Mike, Demetri, and Maria were very responsive and friendly. I worked with Simon in the shop as well, and he dedicated one-on-one time with me to carefully select a slab and to mark it. Rude Terrible and UNPROFESSIONAL... Customer service reps are a joke. Who hired them? They literally sway the customer AWAY from the business. The girl I spoke to stated they were too "BUSY" to do a project. She Didn't even ask what the project was, how long I needed it to be done or anything. NO DETAILS were given yet they kept me on the phone forever & then put me on hold pretending to be busy... she was busy ordering her COFFEE in the background & returned to the phone to tell me that right now was not a good time to discuss this project LOL She clearly did not have her breakfast yet & needed a break. Definitely do not recommend this business. Bad installation with cracked and chipped marble, rude in person and on the phone, unprofessional work and bad attitude all around. Charged me more than was I was quoted, and good luck trying to deal with unprofessional and rude customer service, greedy and bad attitude illiterate owners. Marble quality very poor. There are not enough wonderful things I can say about my kitchen and fireplace. From my first time visiting Ionion's office I was met with professionalism and assured that I would be provided everything I was in search of. Turned out this was true; from measurements to fabrication and installation everything was seamless. Selecting and ordering material happened instantly. Fabrication turn around was quick and (5) installers fit our kitchen and fireplace like a glove. All who have visited our home have complimented the stonework! Would NEVER recommend... they spent an hour here with our architect and myself present. My beautiful marble shows up cut and ready to install..except it doesn't fit.. okay, fine stuff happens. They agree to recut and return with new piece. Second round.. shows up the depth is cut a bit too short .. again.. not a huge deal once backsplash is installed... after they leave and looking up close there are chips on the corner ... emailed with photo and never heard a word back.. nice work. read more

When my interior designer brought me to Ionion to pick out stone for my countertops, I immediately turned to Yelp and was concerned about the negative reviews. However, I decided to trust her and figured that she would help resolve any issues so I didn't need to worry too much. I could not have been more wrong. I wish I had listened to the reviews and stayed away from this company! When my marble vanity was installed, I immediately noticed a distinct etching in the shape of a soap bottle that would not rub out. I had not even moved into the apartment yet, so it clearly wasn't my doing. They agreed to come back to buff it out, however it returned after a couple of weeks and I figured I just had to live with it. When I had the stone polished by another company a year later, they successfully got rid of it, and it never came back. So whatever Ionion did to fix it must have been in haste and was not effective. More importantly, they fabricated a marble shower bench for me, which after two years, BROKE APART. It is lucky no one was injured. I asked them to send someone to look at it, and when he came the first thing he said was, "How long have you had it?" When I said two years, he said he was surprised it lasted that long. He explained that there was no way this bench would last the way it was designed, because the marble is too heavy and put too much pressure on the sides. He said it should have been built with some kind of supports under the corners. He added that the fact that it was exposed to heat and humidity probably exacerbated the problem. I was shocked to hear this, since they built it. I asked, "If this is so obvious to you, why didn't you guys build it properly to begin with?" He had no answer to that. I also pointed out it was described on the work order as "a shower bench", so they knew it would be in a hot/humid environment (a shower), unless they know of any marble shower benches that sit in the living room. He had no answer to that either. The company would only offer to fix it at my own cost, which I found unsatisfactory. The bench did not fail due to wear and tear. It was not constructed properly to begin with, and I felt they were responsible for that and should have offered another solution. Unfortunately, although I called and emailed many times, the manager, Mike, never once even bothered to return my call. So, take it from my experience - the quality of their work is poor, and the customer service is even worse. Completely unprofessional. Stay away, there are better suppliers/fabricators out there. read more
