I used to know these people when I was a younger person in his early twenties, or rather I used to know the daughter and son of the owners of the location. They used to be students of JK Wong Kung Fu Academy, a school that I had to leave due to finding out alot of bad things and one of those bad things is how these two people were used to feed information to someone who went out of their way to hurt and betray me and others and it was a long time ago when it happened. The memories are still fresh even after four to five years of leaving the school and not being in contact with anyone, and it is all thanks to someone else. Every once in awhile, I get traumatic episodes of the pain and suffering I had to go through - it used to be daily but now it is bi-weekly. The only reason why this review exists is to get stuff of my chest, being honest with my feelings, and try to move on. It's nothing against them personally though. I was silent on the matter because what they did towards me was such a low-leveled and low-scaled thing. They pretended to be my friend on that someone's order, attempted to give me a low-paying job on their suggestion with no proper instructions and guidance, and talked with me not as a friend but as an asset to someone else. They used to cook and bake donuts for the school, regardless if they're fresh and/or leftovers. Their donuts are undeniably one of the best because of the hard work the owners of the location put their heart into. I'm sure the two of them made the donuts very well when they helped out the owners. Their creamed jelly donuts are the absolute best of the best, you've gotta try them out whenever you are in the area. It was very challenging to get donuts on this Thursday morning. The 1st place I went to didn't have any donuts left, just croissant sandwiches. I ended up driving to Inwood donuts and first off they only take cash and I never carry cash. I was directed next door to the nearest ATM at a gas station. $20 bucks later and a $6 ATM surcharge, I'm back in the donut shop surfing for what I want through the glass display with eyes wide open. I bought a raised glaze, a cake, a blueberry cake, and a twist. I ate the glazed first. It was fine, but I wasn't moved. The flavor and texture of the dough just wasn't my preference. The cake donuts faired a little better if I had to pick. This donut shop was okay but far from donut greatness. read more

My ham and cheese I received was very undercooked and wet. I even went over to the other ones to show the difference. Half of them were brown and cooked properly, but mine was white/yellow like uncooked dough from a factory. The manager lady said to me, "No, you are stupid, there is cheese in there." What a rude and flabbergasting thing to say. Of course theres is cheese in there. Says a lot about what kind of people are making the food. I will not be going back and prefer B's Donuts or Glazed Kolache. The only value here is their real estate. read more

Was in the area and thought I would treat myself and so glad I did. I arrived late in the day but still had some amazing choices. Picked up a cake donut with pink glaze .. YUM and picked up a blueberry turnover and it was amazing! The filling was delightful and not overly sweet and the glaze was perfection. Their Ham and Cheese Roll rocks and their Pigs in a Blanket (often incorrectly called kolaches) are pretty dang good. I would put their donut holes as average. Service is always friendly and fast. My real rating would be a 3.5, because there are much better donut shops around town, but this one is still good, so I will round up to a 4 for them! read more

Convenient location if you're doing business near Forest and Inwood, but you better bring cash because they don't take debit or credit. Unfortunate because I'm sure they lose business especially for businesses that use corporate cards or folks that don't carry much cash. It's your standard donut shop. No Fruity Pebbles or dulce de leche donuts. Friendly service. I did notice that they keep their kolaches in a seperate container on the counter, instead of just throwing them on a tray beneath the donuts. They also had jalapeno kolaches. Great donuts but they don't carry regular chocolate donut holes. They have chocolate cake donut holes only during the weekend. And during the week they have NO chocolate cake donut holes. Soooooo, I have to drive to a further donut shop to get the basics. Also the chocolate is sometimes melting and messy vs the nice frosted kind on their donuts. read more
