I got my go to falafel pita, which is the perfect amount of food for a light lunch - the falafel is nice and hot, with a light crisp and soft interior, and the hummus perfectly brings all the veggies and falafel together - I do feel like they don't stuff as much or as many types of veggies and pickles inside as they did before, but it's still tasty and a good deal for $11. Falafel STOP has been an institution for a long time, and it's definitely still a neighborhood staple and my go to for whenever I'm craving a falafel pita!

They asked about food allergies and when I said dairy, gluten, and eggs they confirmed it was a sensitivity rather than an allergy. They helped me choose my take home hummus. The gyro meat was soft and tasty but on the salty side. The Hummus was good especially topped with the chili sauce and pita. Chili sauce tasted like chili and salsa mixed together; added a little spice and slight sweetness. Pita was soft, fluffy inside and toasty grilled outside. The salad has a vinaigrette dressing which had sweet citrus flavor; complemented the other items on the plate. The Basmati rice was yummy, with butter flavor. The Falafel was soft almost fluffy inside vs dense. The outer fried layer had a nutty taste with cumin with slight spicy flavor. The Beek Kabab was ok. A bit tough but good seasoning. Also a bit expensive for $21 with only about 5 pieces of beef chunks. The Cheeseburger was ok. They had the self serve water cooler by the window so it doesn't really stay cold because it's directly hit by the sun. Good place to get food to go. You order using the kiosk tablet. Since I typically order takeout, I haven't spent much time inside the restaurant. But I do like the clean, tasteful aesthetic. I also appreciate the staff, both for their friendliness and promptness. I've tried various meats and enjoyed them all; my favorites are the Pomegranate Chicken and Steak Shawarma. It's cool to see Döner Kebab on the menu, too. The different entrée types have varying portion sizes and levels of customization. My preferred type is the Plate, because of the balance of protein, carbs, & veggies. But I think most would like the options & size of the Bowl. On the more critical side, I do not think the Wrap Bites are worthwhile. The form factor & taste are good, but the portions are lacking. I'm also not a fan of the fries and wish I could swap with other sides. Some other thoughts on the menu. Entrées let you add on a lentil soup cup for free, so don't forget it! What you should forget about is the Dubai Chocolate... even if it's "cheap" relative to others, it's just not that good. Finally, if you plan to come here more than once, it's worth creating a free account. You can get some good discounts, including frequent Buy One Get One (BOGO) deals on the entrées. This, plus the consistency & options, make me return to SAJJ even if not the objective "best" Mediterranean in the area.
