This restaurant was one of our favorites but not anymore. The beer is good. Burgers are good. Reuben's are great. Stay away from seafood. My salad with added scallops for $16.00 had three shriveled, overcooked frozen small scallops. They are close to the ocean. Seafood should be fresh. Take pride in what you serve! read more

We came here for lunch and had a good experience. Everyone enjoyed their meals, my only comment would be the broiled fish sandwich did not have a lot of flavor. It was a piece of mahi mahi so without much seasoning it is not a fish with a lot of flavor. For dessert we had the key lime pie and it was divine. I would highly recommend saving room for dessert. We had a party of 47 people after our kids' baseball tournament today, and everything was amazing! The food was incredible, and the service from Chelsea and Haley was absolutely impeccable. I called last minute this morning, and they accommodated our large group with no issues at all. We truly appreciated how smoothly everything went. I am going to start with... I don't write many reviews. I think this is my 5th. I just had dinner at this location and value for quality and quantity is grossly off. $15 for "Loaded" Pretzel bites netted me 10 Pretzels about the size of Combo's snack food, with the most meager drizzle of Queso and what can only be described as 1/4 of a bacon bit (not strip just a bit). They swung and missed on Quality that could have easily been made up for in Quantity or Price. For an Entree I had Blacked Fish Tacos. 2 tacos arrived and were given far more attention than the pitiful attempt at an appetizer. Even at that they were just "ok". Coupled with their Stale Tortilla Chips and about a tablespoon/tablespoon and half of Salsa all with another $21. Beers were priced where they should be, so that was nice. The waitress did what she could to help the fact the kitchen was extremely slow for the app and meal. (For reference the tables around me came in after, ordered after, got food before, paid and left BEFORE I got the Pretzels.) I have eaten at this location before, but it was around Xmas time. It was really nice and the food was better. Maybe it is just this time of year? I like the Lewes location and the only issue I have ever had there was waiting for a table. Had a fun meal tonight at Irish Eyes in Milton before attending a show at the Milton Theatre. Service and food were great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We go here often because it's always a fun place to eat with good food for everyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I want to point out that I was very happy to see that the Milton location still offers a Beyond Burger. My go-to dish at both the Milton & Lewes restaurants was always the Burger Bowl with the Beyond Burger ( and I get it without cheese). It seems that recently, the Lewes location has decided to eliminate the Beyond Burger from their menu. As a vegan, that leaves me little to eat at that location. I like both restaurants, so I really wish the Lewes location would reconsider and put the Beyond Burger option back on the menu. I'm a really good customer, and I am sure that I am far from the only vegan in the area. And when I go out with friends, we chose a place where we can all get something to eat. We would all like to go to the Lewes location sometimes. read more

Try to eat here every time I'm down in Milton. Almost always order the same thing because I absolutely love it: the fresh catch sandwich with blackened Mahi Mahi (usually the Fresh Catch fish special) with a side of terrific potato salad. I've also enjoyed their burgers and, of course, their yummy soups. Came here a few times in the mood for finger foods. Had their nachos and their tuna w/wonton chips (not at the same time, lol). While visiting Milton I had dinner here. I had the crab cake dinner. Two delicious perfectly cooked crab cakes with mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. Service was very good. Place was jammed. We wandered by this beautiful restaurant yesterday, and decided to come by for lunch. We started with a dozen oysters, and I ordered the corned beef and cannage, while my partner got a Mahi sandwich with a side salad. Oddly, the side salad was the first thing to come out, long before the oysters. The oysters were not that good, and very poorly shucked (still attached, one on the wrong half of the side, and drained of any liquid). They also didn't seem very fresh -- considering the area, that's shocking. They were served only with cocktail sauce and saltines. The crackers were actually stale. Lol. The corned beef was fairly good. Great flavour, good portion with a huge chunk of cabbage and a good portion of potatoes. It was a little drier than I prefer, but not bad. The Mahi sandwich was okay, but not good. A bit bland and dry, but passable. It really needed some kind of sauce. Although I would utterly avoid oysters, overall, not bad, but not great, particularly considering the price point. Probably wouldn't give it another try. read more

Kind of expected more from this place. My meal was good, but nothing extraordinary. The chicken and the pineapple salsa were good, but the coconut rice was kind of dry and could have used a sauce. The meal also came with another side, and I chose the Caesar salad. It came out much later than my entree (I had to ask for it multiple times) and it was not a good Caesar. The dressing was only on top of the salad, which I wasn't expecting. The restaurant itself was nice and had good atmosphere, but I'm not sure if I would return. read more

Have to say went to Irish Eyes in Milton and they get it right. Hostess greeted us as we walked in and sat right away even though they were pretty busy. The serve stopped by, said she be right with us and she was, very pleasant. We ordered our cocktails and beer and they came right away. They have several TV's in the dining area so you can keep tabs on your sporting games; only complaint is that the fans are on and it can get cool. We ordered a few apps, all good dumpsters as a special; tuna wontons ( I could have used some wasabi), soup was tasty from what I heard at the table. The burgers, they got the temperatures right, a well, a medium and a medium rare; I did like that. The fish and chips had a nice crust and the other guest really enjoyed it. The server was there to please us, extra napkins, tartare sauce, lemons etc. It's a nice neighborhood spot; you know what you're going to get for the price. read more

I went to the jazz fest this past weekend, then stopped in for a few drinks and some food. I sat outside and ordered a drink , which I got kind of. The biggest issue was I then waited for about 35 minutes to get something to eat. A no show @ 35 min got me to leave. I was going to wait though and see how far the time would up , but that timed me out. I then went up to the person working the back outside and let them know. I'll say they did seem a bit shocked about it, but I was out of there. I paid for my $12 drink and off I went. Irish eyes in Lewes has one rude and unpleasant staff member. most other staff members are pleasant. but it takes only one to ruin your experience. food is average. I used to go there for music and ambiance of being near water . But not worth dealing with their rude staff . they need a training course for how to be hospitable to their paying clients. and not have people who work there with a chip on their shoulder . may be that rude staff member is an owner of the place . but still has no right to be downright rude for no reason whatsoever. basic courtesy and manners were absent read more

Cute atmosphere! Our waitress was sweet. Not her fault. I won't ever go here again. The nachos were soggy and cold. The white cheese sauce was gross. We paid $6 extra for bland chicken. The wings were dry and cold and we asked to crisp them up and they were better. The pickles were cold but the sauce was good. Find somewhere else for the price and quality. The service is terrible and the food is sub par. Think sad cafeteria. Salad drowned in too much dressing. Chicken breasts over cooked. Only 3 of 4 entrees made it to the table. Yes, 4 entrees on the final bill which took a life time to get and then another decade to correct. The waitress double parked in our car because she was late and lazy. We came here later on a Sunday afternoon. They'd just wound down from a busy Sunday brunch/lunch crowd. We opted to sit outside. Our server greeted us quickly and happily. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Crab pretzel was so good. Irish Eyes is apparently the place to hang out while in Milton. I mean my friend owns a home there and we were visiting so we decided we would take their word for it and go here for dinner. Bar in the back, restaurant in the front. Plenty of parking. The bar area is okay and they have a decent number of beers to choose from (except they were out of a few...on a busy Saturday night). The restaurant area feels like someone's living room but there's plenty of space. They had a DJ by the small dance floor but instead of playing recent hits (which most bars/restaurants like this would) he played hits from the 70s and 80s (more like a karaoke theme minus the actual karaoke). He did say he was just messing around but we were there nearly two hours and nothing changed. Food menu has a lot to offer which makes me nervous since I prefer places with a smaller menu that makes everything well. I had the crab cakes which comes with the daily veggie (brussels sprouts) and the daily starch (baked potato). The crab cakes were delicious and had almost no filler. The baked potato was standard. The brussels had been steamed to hell and back and were as mushy as baby food. The bill was cheap which is nothing to complain about. Tons of people knew each other since Milton is a small town. Kind of a Cheers feel to it where everyone knows your name. Maybe I would come again just for a drink and skip the food. read more

This establishment may be a fine place for a happy hour with friends; But do not count on exceptional food. We bikes from Lewis to Milton to actually go get a beer at Dogfish Head brewery. Place was closed so we ended up here at Irish Eyes and it was exactly what we needed. Perfect smiokehouse chicken sandwich and great burger, perfectly cooked. Their French fire are crispy and even served with my favorite, a side a vinegar. Service is crudely and patio overlooks a nice park. The one missing star is because there are WAY TOO MANY flies. read more
