Since this was my first time using this company, I purposely put things places just to see if they would thoroughly do their job...and they didn't. I have a white bookshelf that was never touched...I have a center piece on my dining room table that I THOUGHT would have been moved so they could wipe the entire table and then place it back. It wasn't until I came onto Yelp, and I saw the reviews of IQ Cleaning and I decided to give it a try. I wish I had learned about this cleaning service years ago! IQ Cleaning always make sure that every service is done correctly, and if its not done to my liking, they always make sure its fixed immediately! Also, email reminders a couple days before, and the day before the cleaning is extremely helpful. Great experience! Simple online booking, excellent customer service, and a very thorough cleaning service. The three cleaners took 1.5 hours to do my 2-bath 2-BR apartment, including cleaning the oven (add-on service). They did a great overall cleaning with little extras that I didn't expect, like making the bed, dusting the blinds and bookshelves, and even organizing my bathroom toiletries. I've had poor experiences with cleaning services before, but now that I've found iQ Cleaning, I'll definitely be back! Completely worth the cost for occasional major cleaning needs. Only negative: I had rescheduled the arrival window from 2:30-4:30 to 4:30-6:30, and the cleaners showed up at 3:50. I also bought a living social deal for 3 cleanings + one refrigerator cleaning. I can't remember if there was a certain time limit (aka 90 minutes of "man-power" which with other deals has been about 3 people for 30 minutes), but the crew of four that came to clean our condo (about 680 sq ft) actually stayed until the whole place was clean. I'm talking books pulled off shelves to dust (and putting them back nicely), baseboards, windows, blinds, everything! It was amazing. In addition to the moving, shuffling, and organizing that was involved in their cleaning, they also took the time to make the bed, fold towels (and tissues), and take out a ton of trash (our place sounds likes a mess, but it was two days before our wedding and they worked through every obstacle). We also have a dog that the cleaners were extremely fond of, but were also sure to clean all the dog hair from every alcove (Do people still say this, the alcoves? Nooks and crannies, yes! Perhaps this would be more accurate. Nooks and crannies rather than alcoves). Anyway, I haven't used the scheduling system on their site, but as someone who hates calling people (especially while I'm at work), an easy, on-the-line scheduling system is very convenient to me. Can't recommend this company enough. I'm excited to use the rest of my vouchers and then sign up with them permanently. read more

They cleaned my house the way I would if I had the time. They work hard and take pride in their work. They don't just rush to get out. My personal experience of the cleaning job of this company was a total disappointment! What they did was anything but thorough cleaning! I wonder how could this be allowed with in our system. I do not understand the real reasons for those 5 stars reviews. The only thing I understand is that the service that I received was not certainly5 stars quality work, not even one star quality work! Despite the fact that when I originally called them, I'd mentioned what I needed and they quoted a price accordingly. They claim: "iQ.Cleaning Premium Home Services". "PREMIUM" however, means Best, Top, Finest, Superior, Exceptional, and First-class. The pictures that I sent them after their cleaning, however, testified to an Inferior and a very Low-Grade cleaning job with a pleated and decorated toilet papers. But one should ask the famous question: "Where is the beef?" The cleaners should spend more time and efforts cleaning a place, removing the dirt and the dust...rather than decorating toilet papers! After sending the pictures of the mess they left behind everywhere, they apologized and refunded my credit card account for $70.00 out of the total charge of $179.00 for one bedroom and a den apartment. Still, a rip-off! Especially, given the fact that I had to pay my old cleaners, whose fees are much less, to come and clean the place again. I purchased a deep cleaning package. Although it's not listed on their website, according to Rei from the company, that includes "cleaning wet wiping of baseboards, wet wiping blinds, windows sills and moving small furnitures as they can. For the regular cleaning, it is just basically dry dusting, vacuuming and mopping." Well the two ladies came and did a cursory cleaning, and left after almost exactly 2 hours. Shortly there after, I noticed that the mopping job on the main floor (hardwood floors and marble kitchen tiles) was awful; there was still visible dirt on the HWF and the kitchen tiles. Also, about 50% of The baseboards had not been touched. Additionally, the exterior of stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher) had not been wipe so there were loads of fingerprints and what not still there. I called IQ about 30 minutes after the team left, and they sent another team later in the afternoon. The team was prepared to re-clean the whole house, so it didn't seem like anyone told them what was going on, but I just asked him to do those three touchups, which they did. If I have a rating them just on the initial clean, I would give them 1 star, but since they sent someone out a few hours later, that at least gets an average rating. read more

I tried this company out a few months ago because I liked the online scheduling and the ability to choose an appointment window unlike my usual company that emails me the day before to let me know my time, which may or may not work. And I have a dog that I don't want to lock up all day so unfortunately I do feel the need to be home when a cleaning crew is there. The first time I tried IQ they did a satisfactory job, showed up within their window and cleaned as well as my regular company but at a slightly higher cost. I decided to give them another try with the intent to switch over because I like the online scheduling but I received a call 10 minutes past my window (2:30-3:30) stating that they wouldn't be there until 5:30, which was two hours later than the end of my window. Unfortunately this didn't work for me because I was expecting people over at 7pm and this would mean they wouldn't be finished in time. I had to cancel and then clean myself before my guests arrived. I understand that things happen and normally I would be more flexible but I specifically planned the appointment window so that it would be done with plenty of time and the delay just didn't work for me. I wouldn't have written this company off had I received some follow up correspondence from the company but I never heard anything after I canceled so I won't be using them again. Bummer. read more

Their customer service guys are quite nice, cleaning stuffs are really nice and friendly, and good at what they are doing. Our apartment is brand as new now. I am actually interested in cleaning. I was raised by a woman who cleans her house with a toothbrush, inch by inch, for fun. I read books and blogs about cleaning. What I don't do anymore, now that all my energy goes to raising my toddler, is the weekly deep clean that every home deserves. I was reluctant to hire a cleaning service when I first got pregnant two years ago, but at eight months pregnant I could barely waddle around my home, let alone wield a vacuum. I have used IQ Cleaning for biweekly cleaning services, move-out cleaning, snow removal, and landscaping services. I started using them in 2015 and continue to use them now. I like how easy it is to book services online, the convenience of chatting with someone instantly, and that you can customize the service to what you are looking for. So far, I have been very pleased with the quality and services IQ offers. I have been very satisfied with the move-out cleanings and I am used to the military PCS cleaning checklist. They have sent enough cleaners to do the job well during the two-hour period. I was also very satisfied with the snow removal services after the Blizzard this year. They came the same day that I called, their prices were competitive, and they even called me before proceeding when they saw that it was going to take longer than originally anticipated. When I called for landscaping services this past fall, they did a Fall clean-up where they mow the grass, blow the leaves from the roof and the yard, bag the fallen leaves and branches, trim the bushes and edges, and clean and rake the soil around the planters. Plus, included in the price, they also came back one more time to blow and bag the last fallen leaves from my mature trees. Their prices were very competitive compared to a few others that service the area and the yard looked spotless compared to other neighbors that have recurrent landscaping services. One of my neighbors (that I had not met before) stopped by inquiring about our landscaping services because our yard really stood out from the others and didn't have a leaf left on the yard! Like some of you, I have also had a couple of ladies that have not exceeded my expectations but in my experience, it has been very easy to call and talk to IQ Cleaning and they have listened and have fixed the issue in a very quick and friendly matter that has worked for me. My advice to you is that when you find a crew that you like, call and request to keep that crew everytime that you need services. Like that, it guarantees the same quality of service that meets your satisfaction every time and you get to develop a relationship with the crew as well. This is a great cleaning service. I have tried MANY different cleaning companies and am always disappointed. I finally did some thorough online vetting and IQ looked like a good option with high rating so i tried. They are thorough, time, and nice. The house looked great (townhouse - took about 1.5 hrs with 2 people). The only things i wish they would improve upon is the online booking. You can book initially online but you have to email or call to make any changes or add any services. That said, the customer service is VERY friendly and very responsive and i believe this is a service they are working on. Only other thing is this tissue folding thing.. it looks cool but it wastes 10-15 tissues that i can't get back in the box so they just sit on my counter oddly afterward. But all in all this is the best place i have tried in the NOVA area. read more

If I were to describe iQ Cleaning in one word, it would have to be 'Dedicated'. They truly are committed to customer satisfaction. My experience turned a full 180 degrees going from 'would not recommend' to 'highly recommend' within a day. In a nutshell the highs and lows of my service experience: Booking was easy and informative. I spoke with Nicole who answered many of my questions about services, some more detailed than others. I was excited based off of the information I received to try out their company. Unfortunately, on the day of service there was an emergency, and my cleaning had to be rescheduled to an earlier time and with a different crew than what was originally planned. The notice given wasn't great, but then again it was an emergency. To compound the already inconvenient time change, the crew that arrived didn't provide the wonderful service that I'd read about in so many of these other reviews. I called and left a message immediately after the crew left, quite upset about the level of service provided. Nicole gave me a call back to discuss what had gone wrong and what could be done to make it right. She explained that regrettably, they'd sent a team who was still in training due to the aforementioned emergency, and that they felt were ready to provide the premium level of service iQ is known for. They obviously weren't. I was offered to have a different team back out the very same day but due to time constraints couldn't accept the service that afternoon. Instead, I asked to have the new team come the following morning. The team that came blew me away. Everything that I had hoped would be accomplished on the first cleaning was completed beyond my expectations. They did a nice job. My floor is cleaner than ever, bathrooms are shiny. Kitchen looks newer. They are fast and professional. However, there are a few things I'd like to mention: I have four bedrooms but I only ordered cleaning two since the other two are totally empty that I didn't feel necessary to be cleaned. When they came, I told them just to clean two bedrooms before they started but they ended up cleaning four so I was charged for four. The job was done nicely it's just they didn't follow my request precisely. I also ordered to clean the inside of windows and all the blinds. They cleaned the blinds well but also broke a few pieces. Since my blinds are very old and I was considering replacing with new ones soon I didn't really care. They missed the kitchen windows with window screens on the inside. I was expecting them to clean the window screens but since they didn't clean the window screens they didn't clean those windows neither. They also missed some minor shots such as the shelf in master bathroom while they cleaned my toothbrush holder thoroughly, some floor area in my laundry room, and floor under the bed is cleaner but still I can see some dust. I'm not too picky and didn't expect them to do a perfect job so overall I'm happy with a much cleaner house without having to do all the cleaning myself. The company has been hit or miss. There was at least one time where they half cleaned my apartment. Several other times where they rescheduled my time and one time when they rescheduled my date. For the price, I'd go with someone more consistent. I had one time where my management company messed up the date and didn't give them the key and they charged me a fee - despite the times I pointed out that they had changed the date. The management was not willing to refund their cancellation fee and as a result I fired them. That ranks low on my customer service. read more
