The best lunch we had in Barcelona! Really adorable neighborhood restaurant with an 8 euro lunch menu that included a drink (wine, beer, soda)+soup of the day+an entree or 2 tapas+coffee. The red wine I had was quite nice (love that wine is as cheap as soda in Barcelona!) and the soup of the day was pea soup with mustard. A bit bland but went well with the bread we were brought. I picked mussels in a white wine sauce and a duck summer roll with spinach and spring onions as my two tapas. Both were delicious! The mussels were a tad salty but very fresh and the duck summer roll was stuffed with tender shreds of duck. The bf had the vegetarian lasagna and said it was really good. An espresso & americano at the end although I had a bit of drink envy when I saw someone else get a cappuccino. Service was all by one very friendly guy who spoke a decent amount of English. Really laid-back atmosphere and pleasant to sit outside on a warm fall day :) I only wish we'd discovered it earlier! read more

I had reeeaallly good food here. i mean, the sundried tomato paste with anchovies was amazing. And the papas with alioli were the best i had in Barcelona. Honestly, i was expecting more from the potatoes in Barcelona but i didnt have any that were that great, only here. The salmon and fig i wasnt too crazy about but i could see why others would like it, thats just my taste. However, the service was horrible :/ For one person dining a few tapas (which should have only taken a total of 30 minutes) i was there for over an hour...always waiting for something (menu, placing my order, the check, and change). This was great and inexpensive! Not super crowded on a Monday night- we had the whole inside dining room to ourselves. The decor was pretty cool and the food was great. We got some $17 bottle of red, the feta and olives appetizer, the salmon tapa, the roast beef tapa, and the spinach salad. We ate here three times during our trip. Each time the food was amazing. For lunch they have a Small menu that changes each day (not sure if specific days has certain items.) Three items to choose from that includes soup drink (soda, water, wine or beer) and main course for €7,00. Amazing price and flavor. Dinner was equally as food, except this menu seemed to be consistent. Tiny place, wonderful food and staff and the artwork on the walls was fun as well. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

Perfect spot for lunch; three-option special menu changes daily and includes soup, drink, and entree for cheap. Food is fresh, tasty, and interesting. They seem to always have alternative options too (vegetarian, gluten free, raw). My party of three got one of each, then shared them all. We came back the next day too. The host speaks English if you're a jerk and don't speak Spanish. He might be a jerk right back at you though. I'll definitely be back. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a tasty lunch here one afternoon after visiting the contemporary art museum. The spot is cozy, the interior kind of awesomely funky, the menu small and on a white board. Whoever wrote it on that particular day didn't have particularly good handwriting, and combined with my bad Spanish we had a hard time figuring out what was being served. I recognized the words for garbanzo beans and feta cheese, so I went with that dish. My husband got a ham and melon salad. Our meals both began with some tasty gazpacho. Both our entrees were fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. Definitely light and healthy compared to most of the food we'd been eating during the trip. Some of the best food. Ever. For the money, I can't think of what would beat it. Had the opportunity to eat here twice; incredible quality and comfortable, chill service were very consistent. The menu is a little strange as it seems pretty "global" for a tapas place, but nothing either of us ordered either night was out of place. 6-7 dishes + a bottle of wine is less than 60 €, for sure. We missed the food because we got here at 1.15am. The place is open from 1pm to 1am and kitchen closes at 12am. So just writing so that no one else misses the place because of the incorrect times. Place is cute and the bartender gave us free drinks because we missed the kitchen and walked a long way to check out the place. Update after we ate: food was okay. WOW i absolutly love this place. Went for dinner late (1045pm) . This restaurant has 4 staff members- a cook, bartender, and 2 servers. The menu changes every night and is all fresh seasonal local ingredients. our server was very cool, he was taking shots with us by the end of the night. We ordered 2 tapas- raosted potatoes and an anchovie, sundried tomatoe spread... wow were they good. WHYYYYY can their be places like this in New Jersey. For dinner we I ordered salmon with avacado and grapfruit. the salmon was actually cured, instead of cooked and was delicious. my girl ordered chicken teriaki (what an american) with rice and was really good too. All looked as good as they tasted. Also got a bottle of rose wine and 2 espresso's. AND THE BILL WAS ONLY $49!!! for 2 tapas, 2 dinners, a BOTTLE of wine, and 2 coffees. CANT BEAT IT. I almost felt bad not paying more for this food. my favorite was the anchovie spread, and would suggest it, but their menu is different every night, so dont go their expecting what I ordered. PEOPLE.. dont mess this place up with bad reviews and making this place a tourist haven. its perfect the way it is. lots of locals, each one came in the restaurant and kissed every staff member. hah. I was lucky enough to enjoy dinner here in New Year's Eve. The food was amazing, by far the best food we had in Barcelona. Everything was so fresh, and flavourful. I had a delicious dish with green pesto and beans, and some amazing sun dried tomatoes. The main was a spinach and ricotta cannelloni. The food was great and the service was lovely. Hats off to the staff here. We decided to stop here after a long first day of flying and Barcelona site seeing. We didn't realize until the next day that we had forgotten our camera bag, with 2 different cameras inside. We were certain we wouldn't be getting it back and to our surprise the staff had it safely stored In the back and refused to take any money as a friendly thanks. This was definitely the best first impression we could've gotten as our first real experience with the locals of Barcelona! My wife and i finally made it here after two previous attempts where it was closed. Quaint little place with nice ambiance. With the great reviews we were expecting a lot. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The potatoes were good... Steamed, simple and clean with a tasty rosemary sauce (menu said sage), but good nonetheless. I ordered an octopus tapa. It was nicely prepared, but the sauce was awkward. It was a creamy, cheesy concoction with some red oil that tasted fine, but didn't really go with octopus. For mains, my wife ordered a white bean, eggplant, and mozzarella plate which looked beautiful, but was served cold. That was weird. I ordered a lamb kabob. I was served a lamb wrap. Again, tasted fine, but it was not a 13 euro burrito. We were given bread which was nice even though we didn't ask for it, but there was a charge for it on the bill. Interestingly enough, we've been super happy about all the other places in Barcelona we've eaten. This is the only place that asked us if we wanted to add a tip to our bill which was uncomfortable - tipping for us is usually relatively anonymous. read more

The good: like everyone said its good and cheap, especially given the generous portions. The cook is a nice chap. 5 star for the food. The bad/ugly: one of the waitress (she claim she was the boss/owner) has a problem with kids or black people or both. Very rude, to the point we had to tell her. Waited 10 min to confirm our seating in almost empty place. 20 min to order, people arriving after us were already served. Order time was epic: simply forgot to ask 2 out of 5 adults what they wanted... Those were the two non-white people. Amazing. Made 0 effort to understand our orders, speaking as fast as possible. Between the 5 of us we had native speakiers in English, French, German, Portuguese and had notions of Spanish....Hard to believe this is not enough to order beer in a touristic place like Barcelona. Plates almost thrown at us. Bill absolutely inconsistent with our orders....when we raised issues to the waitress she told us she was the boss and we were nothing. Nice spirit! CONCLUSION: go there, it's a great place....just avoid it if racism is an issue for you and/or if u have kids. read more

We had a wonderful early dinner (7:30pm) at Iposa and ordered a wide variety of tapas. The waiter was simply awesome and gave us a lot of tips on what to order from the menu. We enjoyed the duckrolls, the salmon dices, the beef tartar and the hummus most of all. Without exception, the best tapas we've ever had. And the price was very low.
