This young girl was being super helpful but I guess she did something wrong. A bunch of guys started being really passive aggressive toward her and then one guy straight up yelled at her. She ended up going into the back and crying. It was very unprofessional of those jerks. I understand she may have done something wrong, but she did not deserve that disrespect. I appreciate John and his crew at Interstate Batteries of Tucson. There are two reasons for this. First, John -- Mister Boss Man -- has 30 years of battery knowledge as well as impeccable integrity. I purchased two refurbished batteries that had to be at 100% capacity to push my RV's furnace fan while being charged by solar panels just days after the winter solstice (that is, when days were at their shortest, offering little light for charging). They weren't quite up to the task, and John not only refunded what I paid for them, he also gave me a long, thorough, but also easy-to-understand lesson about batteries, including the various ways to test them and what measurements to look for. Not only that, he gifted me both a battery lifting strap (batteries are freakin' HEAVY, probably 60-80 lbs each) and a hydrometer to test each cell's specific gravity...and this is after he showed me how to test the cells with my multimeter. And he gave me the tools AFTER I returned the batteries! Again, he's a very knowledgeable and honorable guy. A+ customer service. And second... I went to the store at what seemed like the height of the ridiculous "wolves vs. sheep" culture war over how to respond to Covid-19. Having lost a dear, unvaxxed friend to Covid only two months earlier, I vowed to do everything I could to not get the virus and not spread it to others if I caught it but didn't yet show symptoms. And that meant wearing a mask when indoors around others. In Arizona (I'm not from Arizona), wearing a mask automatically makes you a member of one team or another, as though the virus cared. My point here is that there were plenty of places in Arizona where people looked at me like I was their problem...with disgust, or even anger. Well, I really appreciated that the crew at Interstate Batteries treated me exactly the same as the rest of their unmasked customers. They were all friendly and helpful, placing the reason I was there (to do business with them) over the pointless politics of the moment. I appreciate it, guys! I brought a Toyota battery down because my wife's car had died, and unbeknownst to me the battery was still under warranty through the dealer ,Josh advised me to take it back to the dealer and they should replace it for free, which I did. Josh was so helpful he let me buy a battery to get me to the dealer and then bring the battery back he gave me a full refund, nothing but great things to say about Josh and interstate batteries definitely continue to do my business with them ! My truck had an ignition problem that was draining my battery, I took it to Interstate, they replaced it for free and the warranty starts from scratch. Can't beat that. I bought an Interstate battery online about 3 months ago. It is completely dead. I called this store and asked what they can do. Their reply was, bring in the receipt and we will see. I verified that nothing can be done unless I happened to keep the receipt. I know these batteries can be traced with the serial numbers on the back. This store is just not willing to back up their product. After calling customer service 866-842-5368 I was informed that w/o a receipt there is nothing anyone can do for me. Interstate Battery Wholesale and Interstate themselves are not willing to stand behind their product even tho my ebay purchase tracking shows the date that I purchased the battery. Will I ever purchase another Interstate battery? Hell no! read more

I called the day before to ensure they had a battery to replace mine that was under warranty. I was told they could take care of me. When I drove in 50 miles from Benson this was the opposite direction from where I was headed) i was told they have the battery, but they could not install it. Thus the "we can take care of you" wasn't true. I ended up having to go someplace else to have a new battery installed. Delayed my trip start to San Antonio by 4 hours total. If I had known I could just go to any Firestone and have them replace the battery for me, it would have been nicer, but interstate didn't tell me that. read more

I purchased an Interstate Battery about 2and a half years ago ,thinking better to have a very good battery than let say a not so good one / but to my surprise it want BAD on me on a road trip( fine things happen) i was pretty much forced to buy a new one at an auto zone i Santa Fe NM so then i returned back home , I decided to return the core and get a pro-rated rebate , right around 77 dollars i thought . well that's when i first had to start hurdling hoops manager tested battery found it to be BAD,then i needed to sent a detailed letter to Main corporate office with (my receipt of have to have purchased new battery OK! PLUS they kept my old battery SO...today i received a call ( three weeks later) that I'm SOL I didn't sent my receipt with paper work... i my frustration to having to buy a new a new battery i miss place it or maybe threw it away , After getting off the phone with this this person i felt taken advantage off ,the woman on the phone was very uncaring So if anyone one ever ask my that i think of Interstate's batterys they will get an EAR full from me ... read more

I called Interstate Batteries to find out if they had a battery for my car in stock. They did and also informed me that they don't install it but can lend me the tools and lift the battery for me. The lady I spoke to was very courteous and helpful. I had bought my previous battery at Walmart, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic they didn't have any in stock in any of their stores in Tucson. I had tried to order it online, but they cancelled the order. So after some research and speaking to the nice lady, I decided to buy from Interstate. They told me it was reconditioned, but has a one-year warranty. The man at the store was very nice and helpful, too, even though he couldn't install it for me. A nice man in the parking lot helped me install it and showed me how to do it so I can do it myself next time. So I only paid $60 total and my car started right up. I always keep my receipts. I highly recommend this store for batteries. They were honest and personable. read more

I wanted to give Interstate Battery my business, but they could not seem to stick to their quote or their policies so I had to take my money elsewhere. I went a few times to test my battery, I knew it was going out, I was told by one employee it was covered under warranty and would cost either nothing or "Next to Nothing" and that I did not need a receipt for the warranty because each battery had a traceable serial number. My boyfriend went back the following day to change out the battery and get the replacement, this time another associate asks for the receipt of the battery for the warranty? AFTER I WAS JUST TOLD I DID NOT NEED A RECEIPT? Wow, mind-boggling and then tries to sell me a brand new $110 battery, that sure does not seem like NEXT TO nothing to me. I think the second sales associate was trying to up-sell me and in turn lost good business. I only patronize honest businesses so I took my money elsewhere and bought a brand new battery for $85 with a legitimate warranty! read more
