The Segway tour and our guides were amazing. I booked a tour for our group. We were supposed to be 9 people. We bought the insurance and unfortunately 2 of the people in the group got sick and could not attend. I called and emailed before the tour and spoke to them and was told we would be refunded for the 2 who could not attend. When I got there I reconfirmed that we would receive a refund. This was February 18th. As of today March 5, no refund, no returned calls with explanation or discussion and no response to my email. The tour itself was fantastic but the customer service once you have a problem is not good. I was told in person and on the phone that we would get a refund and nothing for weeks. Pros: One out of the two guides was interesting and dynamic. Nashville is a cool city and is beautiful. Cons: One of the tour guides was meh. Nice enough but low energy and too quiet. We went painfully slow the entire time. This is my 5th Segway tour in different cities and I have never gone this slow. Boring! We paid for a 2.5 hour tour that started at 1:30pm. The website said the first half hour is training. However, there were 12 people on our tour so training actually took 48 minutes so we didn't start riding until 2:18. Then we got back to the shop at 3:47. Which actually meant that we only took a 1 hour and 29 minute ride. So basically they cut 25% off our ride. When I questioned it, the guide just said training went long and we saw everything there was to see on the tour. The whole thing was pleasant I guess but super underwhelming and pretty disappointing. read more

I was treated to this tour by my visiting cousin. Absolutely loved it. Honestly, I was very nervous because I know how downtown is (being local) but the Segways are very easy to use, intuitive even. This was my first time on a Segway and it was easy to pick up. This was a good tour because it took you to the outskirts of downtown more which I had not seen. The tour guides had a lot of energy and it felt personal since it is small groups(less than 10 people). The tour guides were not super knowledgeable on the city but it is more about the Segway than learning about the city. The safety at times is a little questionable(sometimes you are on sidewalks, sometimes roads or trails) but it is fine. Also keep in mind that you have to be 12 to do this tour. Great customer service if you need anything. Overall I would recommend this to anyone visiting Nashville looking for something different. read more

Our group of three people went on the 2:30 PM iRide Segway tour of Nashville on June 22. We are experienced Segway riders and this was my 8th tour. We really enjoyed the tour. The weather was great at a cool 75 F for a June afternoon. iRide has the original-style Segway with the large wheels which is what we were hoping for. Some places have the smaller hovercraft type wheels which we do not like. Paul was our host and Brett was his assistant. There were three others in our tour and they had never ridden a Segway before. Paul had us watch a 9-minute safety vehicle. Then he had the three of us show that we were comfortable on the trainer Segway. Then Paul and Brett took their time to get the other guests up to speed on the vehicle. We set off for a 1.5 hour tour of the downtown Nashville area departing from their 6th Avenue North location. The first thing that we all liked was that they had a walkie talkie on each Segway so we didn't have to strain to hear Paul as he made his commentary. This is a big plus! On past rides we sometimes had a hard time hearing the guide. Paul was very knowledgeable about the Nashville downtown and area. He provided continuous commentary and safety tips along the entire route. He also has a few corny jokes particularly the Willie Nelson one. Brett was the safety officer who went into intersections to make sure traffic stopped when we were crossing busy intersections. We stopped halfway through the ride for a 10 minute break. This is where we got a group photo taken with the Nashville skyline dominated by the AT&T building. The only suggestion is to maybe add a second feet break about 70 minutes into the ride. We have taken Segway tours in other cities and have always found them to be very informative. Lots of history about the city with local interest and fun stories mixed in throughout the tour. Unfortunately, we both finished the tour having felt like else had gone on a Segway ride as opposed to a tour. To be fair, the guides were talking over the hand held walkie-talkies but It was very difficult to hear most of the time. Other tours use headsets that definitely improve the overall experience. Guides were very nice but just not informative. Segways were in good condition. Helmets were clean. Offered bottled water for free. read more

The segway training was great. I felt very comfortable after Jacob's instructions. Unfortunately about a third of the way into the tour, the Nashville heat and humidity proved too much for me. Jacob took extremely good care of me and called a Lyft ride for me back to my car. If I am ever back in Nashville in cooker weather I will certainly try again with iRide!!! read more

Also both guides ( Mary and Buffy ) had a bit of an attitude about people not stoping for the group instead of managing the situation. My Dad and I decided to do a last-minute day trip to Nashville and we wanted to try something new and fun. We settled on a Segway tour with iRide Nashville, which got great reviews and looked quite interesting. I prepaid our tickets online and we arrived for the 1:30 tour around 1pm. Brett greeted us and we went inside to start learning about how to ride a Segway. There was a short video and then Brett gave instruction on safety and how to ride/navigate. We then each got to hop on the Segway and try ourselves. He did not rush anyone and gave great tips on how to maneuver. Brett was very positive, funny, and encouraging--even for hesitant riders. The group then set off on the tour, which lasted about 2.5 hours. We started in a busy part of Nashville but quickly navigated to more quiet parts of the city. Brett used a headset and walkie talkies to communicate with us. The group consisted of six riders and was not at all overwhelming. As we rode through town, Brett pointed out landmarks, restaurants, and historic points of interest. He mixed this with history and interesting facts. Brett was a riot--He was naturally funny and very engaging. He made sure we all felt good about our trip and frequently checked in with everyone on how they were doing. Very considerate! Before I knew it, the tour had ended and we were back at the shop. My Dad and I had a great time and left with some nice memories of Nashville. I would definitely recommend iRide Nashville. The tour was great and Brett was a hoot and a half. A must if you are looking for something unique to do while you are there. This was an amazing tour! The two tour guides are hilarious and knew how to keep our diverse crowd entertained. I was worried we would ride down Broadway getting in the way of all the tourists. That was not the case at all. We rode around the town on small to medium sized streets totally out of the way of cars and pedestrians. This was the first thing we did in Nashville and it helped us plan the rest of our vacation. If this is the first time you are traveling to Nashville, I highly recommend this tour. It was our first time on Segway and we had so much fun, we had training for the first 30-40 minutes inside the shop then we starting heading to the street, you have the ride in the busy streets for 5 -10 minutes till you get to the quite ones. It might feel scary and awkward first, but after the first 5 minutes you feel more confident. Don't expect to get a good sightseeing tour because, first they try to avoid busy streets, second it is hard to concentrate on riding the Segway " especially if it was your first" and listening to the guide, finally, you hear through a walki talkie which is not really clear. Took a group Segway tour last summer around the fourth of July. It wasn't my first time so I was more experienced than others in my group but the guide made the video and lessons bearable even for someone who didn't really need it. Our guide was fun but I have definitely had better guides in other states that have been more lenient and fun overall. The tour was incredible and you definitely got to see all the high points of Nashville. I liked how they gave each of us walkie talkies so we could hear our guide as we were moving, you definitely learn a lot about Nashville and the areas you pass. I just wish our guide would've been more personal and chill but that is just my preference. Definitely no complaints overall. I'll be coming back this summer to do another tour. read more

My daughter convinced me to do a Segway tour whilst here on holidays and I'm glad she did! We chose the one hour tour and found it great. It was just the two of us so we were lucky enough to have an almost private tour! Our guide, Patrick, was great. He was friendly and informative whilst on the tour and had a great sense of humour. The training at the start was informative and uncomplicated and took part inside so was relaxing. When out on the tour we covered the essential spots and also saw some great parts of town we probably would have missed. I found this experience amazing and very unique and actually quite relaxing and easier than I had imagined. I went on a tour today with some fiends and was absolutely blown away by how amazing our guides Brett and Eddie were. I did not hydrate well for a hot summer day and hit a point where I needed to sit down and cool off. They immediately came over to check on me and were so patient and kind as I cooled down. They made sure to get me an extra bottle of water and kept me company while I rested in the shade. They checked in on me throughout the rest of the tour and made sure I was doing ok. Even after the tour was done they got an ice pack to help me cool down and a fresh bottle of cold water to help rehydrate. The tour and sights of Nashville were great but I can't commend these guys enough for how amazing they were for going above and beyond!
