This review is mostly for vibes since I came and had one vodka soda, which was a pretty standard vodka soda. This was our second stop of the night, the first bar was PACKED. I really appreciated having some breathing room. Especially on their top floor loft area, they had seating too so me and my friends were able to sit down and chat a bit over our drinks. The biggest downfall is that the lock on the women's bathroom doesn't work. I opened the door on someone and then made sure to lock the door when I went it to not repeat the same situation- but it happened to me anyways. I'm giving them 4 stars mostly because there's a lot that I haven't experienced from food, to even parking since we walked. I will say, from the first bar in Kailua that we started off at- the vibes, service, and people were more my speed. I think it's really cool that Kailua has a neighborhood pub that's so walkable! read more

I've seen this spot from the outside countless times and have always been interested about the interior since it looks like a proper Irish pub. As part of the recent Great Crawl, we finally had an excuse to go and were surprised with the care that went into the food even while it was jammed. Most of the bartenders and servers were super friendly and efficient, only one gave attitude but I guess that's to be expected with all that was going on. They have a great selection of draft beer, plus all the normal bar liquor options, ciders, sodas, etc. Their food was fantastic - we ordered the corned beef and cabbage for the holiday and were surprised by the huge plates with big cuts of meat all for a low price. Beers were served randomly in glass and plastic, probably due to availability with dish washing. We sat at the fun little double tables up higher along the wall, which gave us a great view of the drunk and jovial crowd. I took a peek at the main room on the way out, really cool old window and tables. Our visit made me want to visit again on a normal night. I look forward to trying more of their food as well. read more

Ordered the calamari to start and the cheeseburger to finish. Took a bot to get back to me. Its a little busy, but they both came out at the same time??. Ugh, lol. She said she was sorry but it's not her fault. Anyway, they both tasted pretty good. I forgot to add bacon to my burger!!. It was cooked just right, though, medium rare!! Overall, not bad at all. Great little pub in the heart of Kailua town! Cons: I am going to be 100% honest, sometimes it smells so bad I can't be in there; I also don't know if they clean there tap lines often since their beer is not the greatest tasting; I found they are inconsistent with their food - sometimes you order the same thing as the week before and it is completely different. This is especially disappointing when you order the ahi nachos and it's enough for 3 people and the next time you come the nachos arent even enough for 1 person and have 4 pieces of tiny tuna on it. Along with their sliders appetizer. Once I ordered this to-go and got home and it was two sliders and no side dish. I did not have time to go back and ask for my third slider and my side of fries, but for $14 I was annoyed. The bartenders cater to the regulars and don't remember people who aren't in there on a daily basis. Pros: This place is always open, its big enough that you will most likely always have a place to sit. Their food is really good...it comes out of the same kitchen as Gas Lamp, so it's gotta be good! I love their french onion soup, ahi nachos, sliders, and the reuben sandwich. They also have trivia once a week! After a full day of golf and not eating we were excited to find this place somewhat close. Our drinks were tasty and nice as a starter. At the servers recommendation we got the amazing Shepards Pie which my husband enjoyed immensely, the plentiful and very fresh tasty fish and chips and my son got the hamburger. Oddly our raw Oysters came out last and fair warning were whole oysters (not on the 1/2 shell) and somewhat briny but definitely an interesting new experience. As of this date, 1/1/24, this place is my new Best Burger on Oahu. To begin with, the 10 ounces of beef is absolutely delicious and so good it was a bit surreal. The cheese was perfectly melted, while the lettuce, onion and tomato was ice chilled. My tastebuds were in food heaven. Go and eat this amazing burger. First timer. It's a split between a restaurant and separate small bar area with a couple of dart boards upstairs in a cramped space. We tried the nachos and pizza. Both were quite good for bar food. Service was excellent. The all female bartenders also operated as waitresses, which was a surprise. Very efficient and drinks were up to par. We tried their Strawberry and Mango Blended Margaritas, Kamikaze's and AMF. Loved the margaritas, the Kamikaze is what it is, but wasn't crazy about the taste of the AMF. Prefer Long Island Ice Tea for that category of drinks. Had a nice mixed crowd of local patrons. It was packed "like your favorite hangout ". Music was a nice blend enjoyable to all. This place has been around for awhile and signs of it are obvious, but it is kept clean and maintained. We went there for lunch and had some good dishes. I was surprised at the quality of the oysters we ordered for appetizers and it was a chance considering this wasn't a seafood place. We also got the guacamole, but it wasn't anything special. For our entrees, we got the fish & chips, hamburger, and French dip. All were very large portions. The quality of the burger was excellent and the size of the French dip was almost to big. The fish and chips were to be expected, but good all the same. Service is friendly, but a bit slow. Surprising since we were the only ones in at that time, but maybe the kitchen wasn't ready. I've been coming here for years and this is this first time I've been graced by having Kiki as our bartender. Not only did she note our names, she was attentive and we were never left looking around in need of a thing. Hands down the best bartender on island. She was training and was still doing the dishes, chatting and taking orders, and closing out tabs while being shadowed. Cannot express how impressed I was and I will come back to being a regular customer after a few year hiatus. And as always these are the best French fries on island. Bartenders were busy but thankfully the bouncer assisted and brought us our food and refilled our waters and coke. We got the chips and fresh guac (nice and fresh with red onions and lime), chips were plain and not made in house so it was a bit pricey ($12). I got the cyo pizza with pineapple and garlic. Good thin crust, price is decent, about a 12" pie, $11.95 +.75 per topping. I was craving a French Dip and took a chance here. I called for it to go and asked for the fries to have garlic added. They had no problem subbing in for regular fries even though it isn't on their menu. I went in and the food was ready right on time and it was all still hot. Paid quickly with the intention on eating at home, but wanted a bite in the car while it was hot. 5 minutes later and all I had left was memories. It was delectable. Salty and umami, the au jus was jam packed with flavor and went great with the fries. Plenty of extra juice to completely soak the sandwich with extra to dip the fries. Overall, this is the best French Dip I have had on island and I will be back again soon. This time to dine in and have a few beers to go with it. read more

We came here for lunch on a Sunday, and overall rating was alright. When we entered, we were told to seat ourselves (party of 2), so we found an empty table. Soon after, a waitress (who was also working as a bartender I assume) gave us water and noted that she was going to check with the chef to see if they were out of anything. To be honest, she was gone for quite some time. It wasn't until 20 min later that she came back and asked what we wanted to order. We ordered the poke nachos, pub chicken sandwich, and the French onion dip. From the time we ordered, I calculated 30 min of waiting for our food. The nachos were okay... and by okay, I mean there had to be only 2 ounces of poke sprinkled on the wonton chips doused in spicy mayo and I believe hoisin sauce (the hoisin sauce could be mistaken for something else); not really worth the 30 min of waiting. Our sandwiches did taste well. The French onion dip had a ton of meat and the chicken pub had a good smokey flavor to it. Though, definitely not worth waiting quite some time for. Throughout the entire meal, we were never checked on and our waters were never filled back up. The waitress came to fill it once we were done with the food (we even stacked our dishes to show they we were done). We were slightly annoyed at the lack of customer service especially because it seemed that the regulars were being catered to more than we were... on top of that, I counted multiple times the waitresses were seen off to the side on their phones. Needless to say, we were not very impressed. Overall, food was alright. The venue seems like a nice place to just hang out with some old friends, drink some beer, and watch some football.
