I'm a huge fan of IQ cleaning! My first experience with them I had issues with the crew that came out for a move-out cleaning. I emailed customer service and they assured me that the team did an unusual job. They offered me a discounted cleaning for my new place and I haven't looked back since! What I like is that this last time I called and got a same day cleaning (very unusual but someone had canceled). I had someone come out to clean the carpets the very next morning. The job that they did was phenomenal! I was present for both the regular clean and carpet clean and I was shocked to see that they were moving furniture to get the very nooks and crannies that I don't usually get on my cleans. For example, the carpet cleaning person had literally moved all of my couches and tables to get under them. The ease of scheduling is also very nice. I'm a very harsh critic of cleaning crews but I literally have zero complaints. I'm so so satisfied with their cleaning. It makes me think that the first crew they had was new/inexperienced hence why I didn't get a satisfactory cleaning. But all subsequent times have been very on point. I can't say enough! Scheduling was easy...the ladies showed up within the time window given. We didn't have our bedrooms done this time. We have two dogs and a cat, we work long hours and don't do all the dusting and cleaning we should. While I could say a couple spots were missed there was so much to do. I never imagined my house could be this clean again. Shelves I put up that hadn't been cleaned in several years are sparkling clean! My kitchen cabinets that I thought I could never get all the grime off of, clean. They even cleaned some areas I didn't think we had organized enough for them to clean. We've hired this service twice now and twice they've done a fantastic job. Both times they gave us the opportunity to run through the house at the end, to fix anything they've missed. If i could give this company negative stars I would. I used them multiple times and had very sub par cleaning and damage several times. They only want to offer another deep clean to make it better. The last chance I gave them they broke a $200 dollar vanity mirror that they said was a "hardware' issue and not responsible for the damage. Jacklyn, Favio, and Kenya came to do a move out clean in my 2br and a den apt. I asked them to focus on the living room, laundry room, den, and 2nd bathroom during the 2-3hrs they were there. I got their groupon/livingsocial deal at the time, but I think even their regular rate seemed very reasonable. Jacklyn was very friendly and positive throughout the whole clean, undaunted by all the unclaimed trash my roommates had on the floor that needed to be thrown away in the living room. I'm sure they had bagged up 10-15 bags of trash! The laundry room was probably the cleanest it has been in years. My roommate was also very appreciative and it helped make the moving process for all of us a lot easier. The kitchen was so clean that I almost wanted to move back in! I can't wait to use their services again, especially since I'm doing construction work in my new place and have been vacuuming everyday to just to remove general debris, and need the place to be wiped down top to bottom and have it be dust free. read more

The crew sent to my house was prompt, courteous, professional and personable. And they cleaned EVERYTHING! Wall, baseboards, doors, EVERYTHING! And even offered to do bed linens. IQ cleaning does an OK job at cleaning, but a horrible job at customer service. We have used them for years, but recently their scheduling has become extremely unreliable. About half of the time, they are running extremely behind schedule and cannot arrive anywhere close to the window in which they say they will arrive. A few weeks ago, I received a voicemail right at the end of the window saying that the cleaning team could not reach my house because access was blocked. (The street to the east of our house was closed for an event, but our street was not blocked.) I called back within five minutes, but was on hold for over 20 minutes before I finally was able to leave a voicemail. Only after repeatedly calling every number associated with IQ for over half an hour and emailing them repeatedly were we able to get ahold of anyone. The customer service representative refused to do anything other than schedule us for later in the afternoon, which we grudgingly accepted. We then got an email a couple of hours later saying that they would not be able to come in the afternoon and when we called them they said there was nothing they could do, no manager was available, and a manager would call us first thing on Monday. We are still waiting for the manager to call. They basically told me that the windows you schedule them for mean nothing (unless you book the earliest window), you will never be able to get in touch with anyone about your issue, and if you finally do get ahold of someone, they will be unable to help you. Our one bedroom unit has not been clean by a professional vendor for over four years. Handy.com really disappointed and discouraged us until our neighbor recommended IQ to us. We decided to have a try. It is way better than we expected. Lots of details have been taken care of, including those we did not realize till sometime later. For example, we usually cook oily food every two to three days. We are quite sure that our kitchen is much tougher to clean than others. I am satisfied overall with this service. I have them come in monthly to clean my 750 sq ft condo. Would be 5 stars but there are always a few areas that get missed in my bathroom such as the exterior of my pedestal sink, base of the toilet, and the soap/toothbrush holders. Also, hide your paper towels and trash bags. I have not yet mentioned these minor issues to the service, and I am confident that they will be resolved once I mention them. Yes Nichole, you were YELLING on the phone. It wasn't "your mic suddenly getting louder". It was your tone--Your were YELLING &LASHING OUT at your customers on the phone. The review for service provided on November 18th, When Nichole called and said that there will be an extra charge for the cleaning, we thought "that makes sense" since there was an overload of service offered. Then Nichole told us " it would be an extra 120 dollars, could I get your permission to charge your card right now?" Consequently, we wished to review how the extra 120 dollars corresponded to different extra services, just to prevent overcharge which happens in a lot of business transactions. However, Nichole had only been sending us numbers on grand totals before and after, and she was keen on pressing us to pay ASAP. We had to call Nichole again to clarify we need to see how the 120 dollar bill breaks into different services given to us before we pay. Nichole was unprepared to answer us on how the 120 dollar bill breaks into different services given to us, and Nichole became more and more impatient. At one point, she started yelling "IT IS LATE and I WANT TO FINISH THIS ASAP and I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK &FORTH WITH YOU NOW". When we tried to explain we just need the complete money lists for all the extra individual services we have to pay for, Nichole burst out with impatience "because I DON'T HAVE ALL THESE NUMBERS and I JUST WANT TO FINISH THIS. IT IS GETTING REALLY LATE!" When Nichole finally gave us the complete chart for all the extra costs, it turned out there was AN OVERCHARGE on dishwashing fees. Nichole said she didn't know why these was an overcharge for dishwashing fee and she blamed her manger for the overcharge. We were merely requesting more info regarding the money that (shouldn't) went out of our pocket! Is that too much to ask for a customer? I always wait for the second cleaning to review. The first time, they're trying to make me come back...the second time, they show their true colors. And my second time was great. My house is very clean and I LOVE that they do flat fees for the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, rather than hourly rates, so the cleaners don't drag their feet the first time or two and then overcharge you when it *magically* takes less time once their rate is set. I tried IQ out when I moved from a *640* square foot 1-bedroom/1-bathroom condo to a ~1500 ft2 4-bedroom, 2 bathroom house (of which they only clean 3 bedrooms, since the guest room is lightly used and I'm fine dusting and sweeping it myself once a month or when used, whichever comes first). In my teeny, tiny 1-bedroom condo, my previous service was charging me almost $100, claimed it took an hour and 15 minutes to clean it, and missed many fine points like sweeping off baseboards or wiping down light switches. IQ does 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, and 2 sitting ("living"...one is lightly used and the other heavily) rooms in under 2 hours, hits all those fine points, and charges me a reasonable amount (not terribly much more than what I was paying for that 1-bedroom). My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. read more

I have had iQ Cleaning come to my place several times, but no more. I fired them after our last exchange. The first few times they came, I was impressed and happy. The place was clean. The little fans and flowers out of tissue--whatever, they're cute but I don't care. I want my home clean, and it was. Then things took a turn. The place was not clean. I mean visibly not clean: the bathroom and the kitchen both. So I complained. And the management was very responsive. They offered to come back to do it again, but since it is a pain for me to have them here, I assumed it was a bad day and let it ride until next time. Next time arrived, and more of same, plus a sullen team who were apparently aware I complained and were not pleased with me as a result. But the bad attitude did not translate into a clean home, alas. The exact same dirt (yes, I left it there as a test) in the guest bath. The same uncleaned areas on the stove. And dirty dishes left in the sink! Another complaint. A promise of their "A Team" (then who have you been sending to my home?!?) if they could just come back and make it right. So I agreed to allow this--I was very unhappy about the now-4-weeks-worth of unremoved dirt! So the A Team arrives. The bathroom is finally clean (try 3). The kitchen does not pass inspection. I am required to explain to the team that gas stove grates can be moved so that one can clean the stove, something I did not realize was arcane cleaning knowledge--but based on the large, visible burned crumbs in the burners, it must have been so. After this lesson, the kitchen was finally clean (try 4). And away they went. That night, I went upstairs to take a bath in my lovely, large claw-foot tub. It has a handheld shower attachment on a hose, should one wish to wash hair or rinse off. (cue ominous music) You guessed it--I turn on the water and the "A Team" has left it switched over to the shower head attachment (which I very carefully never do!). So now I am chasing this whipping snake spraying water across the floors, walls, and ceilings with abandon, swearing up a storm and wondering what *else* they did that I don't (yet) know about! I did turn off the water and catch the stupid thing eventually. And then wipe up the water from the floors, walls, and ceiling. And, yes, I know that could have been inadvertent--but it was the absolute last straw. I am done with a "cleaning service" that requires that I watch every single thing they do, inspect every single thing they clean before they leave so they can re-do the crappy jobs, and then check everything they touched for booby-traps, intentional or not. Off to find a new service (and replace my toothbrush, just in case...). read more

iQ made my home very clean. The team left every surface shining. They could have made a slightly better effort to put things back where they'd found them, but it's to be expected that a cleaning service reshuffles things a bit. The problem: When I came home, I noticed something odd with one of my plants. It was a succulent that I had just re-potted into a medium-sized brown pot from a small green pot (its roots were super cramped in the little green pot). When I'd left that morning, the succulent was in the bigger brown pot on the windowsill and the little green pot was next to the sink, waiting for me to wash it. When I came home, the succulent was back in the little green pot, the plant was missing a branch, and the brown pot was completely gone. My take on the situation: the cleaning service knocked over my plant, broke the brown pot, and put the plant back into the empty green pot that they found nearby. Not a big deal, really...except that they didn't tell me about it. When I brought it up with customer service afterwards, I was informed that what actually happened was that the team had found a plant in a bag(??) and put it in the empty green pot for me, and that the team was "unaware of a brown pot." They offered to credit me the value of the brown pot anyway, but the skeptical tone of the reply ("if there had been an incident...") made it abundantly clear that they thought I was both crazy and out of line. They basically challenged me to prove that it had happened. I have better things to do than argue with a stranger about my own potted plants, so I backed off. The verdict: a young business with some important customer service kinks to work out. They certainly know how to clean, but the unprofessional way they handled this small snafu means I won't be trusting them with access to my home again. ******* Editing this later to add that my conversation with iQ cleaning has continued since I posted this review, and they really do want to make things right. They even sent me one of those silly hanging air plants, which I guess was a nice gesture even if it isn't at all similar to the thing that they broke. read more

I used them for a move-out deep cleaning and carpet cleaning. According to their Yelp page, the property management company for my apartment has a reputation of finding any loophole possible to keep your security deposit. For that reason I wanted to make sure I got the place professionally cleaned before I left. Today (Monday) is my move-out inspection so I wanted to hire a cleaning company that worked on Sundays- so I can have every last minute possible to move (we have a lot of stuff). After much searching and frustration because apparently there are almost no cleaning services on weekends, I found IQ Cleaning. I called about a week out and the lady was super friendly, flexible, and helpful. They immediately took my order and even gave me a discount because I bundled services (move-out and carpet). I told them I needed the details of what the move-out cleaning included in writing for my landlord and they sent that to me, along with my order confirmation via email. As the date got closer, I received email reminders (maybe two- definitely on the helpful side, not too many annoying emails). They even called to confirm and ask if they could push the time back. I really appreciated this because they called to ask if they could, not tell me that they did. It actually worked out better because we were running behind on the move and I wanted the place vacant for the cleaning. Two ladies arrived 30 mins before the window. They were very nice and got to work immediately. They divided and conquered. After an hour or so, two more ladies showed up. We were not done moving yet. Those ladies served as cleaners, therapists, and movers- no joke. They were worried about me because I looked stressed out and said they wanted to make sure they helped in any way possible. They even help me pack my kitchen and move things out! They also saved me a trip to Goodwill. I told them they could have anything from my donate pile, and they were very grateful. The place was spotless. One of the ladies was tiny and it was funny because she got fully inside my over and scraped it until it was shinny. They even moved the fridge and cleaned under it. The carpet still had a few stains, but I honestly think they were set-in stains that nothing else could have removed. I HAD to give them a good tip because they went above and beyond. We'll see how the check-out inspection goes today, but I KNOW the property management company will not find any cleaning-related loopholes. I will definitely be using this service again. read more

A couple things that could be improved are the attention to detail, especially in the corners of the apartment and also under dressers/beds. The first few times I used them, they were absolutely amazing. A 2 or more person team would come to our house/apt and clean it from top to bottom and leave no stone unturned. We were so impressed that we had our friends book them as well. This is why they have 2 stars now, their prior service prevented them from getting a one star review. Recently, everything has changed. We thought it was just a blip in service, so we scheduled them again after a bad cleaning and it was just as bad. They also used our cleaning products, to include our trash bags which they found under our kitchen sink and 2 full rolls of paper towels. If I am paying for a cleaning service, I expect you to bring your own cleaning supplies. In one instance, we had dirty dishes in the sink, the cleaner called her boss and 2 seconds later I received a phone call from the service saying that it will be $20 to wash my dishes, fine I agreed to this. The cleaners "rinse cleaned" the dishes and left food and residue stuck to them, so much for my $20. I could write an entire paragraph about how they left our apartment, twice, but I wont bore anyone who is reading. I will just say, our last 2 cleanings have left our home dusty and us very unsatisfied. This place was great when they first started, but beware... the service is mediocre at best. read more

Avoid for Move Out cleaning. We were so excited originally to find a service with online scheduling and such reasonable prices. I should have known the prices were too good to be true. I was given a confirmation and the app scanned my credit card for $440 when I booked my move out clean, carpet cleaning and carpet deodorizing. The next morning, with the cleaners outside of my house, we received a call from the office saying that the actual price would be $701. In any circumstance other than a move out clean where time was of the essence I would have canceled on the spot, but we were stuck and on a timeline. I asked for a detailed invoice of the change in price at that time and a detailed invoice and receipt after the cleaning and before they charged my card. I never received another email or receipt from them. At one point during the move, I receive another call on my cell from the office asking if I wanted my windows cleaned (from the inside) because this wasn't a part of the move out clean and it would be an additional $75/hr. I said I'd have to check with my husband (who was at the house being cleaned) because, really, I could grab windex and paper towels and save the $75/hr. The woman on the phone said my husband requested it. Now, knowing my husband, no way would he suggest we spend more money, so I packed up and headed back to the old house. When I found my husband he said he asked about the windows not being cleaned and the cleaner called the office. The woman in the office told my husband I had requested the service. He said no. So, my guess is there was a little bit of playing us off one another to squeeze even more money out of us. And really? Interior windows aren't a part of a move out clean? As far as the cleaning services go, the cleaners did an ok job of basic - very basic - cleaning. Some places they did well - our mud room was, in fact, covered in mud and they cleaned that. Honestly, though, my young daughter could have probably done better. Before they arrived, I cleaned the fridge (to include taking every drawer, shelf, etc out and cleaning it), the oven (even the window in the door), the main floor baseboards and windows (I assumed that was part of the move out clean). The cleaners left when my husband stepped away for a few, so he didn't get a final walk-through and I saw the house for the first time when we were turning over the keys. I was incredibly disappointed. As I was talking to the owner in the entrance, I started wiping massive dust off the wood on the main stairs (wood was not cleaned/dusted). Then I started walking through the house.... Not all of the baseboards were cleaned, there was a urine/dirty cleaner stain on a toilet seat, stains and something floating in the master bath toilet, black curly hair (I'm blonde, my husband is folicly challenged) stuck on the master bath sink and walls, and stuff still on the carpet. Although parts of the carpet were still damp, I picked up various things off the carpet, to include my daughter's heart pill (I would have thought the vacuum and/or the carpet cleaner would have gotten things off the carpet). There were marks on the walls and dirty handprints around the light switches and electrical outlets and food on the kitchen floor. Considering I did a large part of the cleaning before, I certainly do not believe they did a job worth $701. There website states "You will not be charged until your appointment has been completed and we've followed up to make sure you're satisfied." We never received a follow up and we're certainly not satisfied, but they did charge our credit card. In the end, we had to clean the house ourselves after key turn in. We are military and I would strongly urge other military families to look elsewhere when booking a move out clean. read more

Used IQ Cleaning for the first time today. I was not home when they came but they kept the lines of communication open by keeping me updated on their ETA. I like that they charge a flat rate and have the prices listed on their website. Considering the low price, the service was good and I'll be using them again. All of the rooms looked very clean. My house needed a really deep cleaning and this people did a really great job and gave me just the service I needed. They washed walls and even cleaned the dust of the blinds which is something I really hate to do . By the time they left even my deck was in tip top condition. and they had even power washed all the smoke and soot of our chimney. I decided to signup for once a month. Every time is just as good! I left some sheets out to change the bed the next day, not expecting them to do it and without asking it was done! I like that they are fine with specific requests, like asking that they not use the electrical outlets in back of our TV in the living room because it messes up the reception.
