$30 for this. I took the picture after I ate one spoon of hummus and 1 piece of chicken. I was…read moreshocked at the amount when I opened the box and since it's a takeout the food kinda mixed up together. My friend was also shocked coz she got her food from roost and roast next door and the portion was much bigger. I took it back to the store and confirm with cashier that it was the right amount. She's like "oh yeah you definitely took more than 1 piece" -- very bad attitude. The price doesn't justify for the portion. Flavor is just ok. She offered to add more in the end but no thanks I got full from her attitude.

Nice little mini Oren's in this shopping center, and the hummus is always really smooth and thick…read more They don't have all the same menu items as a non-express Oren's (notably, I am sad they don't have whole wheat pitas here), but they have some good options, including some pita sandwiches if you're not in the mood for a bowl of hummus. I got the hummus with eggplant, "jaffa" style (which I think means more garlic), and it's my favorite of the hummus bowls offered here (I like the hummus with mushrooms best at the non-express Oren's). The interior is smallish with only a table and a "bar" by the window, but there is also outdoor seating which is good in most California weather. They also give you your hummus bowl in essentially a take out container without the lid, so it's really easy to just ask for a lid if you have leftovers. The service is reasonably fast, as well. Overall a great place to grab a quick lunch if you're in the area, so I will certainly be back again!

I was super excited to come here because i love everything middle east…read more First: the store itself has tons of nice products - more than any middle eastern market in SF and i have been visiting those for years and know them inside and outside. So if you want an odd item and didnt find it in sf, try here. Store is clean and well organized. I did buy hummus and baba ganoush and lebneh to take home but Unfortunately.. the baba ganoush was fizzy and clearly expired so i threw $5 in trash. As for the " deli " itself, i was super excited they had a veggie plate with rice and roasted vegetables instead of the same falafel option every other place has. The vegies were good and well roasted, unfortunately not the onions. It took a long time for them to roast (normal). I tried to order it in advance so they would be very broiled but they never picked up the phone (though try had at least 7/8 employees and 1 customer at that time). I know it was one customer because i arrived 5 minutes later and the place was empty. The rice looked excellent but was dry and with no taste which i was dissapointed by. The salad dressing is where everything went wrong. It had a terrible sour taste to it and i was afraid to get sick but luckily did not. The sweets sold actually looked fresh (unlike sf stores) but the backlava was not the best i ever had. Overall i would shop here again but probably not eat lunch here again unless i ordered with no salad and lots of advance - but im vegetarian and im assuming the meat items are better.
