These guys really know their stuff! I was upgrading the cheap stereo (head unit) in my RV so I could get Carplay and Garmin RV navigation. I had bought a high-end Kenwood unit from Crutchfield with install support. With all the components, including a Maestro data system, there was no way I could install all of this even with the custom instructions. I called Sound FX and they said to bring in all the parts and they'd take a look. I did, and they said no problem and did the install right away and even hardwired my brake controller and customized the stereo so that I'd be able to turn on the backup camera whenever I wanted. However...a day later, after my subs were going in and out, I noticed that my fuse box cover was cracked where they had to put in a new fuse, and that the leg of my subwoofer fuse was bent from them forcing it back in. I stopped by to have a dash camera that was malfunctioning looked at. Not surprisingly given that we live in a disposable society, they said it couldn't be repaired. So I decided to simply have it removed, which they did. Upon completion however, I was informed that in removing the camera they accidentally shattered my windshield. Things happen and I'm not one to badmouth others for something unintentional. Although they originally suggested that I go through my insurance company to repair the damage and that they'd pay the deductible, when I returned the next day with a pair of quotes to replace the windshield, Chris, the owner, apologized for what happened and paid for the repair in full. Although I wasn't happy about what happened, I do appreciate that they, and Chris in particular, accepted responsibility and stepped up to take care of the damage. read more

Moses and gang are amazing. I bought a Front and Rear Dash Cam from Amazon and they installed it in my Dodge Grand Caravan in a couple of hours. They quoted me $165 over the phone, which was already a great price, yet only charged me $140 once the work was completed. For the record, I was quoted as high as $240 from another local business. The whole process was hassle-free, the install was superb, and the staff is friendly. I would highly recommend to not look elsewhere, you won't find a better deal or place to do business with. P.S. I also experienced the same garbage treatment of being ignored. Very unprofessional of not being acknowledged, written up, taken my keys, and given a time to come back, or anything professional. You're just pacing in the back like some wandering clown. They look at you and ignore you and look away. It all trickles down from the owner. That's why you can't get good service in the hood. The tech who was supposed to instal my amp just starts walking down the block on his break and comes back a half hour later and goes back to the hoopty he was working on. I have a 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser with a bad subwoofer. Really annoying. Went in to Sound Fx this morning to see if they could work on it for a reasonable price, thinking that I would probably end up driving up the road to a better known sound system company. I was wrong. You already know !!! I have seen multiple reviews on speakers and they will hook up custom door speakers. I will leave this place with at least 4 more speakers not including tweeters. Came in to get a sub and have my double din installed. Ended up buying a sub amp snd a box And had to wait for them to order the kit for my double din. waited a month for the kit for my double din. Never called me to tell me when it would be in, so I had to call every week asking about it. The sub they sold me was crap, my stock stereo system sounds better. when I went back for the double din kit I told them about how bad it sounds and the owner says" oh the sub we sold you is a sub that you buy when you don't want to hear the bass." I'm like how the hell does that make any sense. Why would I buy a sub so That it is for the bass that you don't hear in a song. Then the manager comes out to my car and tells me that they installed the system completely wrong and then tries to up sell me on a more expensive sub and a different box. I just told them to give me the deck kit and I will tskenit somewhere else. Worst service that I've ever had in my life anywhere. Crap for install, they didn't even try to make it correct, didnt offer a refund. Absolutely nothing. I never write reviews for places if I have a bad experience but this was so bad that I made a point to do a review for this place because of how terrible it was and that I don't want anyone to go through what I did. You would be crazy to spend money at this place. Audio 2000 and specialists is way way way way better. Hell inwould even recommend Audio Express ten times over this place that's how bad it is. Customer service was terrible, not professional at all when you walk in the door, people just standing out back by your car that don't even work there. Don't know why anyone would spend money here. You can tell what kind of work your going to get by the way the store looks inside, there show truck they have advertised out front their front door, way the owner talks to you. I can't say enough about the great customer service we have received numerous times at Sound Fx! Recently brought my daughters car to one of the local stereo installation chains. They quoted me a fairly reasonable price over the phone. Once I got there, the $250 quote jumped to over$800. I walked away and went straight to Sound Fx. Moses had his guys install an aftermarket pioneer double djn stereo which our daughter is very happy with. Gives us peace of mind that she's driving with a good system now which allows her to make hands-free phone calls if needed. I also had them put an aftermarket single din pioneer stereo into my 2003 Toyota 4Runner. That sounds great and I can also play my music apps and make hands-free phone calls. I purchased a car stereo from Best Buy to replace my old original car radio in my 2008 Honda FIT. The impetus for going to Best Buy-FREE INSTALL! Bought it on 1-1-2022. The earliest installation appointment was 1-31-2022. On 1-29 Best Buy Geeks call to inform me that my appointment (for which I waited 1 month) was canceled. The next available would be 3-10-2022. My hunny took my car as a birthday gift to have my system installed and sounds great.. HOWEVER, we went to pick up my car when it was ready and I decided to do a walk around my car making sure there are no new scratches, dents or damages (mind you this is a 2019 no damages to my car at all).. So as I am walking around and I come to the front right passanger wheel and a see this curb check on my 3 day old brand new rim and tire... They claim the damage was already there when my hunny dropped my car off that morning, I said ohhhhhh hell no my heart dropped to my ass literally. I told them that is completely a lie because my hunny sent me a picture of my car after it was pulled into their work station with the right front passanger wheel showing and there is ABSOLUTELY no damage to my tire or rim. So my hunny and I asked who drove my car and who was the one who worked on it and as we were talking to the guy who worked and drove my car the big guy with the ridiculous chain interrupts our comversation and tells the guy to go finish working on the car he was working on. Which we thought was rude as hell because the guy we were talking to was stumbling on his words and stuttering so we knew he was lying. We asked to see the camera footage and we were told we had to wait for the owner. So we did and guess what there was no footage!!! They dont have enough cameras. So the owner came to look at the damaged and again we were blamed for curb checking our own car and he simply told us he isnt paying for it and I said the hell you aren't. Someone is gonna pay for this damage. So he came to his senses after we were done chewing him out and said how much are the repairs cause I had called the place where I had my tires and rims done at and they had quoted me $200, I had the work done yesterday and ended up paying $125. He told me to bring him the receipt and he will reimburse me. So I did and he did reimburse me. I appreciate it. But let your employees know next time to own up for their mistakes before it causes the company more losses and out of pocket cost. read more

Ya sound fx, the tiny hole in the wall that very few ppl know about(which is why I liked em until they started treating me like someone who was just coming in to look at the horrible inventory they actually have) is the only place in Tucson that can install a remote start and sec kit in Tucson! I was literally just told that word for word and it was like 300 dollars! Just to save someone of you some time, audio express matches some prices, like installs, so it's a lil over $150 and takes maybe 4 hours at the most! The great people at sound fx, who don't forget are the only ones that can install this system in Tucson said it'd be around 500 and would take at least 6 hours! It's disappointing bc I've spent stupid amounts of money at that Cracker Jack stand only fir them to treat me like absolute sh**'! The last and final time I sadly went to them, just to install a sub, which isn't rocket science! The brilliant installer put the sub in the box and then let it set there for hours on end and forgot to actually put it in my car! I had read a couple of good reviews on the web. I purchased a slick new stereo receiver at Best Buy, and I brought it here to be installed. The place was busy with locals (a good sign). Sure enough, they knew my 2003 car make and model by heart, and knew exactly what it would take, including the necessary dash kit and harness: $33 for the labor, $20 for the dash kit, and $10 for the harness.
