Good close place to get that hot pot fix. Relatively inexpensive and nice place to catch the game.

First off this was my first time to a hot pot next time I will do much better.they did not give us alot of information on how it works but we managed to somewhat figure it out towards the end of our meal. Our server was nice but not annoying. The restaurant was clean and had people tending the buffet to keep it tidy it is bright with plenty of room at your table also a bar with no time limit so take your time this was a plus for me. Also lots of food options.a couple of takeaways were the grill turned off on its own I had to figure out how to turn it back on (it was really easy) my first plate was really bland because I didn't realize you needed to season it yourself but aver all it was fun and a different experience I will definitely recommend trying it. Bathrooms could have had some attention.I would also add they had a sushi bar and some items on the buffet pre cooked for young kids

Some sushi that I got from their counter ( not 100% fresh but still good)

We went to IPOT to try it out before the end of the year. 15% off ( only in Dec 2024) automatically applied when you paid upfront. Restaurant is very clean and new. Staff keep checking on us and fill water regularly. We didn't eat BBQ as we were already too full with hot pot. Food are pretty decent, all kind of meats, seafood, veggie. Have ice cream, some sweet cakes & dessert. We would love to go back again!

new hot pot spot at state capitol, previously old country buffet? anyways, easily new famous spot. one price including all food, except drinks if you want. sushi rolls and small appetizers like crab rangoon and spring rolls while you wait for food cooked in hotpot and bbq plate. no separate charge. got the standard fatty beef, beef tongue and lamb slices, seafood like crab, crayfish, squid, shrimps, octopus, mussels and clams. veggies got few choices too. saw others complain about few meat choices, but there's also bbq side that have chicken, bulgogi and steak. dessert and icecream definitely fill your stomach. maybe it's a weeknight and being new, so not quite busy. definitely appreciate the space and no time limit to eat at own pace

2nd time here. Last time we only had the bbq. This visit we went all out on the hot pot. This is an all-you-can-eat buffet style restaurant so you choose all of the ingredients to put in your hot pot. I chose the spicy broth. The spice was definitely noticeable but not overwhelming. The flavor was excellent. There is a wide variety of vegetables and proteins to choose from. In addition to my veg, I grabbed shrimp, clams, beef balls and fish cake for my hot pot. There was several types of fish, crab, prawns and other meat and fish balls. All the selections were very fresh. The buffet was kept extremely clean and appetizing. The combo I chose was sooo good with my broth choice. Our server was a sweet young woman who didn't speak great English, but she was very helpful nonetheless and very attentive to our needs. We stayed for about 2 hours just eating and chatting with friends. I also had to have some bbq too but I reviewed that in a previous review. Can't miss iPot. You will have an amazing experience.

This is my go-to spot for all-you-can-eat KBBQ and hotpot. The variety is impressive, with plenty of meats, veggies, and sides to choose from. I really enjoy the self-serve setup--it makes the experience feel more interactive compared to places that use tablets. The sushi bar was a nice bonus, with a decent selection and good quality

    Strawberry sponge cake.

Highlights: * The pork bone soup was rich and comforting, perfect for sharing. * The pickled mustard fish soup had just the right kick of spice and tang, with tender fish and mushrooms--definitely a must-try. * The small plates were excellent too: the cold beef with chili oil was super flavorful, the cauliflower stir-fry had a nice crunch, and the blood tofu dish was surprisingly tasty. The portions are generous, and everything comes out fresh and hot. It's the kind of place where you can linger, share a variety of dishes, and enjoy a long meal with friends or family. The vibe is casual but warm, with beautiful Chinese-style decor on the walls. Service was friendly and quick, even though we ordered a lot of dishes at once. If you're craving homestyle Chinese food in Michigan, this is definitely worth the visit. We'll be back to try the hotpot next time!

The quality of the food and veggies was great, and we got a lot for the price compared to hot pot restaurants I've visited in other major cities. Can't see the menu when the restaurant is closed. The website has a poor user experience - We should be able to see the dine-in menu from the website before we visit the restaurant - not just a crappy "order online" menu that is not visible when the restaurant is closed.

A budget Chinese food place located near MSU campus. Funny the restaurant was named "Hong Kong"…read morebecause the theme of the cuisine is definitely Szechuan/Sichuan, quite different from the Cantonese style cuisine of Hong Kong, while the actual dishes tasted like Szechuan cuisine with reduced hotness and a bit more Cantonese details. Spicy cold plate chicken: very tender chicken slices with not too hot sauces. Could use a bit more sesame. Fish slices with preserved vegetable soup broth: Soup broth was rich with savory and sour taste of vegetables. Fish slices were a bit too thick and slightly mushy; might want to switch to another type of fish with firmer texture. Nevertheless, this dish is a bargain as it contains both a protein and a broth base (also with some rice noodles). Szechuan-style eggplants: standard. Sauce was too thick for my taste. Stir-fried spicy string beans: standard, very generous portion of minced pork and garlic adds a lot of flavor

One was their regular menu with a variety of different options and the second menu was all sushi and sashimi. There were dozens of rolls and nigiri of all types. Quite an impressive list. I was there for the Korean food so I did not order any sushi. The service was excellent. The few questions we had were answered and the menu layout was explained as it was extensive. There were apps, rice dishes, soups, house specials, BBQ options and hot pot options to name a few. I decided to go with the kim bop app and soondubu chigae main dish. Soondubu chigae is a spicy soup with silken tofu and seafood served piping hot with rice on the side. The meal also included a selection of 4 banchan; potato salad, Kimchee, bean sprouts and fish cake. All of the banchan were delicious. The banchan also comes with unlimited refills. The kim bop was so good. Not sure what all the ingredients were but it was very tasty and well made. The rice was also very good. It was not an afterthought like a lot of Asian restaurants. The rice was cooked properly and of high quality. The soondubu chigae was also very tasty. Not as spicy as I like but had lots of flavor. My one criticism is the lack of seafood. There was some but not really in balance with the amount of silken tofu and egg in the dish. Overall I would recommend Korea House and although I haven't yet tried the BBQ or the hot pot, I sure they would be excellent choices. If you're craving some authentic Korean flavors, give this spot a try.

But a friend had recommended it so we were willing to give it a try. Overall a great Chinese food experience. The menu says it's a Sichuan restaurant. And they had Sichuan dishes plus the "American" Chinese dishes you'd expect. I see they also do dim sum but we didn't try that. They have a ton of vegetarian options! The server told us that they have been open since about 2011 and they used to only have traditional Sichuan food. Their primary customer base was international students who wanted authentic Chinese food like they had at home. But after Covid there were few international students from China in town and their business was struggling, so they expanded the menu to appeal to American tastes. As a result, the menu is huge! And you can choose between authentic Chinese or American style. We tried 2 dishes and enjoyed them both. We will definitely return and try some others. It's not a fancy restaurant but there are comfortable seats for 2 and big round tables with turntables for parties of 10 who want to share dishes. The staff is a very nice and helpful family. And they could really use some more customers! Carry out or dine in.
