Check out Inu Island Ales for distilled spirits and a fresh take on beers. You can bring your food and sit around their hi top tables. When you're in Kaneohe, it's always an easy stop for a brew with friends. We tried their Pilsners, IPAs and hard spirits too. What a pleasant surprise to find an ale house right in a light industrial area.

Very small taproom in this nano brewery but so worth the trip! They had 11 beers on tap and we tried them all. Some really unique flavors! The bartender was super nice and told us about the brewery and the various beers on tap. It's a little hard to find in the industrial area because we didn't see any signage other than the sandwich board in front. Worth the trip!

Popped in for some local brews after a beautiful morning on the water. We were welcomed by a smiling employee who mentioned some of her favorites. We tried pours of Holy Trinity (Hazy IPA), Raspberry Whip and Prickly Pear Punch (Sours), and a robust Burnt Out Bulb (Pastry Stout). All were excellent. It was obvious to us all the Brewmaster has some serious skills. We enjoyed the ambiance of this small town garage brewery.

Really small brewery - it's easy to miss when you're driving by. They have plenty of parking but there's only about 6 small tables inside. Only 7 taps and usually one person working. The girl that's been there both times I went was really friendly and helpful. Since the selection is limited, I hope you have a wide pallet for beers. The Ube Colada seltzer was heavenly, one of the best I've had! Closest thing to a smoothie style beer I've had on island. They're more pricey than other breweries on island as well. The IPAs aren't too bad but Da Dank was far too hoppy for me. Not a bad place to stop for a drink or two.

Inu Island Ales is a small local brewery with speciality beers, seltzers, ales. The two tasters I ordered came with a higher percentage (6.5% ABV) which I like a-lot. 7 oz Tasters, 32 oz Growlers, Glass are available for purchase. Tasters come in a plastic cup, no glass. Growlers come in a nice aluminum can. No flights available, but can just get a bunch of tasters. Prices range. Service was awesome! Local girl was friendly and personable. Very casual spot to sit and enjoy your drinks. Limited seating with only about 4 tables and a few seats at the bar, not good for large groups. Easy to miss if you drive too fast. Located across the street from the car dealership. Parking available in the lot. Our favorite was Orange Soda Seltzer which was like a spiked Fanta Orange Soda! Oo if you get some vanilla icecream you can make a pretty mean spiked icecream float. Kilauea Cheesecake sour ale was also delicious! Recommend taking a growler home! Follow on IG for updates and new tap list. Hope they're able to serve in a glass in the future!

Small brewery that is known for sours but as one review said - it is lacking in atmosphere (but then again, aren't most brewery's in warehouses often in the middle of a random shopping area). They only serve 7oz. pours or crowler cans. Only had 5 beers on tap. Started with Curran-ly Blueberry and Guava Raspberry sours. In a Haze IPA was just ok.

(Drank 05/17/23 WE @ 2:00pm): I somewhat had to drive inward on this island to locate these ales! Inu Island Ales was the next brewery in my exploration of the burgeoning craft brewery industry on the Hawaiian Islands but specifically on O'ahu this time around. I loved beer to no end and made it a point to visit any breweries wherever I may be. They were a tad out of the way from my homebase, so would they leave a positive impression on me to venture to this part of the island for more ales!? OVERALL Inu Island Ales was fine, but I wouldn't make another trip unless I was in the area. With the exception of the mango cactus pants, I just wasn't grooving on the others as creative as some were, the beer selection and snacks were extremely limited, and the service was functional. I couldn't tell if this was also a family and pet-friendly (events on certain nights) place. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $60.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.5 STARS

Inu is located in the middle of a warehouse and has limited parking outside, but we got lucky and were able to snag a spot outside since we came when things weren't too busy. It's a small taproom with a bar and a few hightop tables. They mainly have sours on tap, which is good given many of the flavors are tropical, but they don't sell cans to go, only crowlers. We snagged a variety of beer and took a high top and we enjoyed our short trip here. The sours were packed with flavor and were quite tasty and it's a shame that they didn't have any cans for us to take home as we would have grabbed some. Our server was also very nice and they're doing some good things here, so hopefully they can continue to grow and expand.

I am so very lucky to live so close to Inu.... where would I be without it?! The Good: * They always have a good wide variety of beer selection... I'm more of a sour beer person, and the BF is more of IPA... they always have something for both of us * Tasters cost about $4.25 * Although there's limited seating, I never have trouble getting a seat. I don't think people "linger" for a long time --- which is definitely what I prefer anyways * Stall parking available right in front of Inu The Bad: * Limited seating * Different kind of hours of operation from most establishments, so you might want to double check what time they open The Weird: * It took me years to find out their existence... even though I live up the road. So Shame, Me!

A bit hard to find but worth it if you're into specialty local micro brews. They're located directly across Kahuhipa Street from Windward Dodge near the Tae Kwon Do school. My family members from Vegas wanted to try it and take some back home with them so here we are. They offer 7oz "Tasters" that you can drink on site and 32oz "Crowlers" that are sealed and meant to be taken out. They usually have a selection of about seven different brews at any time and because they brew in small batches, once that "flavor" is gone, it's gone (unless they decide to bring it back again). That can be a little difficult because many of their flavors use local fruits and ingredients that may not be available later. I tried the "Da Kine Keeper" which is an Imperial Stout at 14% abv. It was very smooth with heavy notes of chocolate and coffee with a slight tart finish that was really nice. I guess it's BYOF because they only have for sale a few packaged snacks to munch on while you're there. I know they participated in the recent Beer Festival at Windward Mall along with other brewers so great to see they're doing well.

One of our favorite breweries on the island! Great selection of beer to try. It's a little bit hidden because it's set back from the road in a warehouse and it's pretty small. But I think they could go bigger with how great their beer is! We'll see! They do allow you to bring in food since they don't serve any. You also get a view of some of their tanks, etc. which is pretty cool.

I purposely came back to the Kanehoe area to try out Inu. They seem like the new kid on the block that's been making a lot of waves with some good collabs with some pretty high profile mainland breweries. Inu isn't large, it's in a area with a lot of garages and even with that there's a premium for parking here, still managed to find some and walk into their tasting room that had just been reopened. I'm not sure what it looked like pre-COVID, but I'm pretty certain that there wasn't much of a change besides pushing the tables apart a little more. It's mostly production space and storage as well as a cooler. There was a large group the seemed to have put two tables together; if you go when it's busy be prepared to wait for a spot to sit. The beertender was super friendly and walked us through the whole sign in screening procedures. They had a stout and two sours and a few IPAs. I ended up trying about 6 of their beers, with the majority of them being pretty good, but I really enjoyed their sours. Unfortunately, my favorite of the two wasn't available as a crowler because something was wrong with the line, ok for pouring but packaging it was a no-go. I still walked away with their other sour which was just as legit. Worth a stop if you're into beer.

Inside - beer tender doing his thing. Solid selection and cool merch

4+ I've had a few there beers at beer shares prior to visiting the actual brewery. I've always enjoyed them and the beers usually range from good to great. They make great stouts. I don't have too much experience with their IPAs. I like their kettle sours (assuming it's much easier to produce those vs other sours in that climate) On a recent family trip to the island, my family was driving around the North Shore and we passed this place on the way back. I asked my brother to stop here because I'm a big fan of beer in general and because I knew of this place from beer shares in LA. Also saw that Kramer came here a few months ago and I've been a fan of his work when he was over at Three Chiefs. It was always cool running into him at beer events too. Unfortunately he wasn't at the brewery when I visited. We didn't stay at the bar. We just picked up a few crowlers to bring back to our hotel. The bar is smaller than I thought which isn't a bad thing and it's typical from what I've noticed at pretty much every craft brewery I've been to in the United States. The folks there seem friendly - both the bartenders and the fellow patrons and the place seemed to have a jovial atmosphere overall. The beer I got from there was a kettle sour and I thought it was tasty. It was fun sneaking it out onto Waikiki beach and drinking it there. The tropical flavors made it feel appropriate as well. Will definitely hit this place up again when I'm back on the island. I'm hoping to maybe hang out and have a drink while at the bar next time. I'll probably be seeing their beer pop-up at various shares with my buddies in here in LA.

View from sitting area inside, can't drink outside.

To my surprise, she smiled and welcomed us in. And there it was -- the perfect bar. Open, timeless, alive with character. Across from us sat an elegant woman in traditional Hawaiian attire, facing the ocean, staring through the front windows like she had done it a hundred Sundays before. She had it right - positioned on the best side of the bar. You don't turn your back to the view of the ocean, so we sat next to her. The room hummed with warmth and familiarity. It didn't feel transactional. It felt communal. "Seat da people, spock da chicks, Buzzy always got his pick." Then came the bartender -- commanding the room with charisma, warmth, and effortless aloha. Her energy moved through the restaurant like a tide. Every server who approached her bar carried away drinks and a little piece of her spirit. You could feel it. The laughter became contagious. The hospitality felt genuine. I wasn't drinking that day, but she kept the non-alcoholic daiquiris flowing with the same care and enthusiasm as every cocktail she served. Somewhere between the ocean breeze, the company, and the aloha spirit, I started questioning whether my drink secretly had alcohol in it. Maybe that's just what happens when people make you feel welcome. And then there was the food. The Teriyaki Steak was exceptional -- tender enough to cut like butter, rich with flavor, perfectly balanced alongside rice and vegetables. My cousin ordered the Fish Burrito and couldn't stop talking about it. By the end of the meal he declared it the best thing he'd eaten on the island. "Steak & lobster, salad bar, with a place like this he could go far." As we walked out and continued our adventure through Oahu, Buzz's kept circling back into the conversation. The people. The food. The laughter. The feeling. A little part of me wants to protect this place like a local secret. But that wouldn't be in the spirit of aloha. So much love and respect to everyone at Buzz's. Mahalo.

Wow Wow Wow. What a fantastic day! Kelandy was a great fun host for this island adventure. We…read morestarted off at Giovanni Pastrami in Waikiki. I have had drinks here before but never food. An appetizer comes with the tour and all the selections were awesome. Definitely big portions and great options like the Giovanni's Pastrami French Fries. So flavorful! Get some food in your belly because the fun is just starting. The stop at GP's includes 2 drinks as well. I choose a go-to IPA I love from Aloha Beer Company. Next on the tour you head over to Kailua to check out Oahu's only winery. Can you say wine slushies! And Ko'olau Distillery. Both spots gave a tour and talk on how they make their alcohol and local ingredients that go into them. Along with samples. Yummy! But wait that's not all! As you head back to Waikiki you hit up two great local breweries. Inu Island Ales in Kane'ohe and Waikiki Brewing in Kaka'ako. We got to try a variety of beers and pick our favorite to have a larger glass of. The tour continues as you head back to Giovanni Pastrami for a few more drinks and just in time for Happy Hour! The whole day was excellent and Kelandy did a great job of keeping us on track as we went from place to place. We were the largest group so far and he was professional and fun all day! I may have Party Every Weekend stuck in my head! Can't wait to take visitors on this tour! Cheers.

The winery and distillery tour were for me the best part as I ot to learn about the unique way they are making wine in Hawaii and I knew nothing about the whiskey distilling process so that was great to learn. Highly recommend for a great day out with friends!
