint very seriously, and she said they would review the call. No problems at all with how they dealt with it. read more

DEFINITELY LOOK FOR SECOND OR THIRD OPINIONS BEFORE SIGNING THEIR CONTRACT. I've spent five months (3X a week the first month followed by 2X week) accompanying my mom back and fourth to Intero Chiropractic. My mom's condition hasn't improved. The "plan" they sold us didn't deliver the results promised, and unfortunately she has absolutely nothing to show for it. While getting "treatment" there, 2 doctors that saw us had quit and the one that lied to us had been FIRED. We should have seen that as a major red flag as how the business was operated. The Issues We Encountered: * Misleading Diagnosis & Sales Tactics: The initial diagnosis was misleading, SALES REPRESENTATIVE STATED THAT THEY COULD 100% TREAT MY MOM WITHIN 3 MONTHS. We should have seen that as another red flag, but was ecstatic to hear that my mom would be able to walk long distances again. Their sales tactics was designed to push a "deeply discounted" treatment plan. They pressure us to pay a large sum upfront to lock you in, which feels more like a high-pressure sales pitch than a medical recommendation. * Very poor Communication: The administrative side of the office is disorganized. Getting clear answers or updates was a struggle, their APP was junk, and the overall communication skills of the management/front office were lacking. Did not receive home YouTube exercise videos on time, DIDN'T received the home exercise kit until the last day of treatment (WTF). I believe company is not run well. Even if the doctors are personable, the business model feels predatory and the operations are clunky. Do not commit to a long-term, pre-paid plan here without getting a second opinion from another specialist first. Don't let the "discount" or FACEBOOK AD'S lure you into a five-month loop of wasted time and Money. Be aware that they also have a few more practices around the Bay Area with same "leadership". read more

I came in with pain on my hips down to my leg and lower back pain. I was greeted by Emily and she prescreened me in preparation of treatment from Dr. Andrew. Emily is super sweet and easy to talk to which made me feel comfortable. I've been receiving treatment from Dr. Andrew for about a month now and after the first actual adjustment visit I was feeling less pain. He explains what adjustments he will be doing on every visit. He is very knowledgeable and effective with his treatments. I am able to walk better with no pain on my legs and my lower back is getting better as well. They have a great team there! Be very careful of this place because it's more of a marketing gimmick than an actual helpful place. They took an x ray in the first session, tell you what's wrong, then spent 50mins in the second session to go over payment plan - essentially 2 sessions where they don't even touch the patient. Pressure tactics to spend $5000 for 28 sessions upfront without proving their work in a single session. I would be very careful of anyone who needs 28 sessions to help with neck pain that too without touching the patient even once. read more

When I came to Intero I could hardly walk. I have bilateral sciatica that ran from my lower back into my hips down the back of my legs into my feet. My left side was worse than my right. I could barely walk, I wasn't sleeping because the pain would wake me up in the middle of the night. I also have a lot of problems with my cervical (neck) I couldn't turn my neck to the right at all and turning to the left was painful as well. After several sessions with Dr Andrew and the team I am able to walk almost normal my pain level when I walked in was not even on the chart because I was hurting so bad, now I am able to stand longer, I can walk more and my rage of motion is sooo much better. I can honestly say my pain level is around a 5 or 6 and my rage of motion well, I am able to sleep through the night and I almost have full rage of motion in my neck, I can turn my head to the right and to the left!! I love that they not only adjust you but they also teach you long term care a little homework never hurt anyone. I love that they take the time to listen and then Dr Andrew gives great advice on home care and I just like that they not only want to help the current issue but also how to get healthy and stay healthy. I must say that Intero Chiropractic definitely sets the bar high when it comes to patient care. They always do their best to accommodate your scheduling requests. They are always a phone call away if you ever need to reach out. I have been coming since the beginning of the year and have noticed the my problem areas have definitely improved. From the initial diagnostic to my current appointments, the care has been phenomenal. The case manager, Ryan, was very thorough with my health plan and what needed to be done in order to have a healthier body. My current doctor, Dr. Michael Chang, has been great at addressing my issues, especially with my TMJ and neck issues. I feel less pain overall and with the additional supports I've received (the foam rollers, core support, and band), I know that my body will be in tip top shape!
