Chicken Platter: hummus, special sauce, chicken, rice and salad and pita in next picture. I ate a couple of bites but perfect quantity

I just picked up food from here Friday, around 5:30 pm. It wasn't busy, but I saw food reviews on yelp and stopped for Starbucks and noticed this place. I have to say it's one of the BEST! I got the chicken platter and it's literally so delicious that I had to write a review immediately. I'm so happy I stopped and tried this and will definitely be back. Great ambiance, the staff is friendly and the food is amazing.

I ordered the Chicken Platter. It had hummus, pita, chicken, and some salad. I chose to get it mildly spicy. It was spicy for me. I'm not good with spice so I recommend non-spice lovers to get spicy. I enjoyed it. The chicken was marinated well and not too salty and sweet. The hummus tasted great with the pita. The salad helped to balance out the meal. My meal came out quickly. There's a lot of parking outside. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. My friend and I were the only ones there. Definitely a great place to meet friends, family, or go on a date!

I heavily recommend the chicken platter, its my go to every time! My only complaint is that I wish they still included tzatziki sauce .

My friend and I shared their the flame platter, which is a combination of the gyro, chicken, and falafel on top of rice with pita and hummus. We also ordered a side of fries. Once ordering, there is quite a bit of a wait, so I wouldn't come here if you're in a big rush. Lunch on the weekdays seem to be pretty filled but clear out around 1 PM. The gyro, falafel, pita and hummus were definitely standouts for me. The falafel has a thinner, crisp exterior, which I actually prefer because I feel like you can actually taste the falafel. I think they butter their pitas too, which makes it have better flavor. On the other hand, I did feel like the chicken was pretty dry, the rice was a little under seasoned (works when you bite everything but tastes a little bland on its own), and the fries could use a couple more minutes in the fryer. Overall, pretty solid place. I can see why people would come here during lunch. I'd probably just get the gyro lunch platter with a side of falafel next time but am glad I got to try a bunch of things

Our 19th hole was here after a round of golf at nearby Sunnyvale Golf Course. The eight of us sat outdoors at one of two picnic tables. Ordering process - either with the cashier at the counter or at the self kiosk. If you order at the counter you're given a number. Later our order was brought to us. Hubby and I took an quick look at one of several laminated menus on the counter. He went with the grilled chicken salad and I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. The orders were very similar. Hubby's was minus the wrap but same ingredients. Both were tasty and very generous. My wrap was very messy to eat as the yogurt dressing kept running down my fingers. Located in a strip mall. Ample parking. Tip; check in on Yelp for a piece of baklava.

It's a very unassuming restaurant. I thought I was in the wrong place at first because I was confused by the vibe of the place. Without reading the reviews, I would've thought it was an overpriced, fast-food type of place. You order by yourself via the kiosk (no one was at the cashier counter when we arrived). Then, choose your own table and sit down. Since we were quoted a 15 min-ish wait, my bf and I decided to make a quick run to Lucky's first. When we came back, we just chose a random table to sit down. The lady working there took notice and brought us our plates & utensils. Everything else is pretty much self-serve. I love that they have to-go boxes on the side. It made it easy for me to do portion control (by reminding me that I can just take leftover home). I thought that the entrees were a bit pricey though (~$18). The portion and quality of the entrees were not bad, but I've had better shawarma platters.

We were looking for good gyros nearby and my daughter found this place. We got there super early to pick up dinner and was greeted promptly as we entered. They have a kiosk in the front, which made the ordering quite easy. We were able to order and leave to pick up some other items in the same complex since they would text us when our order was ready. We ordered: - Falafel Wrap - Gyro Wrap - free baklava with yelp check in The owner was super friendly when we picked up the food to go. Both wraps were filled to the brim and very saucy which we love. Flavors were spot on as well. The baklava tasted great as well. More honey than what we normally have. That made it taste better. We will definitely be back.

Falafel flame is in my top 3 go-to restaurants for dinner on a weekday. The food is so delicious and consistent every time. It's decent if you get it delivered, but nothing beats eating it there, hot and fresh! I have tried both the burgers and the plates, can't go wrong with either. For the burger I'd recommend the Texan burger that has BBQ sauce because the sauce is very well done, it has the right tang and flavor for BBQ sauce and the meat is cooked very well. I love the grilled onion and pepper mixture they put in it as well, complements the bbq sauce perfectly. If you get fries on the side the best part is you can dip them in the bbq sauce drippings from the burger, now that's a pro tip! I'd also highly recommend the chicken plate. Everything on the plate is well thought out and delicious. The salad has a nice light honey mustard dressing, the basmati rice is seasoned and cooked to perfection, the pita it comes with is warm and every so slightly crisp and the chicken is beautifully cooked and drizzled with a special white garlic sauce. They also give you a hot sauce and yogurt sauce on the side which is great to dip each bite in (if they don't give you these sauces make sure to ask for them on the side!) Service: I always get helped right away and they are very accommodating with requests like extra sauce and sometimes I even order ahead for dine in! Like I basically call in saying I'll be there in 15 mins and I want to eat there and then when I get there the food is ready and served asap :) Pricing is average, you're going to spend about $20-$25 for a solid meal here and they don't skimp so it's worth it. Ingredients are also a cut above so that's nice. As for ambiance, it's not the prettiest spot, but the seating is comfortable and they always have a table available. They could benefit from a proper central air heating/cooling system and the floors should probably be changed at some point, but they do decent job keeping the place generally clean though. This one is an easy 5/5 when it comes to the food!

Amazing food. Great service. Chicken Sharma wrap was spot on. Decent and clean ambience. You can claim a free Baklava for Yelp check in too. With so many positives, you must wonder...why the 3 stars then? The reason for the 1 star deduction is the price. Considering the fact that it's a self-order and self-serve place, the prices are definitely on the higher side. It'll be great if the management can come up with lunch style menu with reasonable prices. And then possibly I would love to return for lunch on more regular basis.

Very delicioud mango lassi, would definitley get this again.

The best of the bunch was the dahi batata puri, but it still didn't quite hit the spot. It was definitely on the sweeter side and I felt like the dahi/yogurt wasn't as creamy as I prefer. The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else. Thank me later.

A food truck, not to mention a highly rated food truck was the perfect solution for what I needed. I couldn't resist the NYC Chicken Tikka Masala, because I enjoy all four words of that dish, so what could go wrong? The guy made it for me and handed me this thick boy to-go box, which I promptly walked to my rental car and opened up to see a 10/10 visually appealing heaping meal. And then I took a bite and.... where was the flavor? I took another bite. Same thing. And another. And another. Bland tikka masala?? How does this happen? After I had several bites, I came to the conclusion that it tasted like chicken dipped into water. There was literally no taste to the sauce. Was an ingredient forgotten? Did I come to close to closing time (30 minutes)? I really don't know. I enjoyed the pita bread and the salad concoction, but I will forever be bummed thinking about the alternative places I almost visited before choosing to grab dinner here.

This one was disappointing enough to feel worth documenting. My boyfriend and I ended up here after attempting to go to Treehouse nearby (which had an hour wait--unsurprising given the concept). This restaurant was a short walk away, which actually worked out well given how congested the area was, and we walked in optimistic. The space itself is very large, but nearly empty for a weekday evening. It felt family-owned and casual, which I usually love--many of my favorite restaurants fall into that category. Unfortunately, the experience didn't reflect that warmth. We were given a different menu than other diners, which immediately felt odd. Service wasn't overtly rude, but it was noticeably unwelcoming--almost a "why are you here?" tone rather than hospitality. We ordered hummus and feta, both of which were surprisingly expensive for the portion and quality. We were told bread would arrive automatically with the hummus, but it didn't--despite asking multiple times. When it finally arrived, it was poorly cooked and no longer served any purpose, as we were already well into the meal. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, our mains took about 30 minutes. One dish--a kebab--was fine but very forgettable for a $30+ price point. My dish, dumplings in a yogurt-based sauce, was honestly inedible. I left it untouched and mentioned that it didn't taste good. The response was simply, "Oh, so you don't want a box?" No attempt to fix the issue or even acknowledge it. What sealed it for me was the overall condition of the place. Dirty cutlery, a generally rundown interior, and a lack of attention to cleanliness made it uncomfortable to eat there. I'm not picky about ambiance when the food and service deliver--but here, nothing quite worked together. The whole experience felt very turn-and-burn, as if the restaurant relies on proximity to a popular area rather than repeat customers. I left feeling like unless you're part of a specific in-crowd, this isn't a place that's trying very hard to win you over. Personally, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it--especially given the pricing and the many better options nearby.

My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.
