    Miss Piggy's revenge pizza
    Amanda P.

We were walking around downtown on a Friday night when we stumbled upon Olohana Brewpub on King St. From the entrance, the bar is clean and inviting. We were greeted right away and got seated in the back. Our server, Jacey, recommended the pizza so we got the Miss Piggy's Revenge and a side of beer cheese nachos. The food took some time to prepare, but the beer came out right away. I tried the Chaser Hazy IPA and it was light and flavorful. When the pizza came out, it was piping hot. The pizza is thin and full of ingredients. The Kalua pork, caramelized onions and cilantro were a perfect medley. The pizza was a little spicy, but not overpowering. Next, came the beer cheese nachos. The chips were so crispy with a generous portion of pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole on top. Everything tasted so fresh. Jacey was an awesome server and checked on our table throughout the night. I enjoyed my meal and hope to try another pizza at Olohana!

Opened fall 2025. Playing all the CFB games, would be back to watch if we're ever back in the area. Great bartender, super kind an helpful with beer suggestions. The brewery is nice and clean, well lit with basket wicker lamps and bamboo slat ceilings. Awesome beer, I got the Ha Wai Nei lager, super easy drinking, crisp lager, I swear I could drink 5 of these easssyy. Will be back to try their pizzas next time! One of the best breweries in town

Olohana Brewpub is a new concept bar & restaurant with working brewery in Chinatown. This started as the brewery attached to the homebrew store in its namesake neighborhood of Kalihi, hence Kalihi Beer. They lost their original location but thankfully for all, they took over the new facility that was a labor of love of a brewery of the past. Chinatown is a cool area of the city, and any business trying to revitalize it is worthy of support. Located on King Street, its east to get to by bus or ride share from Waikiki and Kaka'ako. Chinatown also has plentiful cheap parking garages, with a few nearby. Their on site brewery is producing their original recipes for draft only. They also have guest taps, a full bar of liquor, and canned selections. The food menu is plentiful and new, with many items being developed for a casual sports crowd, all the way to a fancy night out. Check their menus for updates. The staff here is fantastic, with many experienced bartenders and servers. Check their social media for event nights and live music. They also have lots of TVs for any games you may want to watch. I'm thankful to have a brewery in Chinatown!

Welcome to Chinatown Olohana / Kalihi beer. I was really disappointed when Darren and Stewbum & Stonewall closed and left Chinatown and I was hoping Darrem could pass the baton to new brewery and dreams do come true. Chris and Kalihi beer are not new to the Honolulu brewery scene but its great to have them on King Street in Chinatown. Darren put his heart and soul into building this brewery and it pained me to see it closed for so long but man its perfect for Chris to now have the reins and bring it back to life. Would love to see a Stewbum / Kalihi beer collaboration in the future. If you have not been here, you are missing out and need to check this place out. The brewery is beautiful, beer is really good and the service is outstanding. JC is positive soul and so helpful and motivated to provide the best service possible. Did I say the beer was good? They have more than just beer if you want mixed drinks they can make pretty much anything. They aim to please so check out Olohana and support this local business. Everybody's Devil (triple IPA 8.8% abv 12oz) will bring the devil out of you, but you will have a good time. Really tasty but after a couple you will be feeling pretty good. The Rappa Red is also pretty good (Red IPA 6.5% abv 16 oz). The also have beers from Howzit Brewing, Hana Koa Brewing, Big Island Brewhaus, Maui Brewing Co. They also have various snacks and pizza. We ordered the Pepperoni and it was pretty good quality pizza and it was perfect for two people. They have Charcuterie board, Hummus, Pretzels and all kinds of other stuff. The is the perfect place to come meet some other beer lovers and chill and watch the game. Lots of seating, plenty of TV's and just a chill place to come hang out and support a local establishment, just trying to make good beer and contribute to the community. I will be a regular and hoping this business helps bring new life to Chinatown.

It's been a while since Kalihi Brewery closed - I do not know the reason, but it has been reincarnated in downtown, at the edge of Chinatown. The equipment and brews from Kalihi Brewery was re-located and produces great beer in addition to serving other brews. In addition to the great brews, Oloha's kitchen serves great food. Awesome beer + food is an awesome combination. To further improve the combination, there are televisions showing sports - the best part? They are open when games are playing. Parking may be a bit challenging - there are street parking and lots around. I'll be back and commemorate my visit, I purchased an "old school" Kalihi Brewery t-shirt.

Frustrating to review and establishment that has no posted hours of operation. I live near by and walked the half mile to try this new place but at just after 6p on a Tuesday the doors were locked and the shades pulled down. I searched the exterior and Yelp but there are no posted hours of operation. Disappointing as I was looking forward to sampling their beer and pizza. Return next day just befor 5p. Ordered the house brew Everybody's Devil. A nice triple but a litle weak in flavor. Also got the Saucy Sausage pizza. Small 12" pizza at $27. Under cooked and limp crust, topped with a very sweet sauce. Tastey but heavy on the sweetness.one bothered to check on how my pizza was. I also got the Golden Sabbath beer. At $9 at nearly double the size of the house brews it is worth it. After I almost done with the pizza, the manger asked how the meal was. I explained that it was undercooked and sweet. He offered to comp the meal but seeing that I finished the pizza I couldn't accept. We settled on 50% off. I appreciate the offer and the acceptance of the feedback.

Awesome new space for Kalihi Beer! Great beer. Food. And service! Right in the heart of Chinatown which has been missing a brewery the last few years. Stop by for Sunday brunch as well for football season.

Great service, super welcoming and hospitable atmosphere. Also a nice change of pace in China town. Plenty of TVs to watch sports and the location is prime for people watching. Drink selection is good and not much of a food menu but has some snacks and pizzas if you get the munchies. If you can find a parking pay lot, it's right there, but sometimes it's a challenge finding parking during certain hours. Pizza and beer break was nice, so might do some day drinking here later

So glad I got to finally come in! I've been a fan of Kalihi beer for a while and was stoked to see that they took over the old stewbum location in China town. They have fresh beer on tap that they brew on site. I had a pop top kolsch. It always hits the spot! The staff were very friendly and welcoming with prompt service. It's the kind of spot where the bartender will chat with you and talk story. JT and Maddy were awesome! Great spot to chill. Happy to have a new spot to wait out traffic! A great getaway and good vibes all around.

Super chill spot in Chinatown! (Street parking only) My husband and I popped in after some shopping down the street. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pizza and beer hit the spot! They had just opened for the day when we got there. So it wasn't busy. Plenty of seating and tv's to watch. We will definitely be back. Mahalo

Unfortunately, something has changed recently and you can see it throughout recent reviews here, which tells me this is a taught practice by management and not just one shady server. Mainly, being up charged or sold "extras" without disclosing they're actually add ons. Our table of 4 had 3 different sandwiches, 2 burgers and a chicken sandwich. While ordering the server offered each of us, "would you like fries, onion rings, or salad with that?" There was no disclosure of it being additional, and she never used the words add ons or extras. When the bill was received, all 3 that received the sandwiches and "sides" were shocked to see upcharges (example $5.00 extra for 1/4 cup of greens and 2 slices of cucumber) when we were being offered these with our orders. When I asked the server about the charge, I asked why it wasn't disclosed it was extra, and that we only answered her question of which side we wanted because she offered as if it was included, her responses were baffling. The first was "There's nowhere on island that serves fries with a sandwich", to which I said, "but you didn't say it was extra, you offered them as if they were included", she said "it's written on the menu". To note: fries, onion rings, and side salads are listed on the menu, in their own section, separate from the sandwich sections. So while it is written, they know exactly what they're doing when they offer you sides or sauces, and you can see other recent reviews here making the same complaint. This left an extra bad taste for our table as we had come in to help support them after the recent tropical storm left them without power. We were excited to participate in a local event they were hosting and help support them after losing stock and days being closed from the storm, just to have this shady process of being upsold things we didn't order (on a $350+ bill that also included shirts from their merch store). Scuzzy way of thanking your community for coming in and patronizing your restaurant. Really disappointed after years of Hana Koa being my favorite place.

The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good. The slaw, to me, was too crunchy and could have marinated longer to soften up. Again, this dish lacked salt. The Pina Coladas, were very tasty and refreshing, but were too sweet so it was hard to get a second one and come close to finishing. I had my partner help me drink it because it was too much. My partner and I had just finished a long hike and were excited to relax, enjoy a good meal, and watch the World Cup game. When we arrived, we approached the host stand to put our name on the waitlist. Instead of being greeted with a smile or any sense of hospitality, the host, Sarah, came across as very snarky, dismissive, and unwelcoming. She informed us there would be approximately a 45-minute wait, which we completely understood and were happy to accept. While waiting, we stood near the bar area so we could watch the World Cup match. Despite standing there for around 25 minutes, not a single bartender or employee acknowledged us, offered a menu, or even greeted us. Eventually, after about 30 minutes of waiting, a table in the bar area became available. Since it was empty, we sat down, assuming it was open. Within moments, the host approached us with the same rude attitude and told us that table was being held for another party. We politely asked to speak with a manager. Rather than responding professionally, she visibly rolled her eyes before going to get one, which only reinforced how unwelcome we felt. When the manager arrived, the interaction was equally disappointing. He never asked us what had happened or tried to understand our perspective. Instead, he immediately apologized and reiterated that the table was reserved for another waiting party. We didn't want to cause a scene, so we simply moved to another available bar table. What made the situation especially frustrating was that the original table they insisted was reserved remained empty the entire time afterward. No one was ever seated there while we watched. It left us questioning why such a rigid stance was taken over a seating arrangement that appeared easily manageable. The issue was never about having to move tables. We understand restaurants get busy and that hosts have to manage seating. The problem was the complete lack of hospitality, communication, and customer service. From the host's attitude and eye-rolling to the manager's unwillingness to listen before making a decision, we felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As first-time customers, first impressions matter. We arrived excited to enjoy our evening, but instead left feeling ignored, dismissed, and genuinely unwelcome. A little kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to communicate could have completely changed this experience. Unfortunately, that's not what we received.
