At a business that is centered around emergency situations I am very pleased that the quality and level of customer service this company has to offer is at the highest! I can't speak for any of the other reviews but for me it set the bar! I came in to purchase a walker for my grandmother-in-law and was greeted by a sweet lady named "Lily" (I believe). After interacting with her for a short period of time I knew I was going to be taken care of as she was very knowledgeable and showed genuine care/concern for my ordeal. Not only was she kind and attentive to my needs, but she took her time to go over all the different equipment/products they had for sale. Not only was Lily's customer service skills on point but her sales skills were impressive too! She actually up sold me on a wheel chair too along with the walker I originally came in for. Their prices were also competitively less expensive than other medical suppliers; I assume due to being a smaller company (works for me!) :) All in all, office was great, products were affordable, customer service from Lily was the icing on the cake! Oxygen concentrator delivered when promised but oral instructions were cursory and there were no written instruction. in less than 10 minutes of operation, the yellow warning light went on. Called the company and they said a replacement would be sent out tomorrow. It seems that no one checked the unit before delivery. read more

Intracommunity Home Care went so many extra miles to help my mother-in-law get a portable oxygen concentrator. Her doctor's office was having a hard time replying in a timely manner to give her a prescription for the device, so Geraldine at IHC called the office to aid the transaction. After the prescription came through, they made an appointment to thoroughly explain how to use the device, and called back several times to make sure everything was going well. They thought of things my MIL might want before she even brought it up. What's really hard to express is how comfortable they made her feel during the whole process. In the weeks that followed, my MIL called us to tell us that she was using her increased ease of mobility to get out in her garden and to take walks around her neighborhood. Having such personalized attention during the process made a huge difference in her quality of life. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! My grandmother was initially given the wrong equipment and when they came out to the house to exchange it, the equipment was still not correct. After calling to get the correct equipment once again, the lady on the phone said that it was "not her problem, just deal with it". "Rented" a full electric hospital bed (upgrade fee $690). Used the bed one night and went back into the hospital/SNF. While in SNF, they called to pick up bed because Medicare wouldn't pay since I was not at home using the bed. No one was home to allow bed pickup but I called as soon as I came home for a bed pickup. When calling the company, I was treated rudely by more than one person (Crystal, supervisor, and another "lady" who hung up on me). I was trying to get the sequence of Medical billing/eligibility but they seem to give me different answers. They didn't like it that I questioned them. All I heard was that they lost money on this bed because Medicare wouldn't pay. They got my $$. Worst customer service, especially if you don't agree with them. read more

DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY FOR ANY HEALTH EQUIPMENT SUPPLIES! If negative stars are possible, I would give it! These people are unprofessional and RUDE! First, I called last Friday around 9:30a.m. and neither Crystal, the rep I have been speaking with, nor her manager, Geraldine R had come in! I left a message for Crystal or her manager, Geraldine R, to get an update on my dad's walker and NEITHER returned my call. I have spoken to a Cyrstal several times regarding a walker my dad needs so badly! She TRIED to collect a $25 copay claiming the secondary insurance denied it! FALSE! Per the insurance, no claim had been submitted. When I spoke with Crystal again, she had a different story. I followed up with her this morning informing her that dad's mobility has been severely limited because he needs this walker. I asked her why they are refusing to deliver the walker just because of the $25 copay, which the insurance had already processed. Her reply "that is our policy." She also stated since we contacted the insurance ourselves, they cannot process a delivery until they receive and process the $25! When I asked to speak with her manager, she put me on a quick hold, which I am sure she consulted Geraldine R, then got back on the phone only to tell me they have NO walkers in stock! She further told me to go somewhere else for the walker! I told her after 2 weeks of correspondence that's all she can say. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! No wonder this place only got 3.5 stars! They deserve a negative star - too bad that is not possible! AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR ANY HEALTH EQUIPMENT SUPPLIES! read more

Intercommunity Home Care Inc. summarily and heartlessly repossessed my 92-year-old mother's rental medical bed and wheelchair in February 2019 because its agent, Geraldine, and other staff, wrongly concluded that my mother had lost her health insurance. I called Geraldine and explained to her that my mother had Anthem Medicare Preferred (PPO) and not an HMO. She refused to even look at my mother's insurance card. I filed a complaint with Anthem Medicare Complaints, they conducted an investigation and agreed with me that Intercommunity was wrong (Copy of Complaint Report of Findings available on request). Part of the remedy was to start the rental process all over with Intercommunity and then work with them. I refused, because I couldn't stomach the idea of working with people I know to be mean-spirited, callous and ignorant. I told the investigator I would rather forfeit my $690 upgrade fee than knowingly leave my mother exposed to the unconscionable whims of the Intercommunity Home Care staff. I decided to go to Apria for my mother's DME needs. read more

Worked with them to get my brother a motorized scooter. I was told they could get it and after the second attempt got Medicare approval. I was told that no matter what scooter he got it was going to cost him $550. When I went on line to see the scooter they sold for approximately $800-$900. When I asked why his share was so much and why no matter which scooter he got it would be the same price. She told me that Medicare did not pay that much, they paid less than 50%/. So I called Medicare to confirm what they pay and was told it was 80%. I called Intracommunity back and told them I checked with Medicare and they pay 80%. The price then dropped to $350. He needs the chair badly so we agreed with the $350. The next day they could no longer get the scooter but could get him a three wheel scooter. I explained that I had to talk to my brother and the next morning was told it was no longer available, but they found another 4 wheeler. I told them I would get back to them as soon as I got to my brother's house, Left a message and called them the next morning. The scooter was no longer available. All this and over 11/2 months and no scooter. I was told I could use the approval letter and go to another supplier. Medicare made a three way call with them and they said we turned down what they offered and once I said that was untrue they agree I never turned down any if them. Now 3 plus months and I find out the other supplier will have to start the whole process over including submitting doctor documentation. If you deal with theys people check what with Medicare pays and what they are charging you and even if they tell you they can get the item dont count on it until you receive it. I think they were taking advantage of him being a senior and not knowing Medicare. When they quoted $550 it was twice as much money they should have been charging. read more

This company is absolutely inept in dealing with CPAP equipment!!! No supplies are carried in stock, supplies are NEVER delivered when promised, deliveries are incomplete with missing parts, etc. Employees lie about delays blaming their "supplier". And to make matters worse, employees hang up the telephone if one complains about their miserable service. I have dealt with numerous CPAP companies over an 18 year period, and all companies have ranged from good to excellent -- except this miserable failure of a company. Based on my personal interaction with Anna from Intra Community, poor customer service, rude and offensive behavior, showed no desire to resolve a patient related issue. Actually shocked someone in a customer service position was willing to be so offensive. Why give them business to be insulted? I was referred to them by my doctor, I passed on my experience back to him. He said he has had other patient complaints. Not sure if that's true but I think I'll keep using MetroMed. We, Elite Mobility Service LLC, are a non emergency medical transportation company based in Palm Desert. We were moving a client to City of Hope in Duarte from Palm Desert CA, about 112 miles. It became apparent during the drive that the client, in a standard wheelchair, was not comfortable and needed to recline. We searched by phone all over the LA area for a reclining wheelchair for the return trip without success until we found Intracommunity Home Care in Glendale. They did not have a chair in stock, but after hearing our story, made arrangements to have a new reclining wheelchair available for us in the 30 minutes it took for us to get our car there. It was a very good chair at a very fair price. That is outstanding service, and we highly recommend them! read more

If any customers rated 5* for this company then that customer is a big LIAR or they are family member of this company The customer service is very terrible, rude. The oxygen concentrator stopped working and we called the 24 hrs service line at 7pm on Saturday night, the lady name Geradine Rajah picked up to tell us a technician will call us. Oh yes!! No one call. We caled the 24 hours # 1-818 500 9014 several times, let the phone ringing for half hour to one hour, still nobody picked it up. They just ignore our calls. My mother must use the portable one that night until 8 am Sunday morning, Geradine called us and asked what happened to the Oxygen machine!!!!!! Never saying apologize and pretend nothing happened last night. The technician call one hour later asking what happened to the machine. Terrible communication!!!! Today 02/14/17 I called Geradine to complain the 24 hour service of Intracommunity Home Care Inc then I received her answer: you can switch to another company if you are not happy with this company and Good Luck to you!!! She said she sent a copy of invoice to my email but up until now I never receive it !!! We never choose this company but was sent to order medical equipment by the Rehab facility. My dad has been receiving services from Intracommunity Home Care for 4 years now. He is an 85-year old with chronic obstructive lung disease. Per his doctor's order, he needs an oxygen concentrator throughout the day and an oxygen tank as needed. In addition, his tolerance level for physical activities is low due to his decreased lung capacity so, he needed a wheelchair for mobility. Intracommunity helped my dad obtain these medical equipments without burdening us with the paperwork and dealing with the insurance company. I can always call and rely on them for any services required to maintain the equipment or to refill the O2 tanks without a problem. They also provide replacements for the oxygen cannula and filter for the oxygen concentrator. On behalf of my dad, I'm grateful for the services we have received from Intracommunity. read more

Not a reliable company. When it was time for my brother-in-law to come home from the hospital after being injured with a broken hip, Intracommunity was contacted by the hospital to deliver a walker and a raised commode. At about 10:00, Intracommunity told the hospital that the items would be delivered in an hour. He was then released. The hospital told us to call Intracommunity if delivery was not made by 12:00 and ask for an ETA. We did. They said that the driver would be there between 1:00 & 3:00. We called again at 3:00 and were told 30 to 40 minutes. After inquiring further, we were strongly promised that the driver was reliable and that he would not go home without delivering the goods. They never showed up or called and we could not contact them after they closed at 5:00. We called the next morning at 9:00 and were told that we would be the first delivery. At 10:00, the visiting RN called. Finally at 11:30, the delivery arrived, over 24 hours after the first promise. It was obviously not the first delivery. There was no explanation or apology. read more
