The different activities and they way they engage the kids it's nicely done. The jokes are hilarious for the time. The soldier's ration was a great way to give a nice experience to everyone in regards of the limitations. The ration included a small piece of corn bread, a slice of cheese, a piece or jerky maybe about and inch and an Apple. I would recommend you check the weather before coming. In the summer I suggest bringing a hat because the sun gets pretty hot. In the colder months make sure you layer and maybe even bring a beanie and bring closed toe shoes. We couldn't leave without out trying something from the kitchen. We ordered a Family chicken pot pie. Please read the full instructions before baking. I got home and was working simultaneously and I accidentally burned the top. I skipped the part were you brush the top with egg to make it brown. Instead to brown it I put it in the broiler Next time I'll be bringing and apple pie home as well. You can order ahead of time, but they ask for you to order before 11am if you want your order to be ready by the time the programs is over.

This was my first time going to this event. Not sure if I'd go again, but I'll give you the pros…read moreand cons. Pros: 1. Lots of beer and a good variety of it! I believe there were about 90 vendors, each pouring about 2-3 of their beers on average. Great opportunity to try breweries that you've never been to. 2. The park is big and there's lots of shade and trees, which came in handy on a 90 degree day like today. 3. Lots of porta potties available throughout the park. 4. A decent selection of food vendors. 5. Beer lines are not too long and the lines go fast. 6. Lots of discount ticket codes available online for this event. Just do a search and you can save $5-10 per ticket. 7. Free water & soda. 8. Water mist blowing in certain sections of the park to keep people cool. 9. There's a shuttle service, but they don't start taking people back to the off-site parking lot until 3:30pm, so if you want to leave early, you're stuck. Cons: 1. There is only one way in and out of the park, and the lines can be long. It's worth it to buy the VIP pass for $10 more and get in an hour early to avoid the long lines. 2. Cops are waiting at the entrance/exit. Definitely have a designated driver or have someone drop you off (friend, Uber, etc). 3. Ticket prices are kind-of high, even if you can find a discount code online. I think $35 general admission is fair. 4. The food vendors were spread out in different areas. I think it'd be better to put them all in one section. Also, food is an extra cost (not part of the ticket). 5. No maps available. 6. No cell phone service available in the park. You have to catch a ride from someone to get back to the entrance if you want to call Uber. If you're a beer aficionado, then you'll love it! I'd give this event 3.5 stars overall. For 2 VIP tickets plus Uber, the total event came out to $150. Not worth it if you're just an occasional beer drinker.

I love the concept and how you are celebrating your departed loved ones in a beautiful and colorful way. This event had food vendors and a contest for best makeup/dress. The altars were so touching and cool. There were some altars in the trunk of a low rider, an altar for dogs, and much more. There were awesome Aztec dances and drum performances. There was a tree of life where people could write notes to their loved ones. I took a couple of friends here who never knew about the holiday and they really enjoyed the cultural experience. I felt emotional looking at the photos of loved ones as I am still grieving my dad's loss. It was touching to see family members celebrated this way. The bad: I wish this was a tradition my family took part in! The interesting: I parked in a garage parking lot that required payment supposedly but I ended up not needing to pay. I am unsure if this was a special event exception.

So many different kind of vendors; especially lots of FOOD!!! There were so many music and dance entertainments. The place was very crowded. There were street parkings. When I arrived around 5pm there weren't many parking space left, but lucky to find one spot like two blocks away from the festival....which is not too bad. It was a wonderful time when family and friends gather to remember and celebrate departed loved ones.

Lol kids running wildly, I'm thinking their parents dropped them off and left. Also if you should know it was, Shoulder to shoulder rubbing with strangers. Long long long lines around and hour in. Curious if the crowd died down later in the night ? Since it was 4-10pm The free music was fun, and set the mood. I love that healthy junk promotes wellness for all. What a fun market faire type of event! A lot of vendors from previous years and photos were NOT here. Since this was my first year attending I was specifically looking for a few that looks delicious with hopes let down. Supposedly some of them come from Nor Cal and other places. I do really appreciate all of the vendors being pretty friendly, and most of all vegan. Prices were okay, the dip dots soy icecream was very overpriced. Pizza slices were also up the wazoo. Ended up eating inside of healthy junk per usual. Thought they'd have more than brauts outside, was hoping for some creative dishes... Overall; worth it if you're okay with crowds, little seating a lot of standing. Hot sun, but plenty of options to cool down with drinks or indoor places to eat at instead on the downtown area. This was a fun way to try new places though, and just a very cool event !

There are a bunch of tvs all around the place mostly on horse racing but some also had different sports on them. Our server was really nice and she was attentive and greeted us right away. My husband and I both ordered burgers. I had the derby smash burger with waffle fries and he had the Cali burger with steak fries. Both burgers came out cooked perfect. They were fresh and juicy. My smash burger came out different than I was expecting, the patty was thicker than I'm used to for a smash burger but it was still flavorful and delicious. The inside of this place is a bit dark but has a cool vibe and it is also kid friendly. We didn't have any kids with us but there were other families that had young kiddos there. When we are back in town we will definitely stop here again for dinner.

My family and I spent the day walking around Lake Perris and decided to stop by The Derby Room afterward. First and foremost, Tabitha was an AMAZING server. Despite being completely overwhelmed and handling more than seven tables on her own -- while also bussing tables -- she still managed to provide excellent service and made sure our food arrived in a timely manner. She truly did the best she could under the circumstances, and it did not go unnoticed. The reason for the 3-star rating is primarily due to the establishment being severely understaffed during our visit. In addition, the overall presentation and cleanliness of the venue appeared neglected, likely from the UFC fight night event held the evening prior. I do want to give credit where it's due though -- Tabitha remained professional, attentive, and hardworking throughout the entire experience. The food was very delicious which my children could attest to! Thank you!

However, the admission fees, parking fees, OUTRAGEOUS costs for food and drinks (spent over $200), was just over the top for us. I knew going in that we were going to splurge a little, however, the cost of some of these food items were INSANE. Truly, some of the best bites was the Birria Eggroll and the Alligator Bites, probably the couple of the cheapest things I bought! The Mango Ube Sticky Rice was also delicious. We also did the silly thing of buying the $30 baby bottle filled with Mango Pineapple Lemonade. It was yummy, and yes, the product itself is silly, but VERY cheap in that the top cracked and eventually was spilling on us throughout the day. We had to eventually throw it away; $30 in the trash. Luckily, we did the smart thing by arriving at 4:00pm (gates opened at 3:00pm) and we left by 8:00pm. Seeing the place fill up and the lines after leaving was shocking! We did not have to wait more than 15 minutes at any food vendor booth. I have read nothing but disappointment from frequent 626 Night Market attendees in the raising costs and mediocre food. I was not super impressed. There were plenty of vendors and I am in support of small businesses, but once again, VERY overpriced. Plus, we came strictly to try the foods. Thanks for the memories, but I will gladly be taking my $200+ for a much better dining experience elsewhere.
