Our…read morehouse was so full of ants that we would find them on rugs, on ceilings, even in our bed at night. They were everywhere. We had Campbell out a couple of time, but it got worse instead of better. Then they sent Darryl, and he earned our eternal gratitude. He found ant trails we didn't even point out, or know we had, and figured out where they were going to and coming from. He went into rooms that we hadn't reported a problem in (with permission, of course...) and showed us where additional ant activity was. Then he baited incredibly carefully, to ensure our cats would not be at risk of exposure to the bait. (Our cats loved Darryl too!) He even followed up with a text a few days later, saying he was thinking about our job, and he wanted to know if the situation had improved! Who does that?! It had improved, by 85 - 90%, but we still saw ants. So he returned and spent an equal amount of time and patience identifying their sources. Darryl has made a tremendous difference in our ability to enjoy our home He is a treasure, and a super nice person, Thanks Darryl, and thanks to Campbell for sending him!!

Within less than 24hrs they were able to come out and get it taken care of for us. Tyler was an exceptional technician and really went above and beyond. He went onto the roof to check our second story eaves for nests we could possibly not see and lo and behold he found 2 which he also removed. Then he went to town on our sugar ant problem spots in the rocky border around our walking paths as it has been a hot spot of activity lately. All on one of the hottest days of the year. They kept me informed every step of the way and took photos of the problem areas. They wrote up a proposal so there were no financial surprises and the proposal comes with a year guarantee. Samuel V came out today and closed up all the open spaces. He too was thorough and kept me informed and also showed me photos of the work. I highly recommend.

He went under the house, found evidence of a new rodent incursion and then covered the whole property to mend the holes in mesh that covered crawlspace vents, set traps and then came to explain what was going on under my floors. He showed me pictures of both the problem areas and areas that appeared secure under my house. We then walked the house perimeter to show where the critters likely got in there during the recent snowstorm. I'm confident in the accuracy of his assessment. He'll be back in a week to check on the traps. I have needed a new vapor barrier down there so I will be getting a bid for that as well. All in all, the pricing was fair and the service exceptional. I called to ask for more information about their services and they answered all of my questions without any pressure to sign up. I appreciated that they explained in advance which products they would use and gave me a realistic timeline on how quickly we'd see results. Once I signed up, they were able to send someone within a few days. Their service technician Brad showed up right at the start of the 2 hour window and he was truly courteous and professional. He told us which products he was using and how they worked, and gave us a fact sheet as well as some pre-baited traps to use if we saw more ant activity inside the home. He also removed wasp nests and even filled a small hole in the crawlspace vent on the exterior of our house, which I feel was really going above and beyond. After the service was complete, I got an email with all of the details of what was applied and where, which I think is an excellent practice. It's only been a few weeks since the first treatment, but the number of ants inside our home went down pretty quickly and lately we haven't see any at all. I do understand we may see more as the ants move through their life cycle, but I'm really pleased with the results so far.

After that other contract was over I found a pest control company the right way- I did an internet search and found a few candidates and read some reviews, and concluded that Aspen looked like the best prospect. Since then they've done a pest control service visit four times a year and I have had very little problem with any pests during that time. It's always hard to know for sure how much it's helping because you don't know how well it would be going if you didn't have the service, but it has been going well and I have always been very pleased with the professional and friendly attitude of the Aspen personnel.

We chose them because of their humane way of dealing with wildlife, which was my main concern. The awesomely-super-cool Cory came out to check on our raccoon and found she was a mom with at least one baby. She had clearly been living under our house for a while, as there were multiple nests and tons of damage. Cory gave me all my options on how he can remove her and her family, while also educating me on the ways of mama raccoons. (I was amazed to learn they are very clean animals making multiple nests as needed to maintain a clean environment for themselves and their babies.) Obviously I wanted the most humane and safe way to get rid of mama and her babies. I shared all the info Cory gave me with my husband that evening and we decided how we'd proceed. However, we didn't need to have Cory remove her, because mama raccoon took it upon herself to leave our house that night, and took her baby with her. (Clearly having Cory and my heads poke down below the entry door shining a flashlight at her in the middle of the afternoon kinda spooked her - she got the hell out and took her kit with her as soon as night fell!) Once mama raccoon and family were gone, we had the awesomely-super-cool-amazing Cory come out to assess the damage - the DAMAGE was almost $3,000! Yikes! But not to fear, our awesomely cool homeowners insurance company took care of all but $450.00 - yay! On Friday, June 16th, 2017 - the day of the repairs: Oh my gaaawd! I can not say enough about these guys! 4 (maybe 5?) guys (including the awesomely cool Cory) showed up at 9:30am and went right to work. They protected every inch of my home where they needed access: entry, hallway, master bedroom, master bathroom, master closet - ALL protected against anything icky they needed to pull out of there. They were all nice, polite and considerate. They did a great job - A GREAT JOB! We now have a completely clean, repaired, non-stinky, lovely smelling crawlspace thanks to the awesomely-super-cool team of Cory, John, Tyler, Cameron. Three months on from their final visit and second vapor barrier, we witnessed a rat run across the yard and under the house and disappear. Surprise, surprise -- we found yet another enormous entry point their team missed in the first ten visits. Prior to this, we had two additional follow up visits to cover other gaps in the foundation that were missed in the initial installation of a barrier -- it's like someone didn't do a thorough walk through and check of the work the day it was performed. In addition, we've had numerous issues with their team showing up unannounced to do work, and then arguing with us telling us they don't need us home to do the work so it's okay. It isn't okay to show up unannounced, as it interrupts our own schedules, animals, and focus ability for work. They also need access to our secured yard so they can't actually complete the work without us there. I've held back for a very long time on writing a review, but seeing the rat run straight into the house today was the last straw in my tolerance for such low quality work. I am really sad to be writing this, but sadder still to be living in a rat-infested home because I trusted the wrong company to help us.

Later we were able to inspect them outside! There were playing cards, a pine cone, and a massive, disgusting amount of dust/grime among other things. I was impressed by the process from start to finish and the noticeable difference in air quality afterward. The scheduling process was easy and transparent. I called on a Tuesday, and they were able to fit me within two weeks. The office staff clearly explained the pricing structure (which was fixed based on the size of the house, with optional add-ons like dryer vent cleaning) and sent a confirmation text the day before. The technicians, Andreas & Cody, called me 50 minutes before arrival, right arrived pretty close to the promised time. I knew there was construction down the street so I figured they would be delayed due to stopped traffic. The two arrived in a well-marked truck and was immediately professional. They took time to explain the negative pressure vacuum system they use, which involved hooking up a large hose to the main duct trunk near the furnace. They wore boot covers inside the house, which I appreciated. The cleaning itself involved systematically sealing off all registers and then using powerful air whips into each vent to agitate and loosen all the debris. They showed me the incredible amount of dirt, dust, and junk they removed from the main trunk--it was genuinely shocking and visually compelling. When finished with the vents they took on the dryer. The lint cleaned out of the vent and the filter was surprising. I expect the drying cycles will be quicker with a clean system. The entire process took approximately 5 hours. Once finished, they sealed up the access holes they created cleanly. There were only two rooms where they forgot to move furniture back in place. The immediate difference was significant: the air in the house feels fresher and less "stuffy," and the HVAC system runs noticeably quieter. I am confident that the removal of years of dust and allergens will benefit our household, especially during allergy season. Better Air Northwest delivered exactly what they promised: professional service, clear communication, and excellent results. I highly recommend them if you are looking to improve your indoor air quality.

The technicians arrived right on schedule. They were extremely courteous and I asked them to explain the process before they began. The cleaning was thorough as they meticulously went through each vent and the main duct system. As expected there was a slight smell when starting the furnace back up (not dissimilar to how it might smell after being off all summer) but that cleared up quickly. We haven't had them cleaned in the 12 years we've been here (I know, I know...) but I really expected them to be worse. They even replaced the filters on the furnace (I provided them). The pricing was reasonable and comparable to similar services. It took about 3 hours for a 3k sq ft house. We also had them clean out the dryer vent.

Pete's Pest Control came to the house I rent a room in to do an inspection when prompted in writing for fleas and rodents. The live-in landlord began by informing the technician that he was simply there to document the non-existence of these issues, despite repeated notices given by multiple tenants. Due to the landlord's assertion that there was no need for him to be present as he denied fleas and mice, and thus his unwelcoming and hurried behavior during the visit, the tech was subjected to tension which is not normally found in house visits (source: I have also worked inside thousands of homes for several years and have seen it all). The tech was extremely patient and professional given the demeanor of the landlord and tense environment. Although the landlord initially refused a rodent inspection citing that he only wanted written proof of no fleas, he acquiesced when the tech mentioned rodent inspection was included in the inspection service. The tech (Eric) dutifully engaged with both the landlord and the tenant and readily found evidence of mouse droppings and numerous entry points in the kitchen and exterior. The landlord informed Eric that years ago he had another pest company out but declined their entry point sealing services at that time. The landlord was recorded making numerous conflicting statements as he attempted to engage the Pete's Pest services in asserting his fraud that pests were a non-issue. He then denied the offered rodent pest services were necessary despite the evidence of droppings and entry points the tech found. Despite all of this, Eric was an exemplary representative of Pete's Pest Control so much that I asked if he was the owner. I would highly recommend him or anyone at Pete's Pest Control for the expertise, experience, and professionalism exhibited by Eric was top-notch. Thanks Eric! read more

I would HIGHLY recommend Pete's Pest Control. We moved into a rental house and didnt realize it was heavily infested with FLEAS! the owner of the house was not very helpful or concerned, but my three small kids (all under age five) were covered in bites. Being brand new to the area, and the state I was overwhelmed and lost as far as what to do. I went online and searched and just by reading others reviews decided to call pete. I am so grateful I did, he has been beyond helpful. From our first phone conversation he was so great about explaining everything. I now know more about fleas and anything else to do with them, then I ever imagined thanks to the time he took to explain it to me. Out of concern for myself and my small children, He even came out to our house on Memorial Day, not the next day, on the day itself that most take off. We had a carpenter ant problem since we moved into our house, about 5 years ago. They were big and numerous and growing in numbers each spring. Standing in my kitchen killing ants and sweeping up their little bodies for a few hours every night was not my idea of fun. Soon we were finding them down our hallway and into the kid's bedroom and bathroom! We had tried all the chemicals that they sell at the stores but were very concerned for our kids safety. I was traumatically woken up this morning by my husband who was flailing about screaming about having a rat on his head in our bed! After wiping the sleep out of my eyes and shuffling some items around, our worst fears were realized - we had a rat in our room! I waited until a somewhat reasonable hour (7am) and gave Pete's Pest Control a phone call expecting to leave a voicemail that would never be returned. Instead I spoke with Pete who was able to advise us on next steps, prevention and for the most part ease our mind. Pete took the time to speak with my husband and I for over 15 minutes while we asked every question a first time homeowner could. I can't say enough good things about Pete and his excellent service. Right from the start he was refreshingly honest and informative about our rat problem. He didn't try to sell us some long-term monthly contract like everyone else we called, and his rates beat everyone hands-down. Pete was awesome....very honest, very upfront, and educational. I didn't know a thing about pests, but recently discovered termite damage behind some drywall being replaced. Pete came out (on time) took a look at it and several other places in the house, and determined the issue had already been taken care of at some point in the past and he didn't need to do anything. Additionally, he found several issues that could lead to potential pest problems and gave me several suggestions as to what I could do to take preventive measures. He came on time and was super friendly. Explained what he was doing and why; answered every question I had. He lets you know what to expect, and he will return for up to a year if any more ants show their faces after the treatment takes its toll. I am so grateful for Pete's Pest Control for coming out to our house as fast as they did. We were over ridden with ants and it was starting to drive us crazy. We called them at the beginning of one week and they were out by the end of the week to help us out and spray. They quoted us a price and it was not a $1 more, which is a rare form in todays world. I heard of Pete's Pest Control from another customer by word of mouth. I called on a Sunday and Rhonda actually answered my call, was informative and friendly. I was scheduled immediately for the following Tuesday. When Monday around I had to cancel due to a family emergency and Rhonda was professional, understanding and even offered to still assist me in the future when I would be available, at no charge! We were fortunate to have Tyler take care of our mouse/rat problem. Tyler also is addressing the cockroach explosion in our kitchen and bathroom. This guy is the best in the business; he knows everything roach-related and shares all the nitty-gritty, good and bad. He has put forth much more effort than other exterminators we have used in the past. I am confident that we will be roach-free very soon and that we will stay that way. Just a quick shout out to Rhonda and James at Pete's. Rhonda was responsive in scheduling. James came right on time(even with a courtesy call ahead of time to say he might be a little late) and proceeded to kick ass on these poor sugar ants! He was quick and effective and knew what he was doing. We had a bad sugar ant problem at our house in Portland and now they are completely gone. Pete's Pest Control is the best in town. I call them about every 12-24 months when spring ushers in the sugar ants. I love that after all these years, it's still Rhonda's familiar voice on the other end - she is always quick to return calls/emails and does her best to get a tech out as quickly as possible. I've only needed a follow-up visit once in seven years, and that was mostly because I forgot to tell the tech about one area that needed treatment. Despite that, Pete's still came out the next day and did not charge me. Highly recommend! read more

A "rodent" chewed a hole in my car's window washer fluid receptacle. David, from Pete's, came to the rescue. He was very conscientious about setting traps and communicating the process, even going into my crawl space without complaints. A return visit yielded a trapped rat (yuck). David continued his efforts with follow up visits, keeping me informed of his expected arrival time, etc. Pete's Pest Control has been my go-to for many years and I've recommended them to family and friends along the way. Pete served us at our old home for ants and mice. He does not only do an excellent job at pest control, but he does explain everything that he is doing and does a great job at explaining it. We recently moved and found that we have carpentar ants without a doubt we called Pete and the same wonderful service was received. Just used Pete's for the fourth time. Two years ago they took care of a severe flea problem in my apartment, and now they are taking care of a spider-mite problem in my new house. Last week James did a very thorough inspection, including the entire parameter of my crawl space. Today, Pete found a bunch of yellow jacket nests that I didn't even know about. This guy is amazing! I tried everything to get rid of the ants in my home, nothing worked. Someone told me about Pete so I gave him a call. He came out the next morning, quickly treating my home. He explained everything he was doing and what to look for in the future. Within 2 days the ants were finally gone! Pete was fast, professional and kind. All this and he uses eco-friendly products. I am terrified of Bees and Wasps! I had several paper wasps guarding my front porch and they'd swoop at me if I entered or exited my front door. I do not recommend Eradicon Pest Services…read more When I purchased my duplex in January, the previous owners had already been using Eradicon for a rat issue for over a year. In June, my tenants suspected rats were back. I contacted Eradicon (their name was on the traps), and the soonest they could send someone was 3 weeks out. The technician, Cameron, found that all the traps were empty of bait, refilled them, plugged one hole, and claimed there was no new rat activity. There was no follow-up, no clear communication about cost, and no mention of future service--even though I asked. Just a few days later, my tenants trapped four baby rats inside their kitchen. I called Eradicon again--another two-week wait. At that point, I contacted EcoCare Pest Control, who came within a few days. Their inspection uncovered multiple dead rats, several unsealed access points, lots of fresh droppings, and a crawl space in serious need of cleaning and repair--all of which Eradicon had overlooked. When I called Eradicon to cancel service, I was transferred to someone named Mitchell. I asked multiple times to end the relationship cleanly, but he continued making excuses and insisted I owed $495 for five services--none of which I agreed to. There was never a cost estimate or service agreement discussed with me. Mitchell also claimed the ongoing rat problem was due to the "high concentration of rats in the area"--a statement that felt like deflection rather than accountability. When I mentioned that I would be leaving a review, he accused me of being "retaliatory." This company was unhelpful, unresponsive, and evasive. I wish I had switched sooner. If you're dealing with a serious pest issue, I highly recommend going elsewhere. (Updated August 2025): Eradicon's reply contains several misrepresentations I need to correct. This property was serviced by Eradicon multiple times before I purchased it in January 2025. This was confirmed not only by the tenants, but also by the previous owners' financial statements and by Mitchell himself when I called. In June, I contacted Eradicon after signs of rats returned. Their first available appointment was three weeks out. The tech, Cameron, said there was no active rat activity, refilled empty traps, plugged one hole, and gave no plan or pricing, despite me asking. Ten days later, EcoCare inspected and found dead rats, fresh droppings, and unsealed access points--all of which Eradicon missed. EcoCare backed this with photo evidence. When I called to cancel, Mitchell claimed I owed $495 for five visits, which I never agreed to and was never quoted. He also blamed the infestation on a "high rat population in the area"--a baseless excuse. This duplex is in a residential St. John's neighborhood. I wasn't confrontational--I simply declined to pay for unapproved services and said I'd leave a review. That's not retaliation--it's transparency. Eradicon charged for repeated visits while doing little to solve the issue. I've since hired a more effective provider. Others can make their own call--but I won't be using Eradicon again.

Then they call and say that won't work we need your debit card. So we trusted the process. Stupid on our part evidently. We had to go to the bank and cancel the debit card so they cannot take any more money. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Just be very careful with this company.

The only problem as a customer is getting yourself educated up to their standard because what you may think is the way to do things you'll quickly find out you are wrong like I did after many different attempts and other services, I didn't realized that PEST Plus would've been cheaper in the long run had I used them first! friendly people soft sale of their excellent business no pressure but if you have a problem, they'll try and emphasize the issues you're avoiding if you don't do something soon. Don't do what my neighbors did and paid 1/3 of the cost and then the bats came back with no guarantees and now they're spending more money on the damage and they still need to get the proper job done. I would say their service was above par and they were true to their word for follow-ups and adjustments and advice.

We hired them during Covid for rats that had gotten into our crawl space. They did an initial…read moreinspection but then couldn't come back for another so when we had dead rats, we had to leave them. We had great service for the first year or two, but then it was a gradual irritation on their end every time we called about a box that wasnt filled with bait or seeing rats. I am loyal but the last time we called, they were so abrupt and unpleasant after 5+ years that we cancelled our service and went with a new one. I wish they would have listened to our concerns and came up with solutions. We would have paid for additional service if there was a solution. instead, we paid to have our space cleaned and sealed and traps filled (mostly) and still had rats out in the open. I would have sent this feedback directly to Banish, as I don't want to hurt a local business, but they were so unpleasant on the phone and in person picking up the boxes that Im posting here.
