Vaughn, to me, will always be one of the kindest, most decent men I've ever known. He took care of my mother and her cars for over 20 years. I remember calling from California to check on her, and every single time, she was getting solid advice, fair pricing, and real care when it came to her car. That kind of consistency is rare. I will never forget how well he and his team treated her. Fast forward to today. Vaughn passed away a few years ago, and his loss was deeply felt in this community. With him, it feels like the heart of that shop went too. The business is now run by Jimmy and his daughter. And the difference is noticeable. Where there used to be a steady flow of customers and cars waiting to be serviced, now the lot is often empty. Within 90 minutes, the customer service representative, April, called to inform us that the engine was dead. She also mentioned that the manufacturer had recently added an extended warranty for engine failures. Unknown to us, our engine was still covered under this warranty, and the manufacturer would replace it at no cost. We appreciate the thorough and complimentary service provided by Swander's and April. It's refreshing to find such outstanding service and goodwill in the automotive maintenance industry.
