First time here, and I honestly have to say it was one of my worst experiences at a massage place and I would not recommend to family/friends. I received a Groupon for as a gift for a couples massage with optional sauna. I called the San Marcos location to set up an appointment and they scheduled me at the Scripps location due to limited availability at their location. My fiancé and I arrived for our appointment and was informed by Talia that they were only able to take one of us at a time because there was an internal miscommunication and they did not have another available masseuse for our couples massage. So we drove another disappointed 30 minutes home while I called to make another appointment at the San macros location this time with Brianna. We arrived to our appointment at the San Marcos location the next day and provided a physical print out of the voucher / code. I received a subpar massage, especially when I asked to apply more pressure and my masseuse continued at a light pressure because I'm "so tiny." Upon the end of 1-hr massage, they told us that their sauna is not available because we did not inform them ahead of time that we were interested in the sauna , despite talking to TWO staff and even physically handing over my voucher which has written on it "couples massage with sauna option." She then talks to us and states that we would would need to make ANOTHER separate appointment JUST for the sauna. No thanks, I've already wasted enough time and gas. I think the hardest part about a massage is when it's over. I found a great deal on Groupon for a sauna and massage session and it was well worth it. The sauna and bed were in the same room so I didn't have to walk around and they even give you a complimentary robe to wear while sitting inside. I had William which was my first time having a male, but he asked if I'm in pain and adjusted to what felt most comfortable. He even spent time with me after to go over some stretches that will help the tense parts of my body that he noticed! That's new to me so it showed they really go above and beyond! read more

I went back and forth about posting a negative review but i think both the customers and the business need to know about my experience. 3 is a generous rating but the spa is very nice, I just did not have a great experience. Calling to get an appointment with a Groupon wasn't easy but I finally did get in. I had a massage, facial, and was suppose to have a sauna treatment. They could only get me in at an evening time and I felt like they didn't want to do the sauna after my appointment. I mentioned it and it was glossed over and the subject changed so I didn't even get the full treatment I paid for. Besides that I got the WORST massage I have ever had. I told him I had a back problem in my low back and it causes tightness in my entire back, I told him I wanted more times spent on my back and shoulders. He spent very little time on my back qnd most of the time on my shoulders. While that was disappointing I wouldn't have posted a negative review if the following didn't happen: the therapist said that the forearms are never massaged and it would be so great, I would see such a difference blah blah blah. I had no idea what he was going to do. he took my forearm and ran the back of his forearm down the BONE!!! the BONE. I didn't feel loose and relaxed after the pain, he didn't work on the area I asked he just glossed over it and did what he wanted, and what he wanted to do just caused me pain. My forearms only felt pain for the rest of the day and I did not see this amazing life changing transformation I was suppose to get from the extremely painful forearm massage. I received a spa package for Mother's Day and finally had the chance to use it. The sauna was great and the facial was ok - when I left my skin and hair were covered in a thick oily substance. My massage was where it the experience was lacking. If you want someone aggressively slapping oil on your body and while grunting like it's your fault she has to be at work, she might be right for you but otherwise, I would ask for anyone but her. I asked her several times to avoid a certain area because it's sensitive and what does she do? She cranks on it hard, multiple times even after being asked to not touch it. I think she just hates customers. Aside from that, she wore a fan around her neck which was so loud and distracting. I'd like to give them 5 stars based on some of the past masseuses I've had. The problem is they come and go so frequently I can never keep track of an amazing masseuse who does deep tissue/ sports massages. Yesterday was super disappointing. But, a bad masseuse shouldn't take away stars of the business in general. While I like that normally I can call in same day massages, sometimes it doesn't always work out. Their 3 stars is based on the business itself and their handling of schedules, quality of saunas and consistency of problems that seem to pop up. Scheduling ahead of time seems to leave room for errors, which happens a lot. We show up and they double booked and sent my husband home multiple times because no one was available. Or we requested deep tissue and they clearly set you up with someone who cannot do it. In the past I've shown up and had the saunas no longer connect to pandora or work so now you have to play your own phone which isn't recommended inside a sauna, or sit in silence. They used to work with the ipads that are inside. If you want a quiet relaxing massage don't go on the left side because it shares a wall with a pet store and all you hear is dogs barking. And it's next to the facial room and you literally just hear the guy employee talking the entire time. BUT. When you do find your masseuse, this place is great. Convenient. Good prices. And usually you can schedule within a week or even same day, unless your masseuse is popular like mine. Then plan on 2 weeks out for 90 minutes or more. I've had a membership for 3 years and even with these multiple inconveniences, I still go back! And for anyone looking for regular massages I still recommend them! I was greeted with a smile and then I met with my Masseuse. My room was inviting, and it had its sauna inside the space I will have to try. She worked on my target my areas as requested. My mom had a 6:30pm appointment for 30 minutes and the massage therapist didn't take her in until 6:35. And after the mini consultation, I helped my mom on the table, therefore the massage therapist probably didn't start until 6:40pm. And my mom was out by 7pm. How does that calculate to 30 minutes? I paid for a 30 minute massage that lasted a little under 20 minutes. I get it, it's a first time costumer special but I still think my mom deserved the 30 minute appointment. Also, we got there like 15 minutes early to her appointment. And then the receptionist didn't give me my full change. The deal was $49 and I was returned $10 change. It should've been $11 because I gave her $60. So I'm not sure if she doesn't know how to calculate change correctly or again they were just taking advantage of us. I was translating for my mom, she is Spanish speaking. It just didn't feel very welcoming. I won't be taking my mom there again. I really want to get her into a monthly routine but after today, I'll be taking my mom and business elsewhere. I didn't speak up because that's not my personality, I feel like people should treat others with respect and dignity despite their race or language. I did have a massage appointment. First time there. I missed calling to cancel due to covid symptoms and I was asleep and explained I completely forgot due to not feeling well. When I explained this to manager there was no compassion. All she cared about was charging me cancellation fee for $70. I am not saying I don't want to pay any fee but it's their customer service that sucks and this was the manager I was speaking to. This just portrays how money focused they are with no lack of compassion. My daughter gave me this gift for Mother's Day and it's gone to a fee. However, the front desk lady was rude and arguing with some other customer on the phone when I was trying to check-in and it was annoying. She should have put them on hold so I can check-in. Very professional gave great recommendations after the massage was over. The massage and reflexology was great, she hit all my major points. I had been seeking a new regular massage therapist, and some of my employees have me a gift card to this place. I called, and they were able to book me next day, with a variety of openings with different therapists. The receptionist that took my call picked one for me. It was nice to get such a short notice appointment. The massage itself was nice - I wouldn't choose this particular therapist again, as I prefer a more firm massage, but she was definitely capable and would be great for someone who likes a gentle, female masseuse. The location itself is nice and spa-like, despite its strip mall location. Not seedy at all. My 3 star rating, however, is mostly as a result of he "hard sell" I got after my massage while I was trying to pay. One of the owners meticulously went through all of the "membership" options for automatic billing, etc., etc. Nearly 10 minutes of this guy trying to sell me on treatment packages while I was waving my card around trying to indicate I just wanted to pay and leave. I understand that they want to sell me more massages, but it was so aggressive and and awkward, it completely ruined my relaxation from my massage. This is purely based on my own experience today. The girl at the front desk with the short brown hair is so sweet. She made me feel comfortable as I checked in for my first time. I was shown to my room where they had the bed and sauna in the same room (not all of them are set up this way) but I had the best first time experience which included a Swedish massage by Quintel. He was very good and has the best thumbs!! LOL Really made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and really worked on those points that needed it the worst. After that I went into the infared sauna, if you haven't heard about them look it up. While inside instead of steamy sweaty body its more like laying on the beach in the sun. Not too hot, just right. You have several choices of heat and cycles you can choose from as seen from my pictures. While relaxing in there, you can turn on Netflix, get on the web, or listen to your favorite music. You also have your very own water in rom so you never get dehydrated. I wish I could live in here, but I am now hooked on getting the combo once a month. You can get your choice of massage, facial and or sauna. I will report back when I do get the facial. I signed up for membership fees and its currently at 60 for a combo package once a month. I had a prenatal massage here with Joseph and it was amazing! He's very strong but I didn't mind because I wanted him to get all the knots out. The only complaint is that my massage started 10 minutes late and ended about five minutes early (so it was a 55-minute massage). Not the biggest deal but when you're seven months pregnant, you want all the massage time you can get :) I'll definitely be back to see Joseph! Perhaps I could have said something but I felt shy and felt I had given enough instruction. The pressure she applied was okay it was the lack of attention the areas I asked for verbally and on the sheet they had us fill out. I came in because I had a Groupon for a sauna and 1-hr massage. The Sauna: Infrared Therapy so it's not steam. There's different settings, I opted for the Cardiovascular. I had a good experience, but I was disappointed that the tablet wasn't connected to WiFi so I couldn't connect to Pandora. So I used my phone for music. I was told to either come out to lobby to wait for my therapist, or wait in the room. If I didn't want to do the full hour of sauna I could do wait in the lobby for my therapist. So I had 2 minutes before my massage so I opted to walk out and see if my therapist was ready for me, no not yet and was told by receptionist I should wait in the sauna room. In the sauna room there was a massage table, but my massage wouldn't be there, it would be in a separate room. I was given a robe. A little unorganized if you ask me! The Massage: I didn't know I had to put my clothes in a basket that was in the room where the sauna was, so I carried with me. The massage therapist introduced herself and got to know what I wanted for the massage. After discussing she said she'd start with my back, so lay prone and she'd be back. She returned promptly and then realized she didn't bring my "basket". I was unsure what that was about, but upon return she realized I had carried my clothes, then I realized that my clothes were supposed to be in a basket & she would of brought over for me. A little misunderstanding. The massage was great, the pressure was perfect. Four hot towels were used, which is the most I had ever experienced used in a massage, not complaining, I loved the hot towels. When I was instructed to turn over, face up, the lights weren't dimmed so that was a little bothersome. You can hear people passing by, and doors closing, so that wasn't a plus, but not extremely distracting. I checked out and tipped in the end. I was given more information about the wellness plans they offer. Overall, I do recommend, but do advise on the sauna's WiFi unless you'd prefer to sit there in silence. Only reason I knew of this is from another reviewer, she was able to use the apps offered. The facility is so clean, even the bathrooms! I saw my massage therapist clean the room right away. She cleaned the sheets and sanitized the table. All personnel were still wearing a mask when I went 7/16. I was also seen right at my appointment time. I got the 90 minute massage from Annie yesterday (7/16) and she was SO sweet. She was kind and checked in with me if the pressure was ok Before starting on a new body regions, she would assess each muscle group and then proceed to working out on all the my muscular tension. She spent almost half the time on my problem areas, which was greatly needed and appreciated! I had a very good experience here. I made an appointment because I was ordered by my doctor to get a therapeutic massage (which I have never had done before). I had a terrible muscle spasm in my back which was very painful and caused shooting pains to go from my upper back to my neck... So because of this I had to book somewhere and quick. Booking online with Massage Green was simple and easy. I was a little nervous booking one of the therapists that was available last minute but went for it since my back was in desperate need of attention. I felt the introductory price of $59.95 was super reasonable for 60 minutes. In the past I have always booked massages for relaxation and do not care for heavy pressure. However this time I knew I needed to endure some discomfort in order to work out the kinks in my muscles. I was greeted by the ladies working the front desk and they were both very cheerful and professional. They offered me some ginger (and peppermint I think?) water while I filled out the intake form for the therapist. The facility is decorated beautifully inside as well. Judith, my therapist, was wonderful. She took the time to talk to me before our session about what I needed and how I liked my massages. I explained to her the problem area on my back and that I was there to get my back fixed up. She asked very good questions I felt. Normally during massages I don't like to talk and don't like it when the therapist talks too much. I just like to let the therapist to their thing and relax. However, I GREATLY appreciated how Judith would ask me "How is the pressure? Is this tender?" often to make sure I was comfortable. She had to really dig into my back at certain points and I greatly appreciated how she explained why she was doing the techniques she was doing while she was doing it. She also had to put pressure on my head, neck, lower back, glutes and feet in order to correct my back issue which really surprised me but like I said, she easily explained why she had to work on those areas. It was nice being able to chit chat with her during the more intense portions of the massage to take my mind off of what she was doing. She really has a great personality and attitude.
