I was a little nervous at first and didn't know what to expect but Amalia was so sweet & professional that I immediately felt at ease. She made sure the pressure was perfect for my liking & level of comfort & intuitively knew exactly what areas needed the most work! I got a full body massage and it was a full hour of complete bliss. It's been a few days now and I still feel amazing. I haven't been able to stop talking about how rejuvenating it was! The studio was stunning - the lighting, decor and music set an incredibly relaxing vibe. She was really knowledgeable and seemed to have a lot of experience. She even gave me tips on how to care for my sore muscles at home which I especially appreciated. Amalia has such a positive and warm energy...I can be picky and particular about a massage, and she seems to know how to "customize" the right massage for me, without my having to verbalize it; she just seems to 'know'...she combines movements from an array of massage techniques that always fit what my mind, body, and spirit calls for, leaving 'ALL OF ME' in a state that is of a "religious experience"...I feel physically, and spiritually at ease after a therapeutic session with Amalia, and to add beauty to the whole thing, she never seems to lose any of her sweet, warm energy, even after she expels it into my body/soul. I had another session with Amalia from Intuitive Massage by Amalia, again, Phenomenal service, promptness, more than you pay for and the story goes on. She is treating my family members who will never go anyplace for this type therapy. I was bothered when I asked her if she saw my comments and said yes but they were removed very quickly and I ensured her it was not my doing. I'm not sure how that type thing happens but I hope Yelp can make sure everyone sees our comments, good and bad. I can say without hesitation that Amalia is the best massage therapist I have ever experienced. She listens to you and always customizes the massage to suit your specific needs for that session. Why I love the idea of massages, relaxing and being pampered, 95% of the time I leave the massage feeling disappointed. This is NOT the case with Amalia. She listened and performed a perfect massage. Asking about pressure and preferred areas - she did not 'follow a routine', but performed a customized massage that focused on troubled areas (for me my shoulder blades).
