Literally had a crappie experience. Told me there was nothing wrong with the Motorhome when they had to have known the batteries were dead and lied and said they left the key on. Roof needs replaced A/C wasn't working they said just needs to run as it ran cold with them when it was completely out of Freon. Then the slide stopped working due to water damage that they tried to hide. Yes it's my mistake believing these guys and should have done more due diligence so it is what it is. I think their maintenance guy was even pooping in the rv as when I pulled up to camp realized it had a huge pyramid that looked fresh. Don't trust these guys do your diligence and it was our first rv so thanks for the great experience. Also it seems known in the area through other places this is a place to steer clear of sooo. Chino at Interstate RV tried to purchase my RV at a discounted price because he claimed it had water damage. I declined his offer. The next day 4 guys came and poured oil in my coolant reservoir while 2 of them distracted me and claimed it had a blown head gasket. I believed them and sold it at a discounted price to get rid of it. The next day Chino informed me he was buying the RV for $16k. When I told him about the engine he said I got scammed and it happens all the time. I called the guy that purchased it and accused him of scamming me. He told me he did not and sold the RV to Chino for $16k. Chino then called me and said there was nothing wrong with the engine and it had no water damage. The RV was delaminating from water leaking into the sides. In my opinion, Chino is working with these scammers. I am a senior citizen and a disabled veteran and Chino laughed and said I was stupid to fall for this scam. These people are despicable! Stay away from Interstate RV. Chino is selling my 2014 Thor Freedom Elite for $23k. He is listing it as in perfect condition, fully aware there is water damage and the scammers drove it to his RV lot 90 miles away with oil in the coolant. I would advise to stear clear of this RV and this business, they will rip you off! read more

My husband and I have been searching for a newer, "good condition" 5th Wheel trailer. Interstate RV in Auburn, CA had an ad on Craigslist for one that looked perfect! The ad describes this RV as "LIKE NEW". We drove over on a Saturday morning after confirming the RV was available the day before. We arrived at 10am. They were not open. The owner said due to Covid, he was only open by appointment on Saturdays. That was understandable. He offered us an appointment at 2pm. We drove 45 minutes to see the RV. Not a big deal, but it was an inconvenience. We decided to walk over to the RV and see the exterior since we couldn't come back at 2pm to view the inside. We were surprised to find damage. The pictures of the exterior of the RV posted in the ad were taken at an angle to crop out significant damage to the right side of the nose cone. We could see the fiberglass had some voids in it from the impact. It was raining at the time!!! When we asked about the damage, the owner stated it was "cosmetic". The damage should have been clearly stated in their ad, with an appropriate picture. Needless to say, we would have passed on this one. read more

I Purchased a Class A motorhome, paid in full, that he had on consignment. What a mess this has been. They said they had gone through everything and everything worked great. 1. Heater does not work. It was 100+ that day. Hard for me to test. Found out the line inside the heater had been capped. Oh well, my bad for not testing completely. 2. The roof looked like it needed a little love. I was not that versed in RV roofs. Assumed it just needed a maintenance/service. My bad, I should have not taken his word for it being a good roof. Took it in to have it sealed/serviced. I find out the whole roof needs to be replaced. I guess I am getting a $7K lesson on RV roofs. (Also, the roof repair place said someone rubbed baking soda in the inside ceiling material to hide the water stains) 3. First trip out, I find out the shower drain leaks into the underside of the motorhome and onto the ground. 4. After about an hour of use, the generator will no longer run. I have not dug into this yet. Final Straw - The registration showed up today. They spelled my name completely wrong on the DMV paperwork. He took a copy of my ID. How do you mess this up? Now I have to go spend time at the DMV to fix their error. I am over this. I understand some of this falls on me. I was not experienced with motorhomes and chased a deal without having the expertise to really inspect a roof. But, as an RV dealer, they know they are selling problematic RVs to people that dont know what they are looking at. If it were not for the DMV mess up, I would have given them 2-3 stars as some of this is my bad for not looking/knowing. Buyer beware. Know that this place will not completely test everything on the RVs and will not tell you everything wrong. For the right buyer who knows what they are doing, you might be able to get a good deal here. read more

Stay away! They are dishonest/shrewd. We relied on their expertise as novice buyers. BIG mistake. Asked twice if it had leaks. Tony said no. We paid all cash for our rig. About a month post purchase (when we were preparing to take our maiden voyage) here's a list of things we learned: the dometic fridge inside of it had a recall and could catch the entire rig on fire. As full-timers with 2 young kids, that was bad news. We got that taken care of ASAP under manufacturers recall. RV interstate should've caught that. Fridge repair folks said btw your rubber roof is on its last leg. Huh? They said you may have 6 months left on it. The black stuff showing through the white is the membrane = last layer of the roof. How much is a roof? $8-$9k. The dealership sold us an RV that technically should've carried a salvage title given the cost of the repair, but didn't. When I asked Tony at dealership why he lied about the roof he said I purchased as-is and he told me there were no leaks. He claim no expertise on RV roofs so he "didn't know" it needed a roof. He then suggested a cheaper alternative of a roll-on product for a few hundred bucks instead. When asked if he'd cover, he refused. He reminded me I purchased as-is. I said I purchased as-you-disclosed it. While on our maiden voyage we had to call the yolo county fire Dept because of an egg-like odor in the rig. They found nothing. The odor eventually subsided. By our second trip it happened again. This time the smell was stronger and more poignant. We knew not to call the fire dept. Instead we searched an RV Facebook group and came up with a list of possible culprits behind the smell and started crossing off the list. Turned out, the batteries that powered the coach was the problem. RV interstate sold us a rig with a car battery hooked to a 12 v battery under our stairs. The car battery was frying the 12 v battery causing a toxic gas to be released...a stinky hot liquid was spewing from the battery's top. We sent video to a mobile RV repair guy. He pointed out that the batteries didn't match. We immediately purchased (2) new 12-V deep cycle batteries. Another discovery we made was after leaving our maiden voyage. We'd put some water in our fresh water tank to gear up for our first dry camping trip. Following behind the rig in a car, I noticed water coming from underneath the rig. By the time we got to our dry camp site the back carpet in the bedroom was wet. The water tank leaks! Well, by November we were in our rainy season in California. It came early. First big rains in the RV we had leaks coming from 4 different places. When we went to show Tony, in real time, that his lies were stacking up, his dealership was closed that rainy day. We walked his lot anyway and saw another rig in his lot leaking inside. Some poor unsuspecting person is going to buy that, I thought. We had a repair person patch the immediate leaks as we're on a waiting list for a roll-on fix. Doubt we'll keep it so putting $8-$9k into a new roof doesn't make sense at this point. While having a repair guy patch the roof he discovered and removed so many silicone chunks from the roof. Some unskilled persons patched the rubber roof with silicone. RV interstate is incompetent to sell RVs. Unless you're up for a fixer upper, don't buy from these guys. And certainly don't pay their asking price. We were clear that we were full-timing with kids. We spent our hard-earned cash on a money pit. We've been apprehensive to put it on the road to drive it long distance because we now don't trust that the mechanics are up to par as Tony said. We live in our Rig full-time and it's kind of what we're stuck with. We're making the most of it. You live and you learn. The BEST time to buy an RV is during rainy season. We know that now. I'd expected that RV Interstate was an ethical dealership when I saw all the items referencing Jesus on social media and in the office. I was like, cool. They'll be good to do business with. I was wrong. It took me a while to write this review because I was torn. I support business. I support entrepreneurs. I don't want to be the one to drag an entrepreneur's reputation through the mud. Facts are facts. Do your research. Take the rig for a good look over by a professional who knows RV's. As a novice, you could be a sitting duck when dealing with a company like Interstate RV. Interstate RV is incompetent to sell RVs. Either they don't know the basics or they don't tell the truth. Either way, a novice buyer is screwed with them. OH, one last thing. When we paid all that cash he wanted to send us off the lot with no gas. Yes! No gas in the tank. I had to negotiate $50 in gas. $50!!! If you read this review and you have a trustworthy dealership in NorCal area that you had a great experience with that you'd recommend we go purchase our next RV from....comment here.
