I have used Interstate Pest Management many times over the years, and I will continue to do so because of the exceptional service they provide. Friendly and knowledgeable people that really know their business. I recently asked them to help me with some mice that I have been trying to get rid of in my basement crawl space area. They recommended that I install the CleanSpace Encapsulation System, which will keep ground moisture out of the crawl space area as well as mold, and the bad odor associated with mold. It would also block mice and insect entrance ways. I built the home 32 years ago and I never properly sealed the crawl space area. My family and I have been living with a health hazard in my home for many years, as mold is dangerous stuff. I had Interstate install the system for us. Wow!! it took only 3 days from 2 hard working men. This was a dirty job with spider webs, dead rodents, tight narrow spaces to squeeze through, and that awful odor of mold. These guys seemed to never take a break and they did a truly amazing job. Everything is sealed and dry and it looks great and very clean. The 2 men that did the work were Herlindo and Romero. I could not have asked for more than what Interstate Pest Management and these 2 men provided. High quality and extremely professional people and product. The CleanSpace Encapsulation System is absolutely fantastic and it looks great. I'm just sorry that I didn't install it many years ago. I would highly recommend Interstate Pest Control. And I was impressed with their phone response however they were fully booked due to the heatwave and could not provide the service, but they recommended Interstate. Have been dealing with rat in infestation Interstate sent their guys out with bate n snap traps for 6 months then because the rat wasn't going into their bate box/snap trap Had suggested that a wildlife trap guy would resolve issue... only after 2 weeks they get nothing I suggested that the wildlife guy use peanut butter to attract the rat... he informed me that his professional knowledge was sufficient thus I came to the point that I didn't need their services The following day I bought 2 snap traps put peanut butter on both and got a catch of one rat and hit on the other Then we searched property over found a nest of 9... 2 day old rat pups which we removed My point being I was in a long contract with a compost who had zero accomplishments in 7 months... beware read more

These guys are the absolute worst. Rude, refuse to do their job, and left me in a precarious position dealing with a dead rat in my ventilation system. Don't waste your money on them! Dudes nose is so used to dealing with funk he can't find the rat and refuses to even say there's a rat. We recently had our first visit with the "all seasons package" treating for ants and wasps, Jarrett was great, he was friendly and professional and someone you would want coming to your house. Donavan came to my house today, Tuesday, October 24, 3017, to help solve a reaccurring problem with a mice issue in my kitchen. He was very professional and checked every possible place (both inside & out ) that could have a hole where they are coming in !!! He even moved the refrigerator & checked for holes behind it which no technician had ever done. He also found holes in a under counter cupboard that had never been discovered !!! I called interstate pest today & they told me the first time I had called about this was February 2013 ....over 4 1/2 years ago !!! They would come check at least 4 times a year & sometimes there would be mice in their traps & sometimes not. I am upset that I have had to deal with this for so long & pay the $420 yearly fee (when I first signed up it was $100 dollars a year & totally my fault that I had Interstate automatically take out of my account & not noticed the increase ) !!! Anyway Donavan F. was fantastic today & he is coming back in 1 1/2 weeks to make sure no more mice are getting in. I will write another review then to see if my problems is finally solved. Been having trouble keeping up with wasp nest removal so decided to call in the professionals. Called on Monday and they were able to send out a tech the very next day. Tech showed up right on time and was extremely knowledgeable and able to fully explain all the services they offered. I could have gone with the one time visit for $275 that comes with a 2 month guarantee OR a service plan. I elected to go with the quarterly service plan. $200 for the first visit (which included wasp next removal, preventative ant spraying and sweeping all the eaves around the house) then $98 every 3 mos, when they come out and adjust the treatment based on the pest concern. This includes all the pests I could think of outside the house and they'll even tailor a treatment for inside, if needed - at no additional cost. PLUS if anything comes up between treatments, I just call for an extra visit and it's at no charge. So we'll see how this goes for a year. For me, I don't have the time or the interest to constantly monitor for pests until it's too late. So I think this will be worth it. Plus it's a tax deductible service that goes along with home improvement and maintenance costs! Lastly, I really appreciate the fact that they use "pet-friendly" treatments so no danger of my dog getting into anything that will make him sick. :) read more

I was initially not happy with my season plan but they made it right in the end and I would use them again. I have used interstate pests for ant control for a few years and have been happy with their reliability and service. I've been on a perimeter quarterly spray which has worked until recently when the ants started coming in the house, probably due to excessive heat I am very uncomfortable with allowing bait inside the house and Brad, the owner is working with me to help take care of the problem with minimal ant poison inside the house. The service technician, Donovan, arrived earlier than the agreed-upon timeframe (but he did call prior to his departure) and that was appreciated. His inspection was very thorough and took the better part of two hours. I walked with him everywhere (except the crawl space in the attic) and asked him many questions. My concerns were addressed thoroughly and questions answered thoughtfully. Not only did I get the impression that he knew his job but I also felt like he has a job he likes and appreciates. The inspection fee was well worth it to me, for peace of mind, and I know I would appreciate his efforts if I decide on a package with Interstate. This company is misleading. I got a quote for them to come out to spray my home for fleas. They told me that they would spray all the floors, furniture and outside for only $125. My landlord got an invoice from them stating that they sprayed for spiders. I have fleas not spiders crawling around my place. I called the exterminators after they came out the first time, because these little bugs are still roaming around my home. The lady told me on the phone that they spoke with my landlord, and they paid for the bare minimum to get rid of the fleas. First of all, they lady I spoke to from this company did not give me multiple price quotes. She gave me a quote to spray a two bedroom duplex. She told me that is would cost $275 to spray everything to get rid of the fleas. That price is $125 more than what Terminex quoted me. I spoke to my landlord, and she told me that she did not speak to anyone about different price quotes. I made the exterminators to come back out, but the guy wanted to only spray underneath the house. How is that going to fix the problem of the fleas inside of the home? The fleas are not going any where. If the guy was not lazy and sprayed in my home again the second time, I probably would not have any more problems with these insects. I just want them to go away. I have fogged my home twice, put borax all over the floor and had the exterminator come out, but nothing seems to work. This company is not worth the time and money. I recommend having a different company come out, because the guy who came out to my home casually walked through my home making a least amount of effort to get rid of this flea infestation. read more

We had a problem with rats in our two story plus attic, SW Portland, house which I had been trying to solve for about a month. Third (?) generation pest guy Brandon came to your house, inspected spaces difficult to access in the attics, around the house, under eaves. He knew where to look and how to analyze the details I gave him. A less honest exterminator could have trumped up some expensive solutions, but Interstate didn't. Good company. They helped our niece last year with both a serious rat problem and also a box elder beetles infestation. A good, professional company. read more

We had an issue with carpet beetles in our family room, and my wife called another pest company. They came in and said that we likely had mice as well, and that mice feed on the beetles. They thought perhaps the beetles were feeding on the carpet. They quoted close to $1000 to address both issues. I thought this was ridiculously high, so I called Interstate. Brad came by and said that there must be food somewhere that created the issue, and that likely mice somewhere had created a food stash that the beetles were feeding off. When we bought the house the previous summer we had also bought some furniture in the family room. Brad and I moved the furniture to find a pile of old dog food, which sometime in the past mice had gathered. This was the food source, and was where the beetles were most found. I then asked about beetle eradication, and Brad said it was not necessary, and that now we've found the source we just need to clean/vacuum the carpet and we're good, saving a huge amount of money. They did not counter offer on getting rid of beetles. He was dead right on the food thing. He also countered on an assertion by the other company that mice were burrowing holes around the house, and said that mice are not burrowers, which is right. read more
