I love coming to OTP! I enjoy coming here every few months and honestly if it were closer to me I would go more often. It's located in St. Mary's in the quaint scenic town of Leonardtown. OTP has their own parking lot and there's also lots of street parking. The fills up fast on the weekends but there's plenty of seating in the main dining area, a separate dining area, and covered outdoor seating as well. I've loved almost everything I've tried. Last night I ordered the chicken tenders, a simple win . The bbq flatbread is definitely one of my favorites and highly recommended. The chicken pesto sandwich is also A1, and a great portion size. The bar tenders are always friendly and service is always great. I have never had a bad experience here. Great local spot and definitely another hidden gem of Southern Maryland. Went in on a Saturday evening. They had a guy playing acoustic music and the place was pretty packed. Lots of TVs so it's a good spot to watch multiple games. This place was good, but LOUD! The tables are close together and you hear everything. That said though, it's easy to see why this place is so busy. Drinks are always flowing and the food is tasty. It's the Pub. The go to local spot for beer and wings. Their new outdoor area is fantastic, and has heat and fans so available year round. They're known for their wings, and they are good, but the price increases over the last few years are a tad insane -- especially when you can get the same wings for cheaper at Action across the street ‍. We had lunch on the covered patio during beautiful Saturday afternoon here. Nice to be able to sneak in a. little college football on the outdoor Tv. Service was speedy & efficient. Found this place just driving through Leonardtown, and it was great. I ordered the shrimp tacos, my wife ordered the fish & chips, and both were very good. Decent selection of beers on tap (I like IPA's, and they had a pretty good one, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA). Lots of tv's on football, as it was just before the NFC Championship game and one of the local teams (Washington Commanders) is in it, so it was pretty busy as well. This is an often-packed pub in Leonardtown that boasts dozens of screens to watch the game and a tap list and menu to round out a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, and even my neighbors at the bar were up to chat with a stranger (new in town and checking the place out solo). I tried the pretzels and a pint. Both were tasty. The fare is fairly common bar food selections. I had a filling snack and drink and out the door for under $20, so the value is there too. I like the surroundings of the new construction with lots of wood and spaces indoors and out. Parking might be a little tight on game day but spilling out onto the street won't be an issue. Utterly pathetic. Service was lacking, had to keep calling for help. $9 for a Guinness is ridiculous. And a 2.5% surcharge on bill without notification or posting to public is highway robbery. Hubby got the chicken quesadilla with extra sour cream. I got the blackened salmon sandwich. Mine was dry, overcooked and NOT blackened. I thought it came with garlic aioli. Guess the kitchen forgot. Mine was plain. The lettuce was green leaf but it was still wet from washing. It was edible but nothing to write home about. Hubby had half his quesadilla. With difficulty we finally got our server back. The one chick with glasses has a serious attitude problem. She made it feel it was an effort to stop and listen to us. We live an hour away so we stopped for ice cream (we BOTH shared the ice cream). We just got off Harry Nice bridge when hubby pulled over and began violently vomiting. I drove him while he had chills, complaining about his heart racing. He was shaking and having hot & cold flash's while sweating profusely. I barely got him before the "back end" started exploding. Now it was the 2nd meal of the day his medicine for Parkinson's causes loss of appetite. It was a textbook case of food poisoning. I called the pub to inform them and the girl who answered said "well, no one else has complained." Your lack of compassion or interest in your customer's health and experience is mind boggling beneath contempt. Definitely one place to avoid. Whether you're doing takeout (avoid Friday / Saturday nights unless you are ready to wait past your estimated pickup time - the kitchen gets backed up), eating under the tent, or eating inside, you won't be blown away by the food but you'll be satisfied. The beer selection is the real story... for the area, it's pretty good! This is the business bar in Southern MD. Food here is really good, I love the steak and cheese with tots. Can't go wrong with the wings. Amazing selection of beers on Tap and the bartenders are pros. The recent renovations have made the chances higher of finding a seat on busy nights but that can still be a challenge. Same good ole SOMD boys sitting at the bar every day. Prices have skyrocketed over the years which is common with inflation but this place has raised the prices a bit more than others in the area. Wing night isn't the deal it used to be. Overall still like this place just visit a little less often than usual. Avoid peak hours. read more

We were staying in southern MD for a few days (had never been there before), and most of the notable restaurants we tried were on Solomons Island, but we wanted somewhere different. We drove to Leonardtown on a whim - the town is cute, the wharf has ice cream!, and this restaurant is really cozy, friendly and delicious. This restaurant said we are unable to serve the children the food because of health code regulations and really, what about all the cakes for birthday parties that people bring into the establishment. My husband and I really enjoy coming here when we visit my parents who live around the corner. The drinks are good, prices are fair, and as far as bar food goes, this place does really well. We usually always get an order of dry rub all flats wings to enjoy together while we drink and chat. It's always busy here! A good mix of people, but it looks like it draws mostly people in their mid 20s-40s, with a few older people popping in from time to time. The staff drinks are enjoyable. We enjoy the jungle juice drink and if you are like me and enjoy banana, the watercooler is a fun drink. The staff are pretty friendly. Being that we're on our to St Mary's from DC serves as a nice place to stop. My husband was pleased with his 'mega' glass of wine (Johnny Depp trial watchers will know what I mean). He tasted several before choosing one, always nice. He didn't rave about his dinner, blackened salmon, but he wasn't disappointed. His take was that the fish needed a touch more seasoning and the blackened part was no where to be seen. Salads were good. We are new to the area and we were really excited to try out this local restaurant. They looked very busy on a Thursday night so my husband and I decided to call ahead to check on seating. Word for word, "Hi I was calling to see if there were any tables available for two adults and an infant" was met with the response of, "Yes we have tables available for you guys! Come right in!" My husband and I arrive with our one year old daughter only to be told they do not have any booster seats/high chairs. Twice I've ordered "Fish & Chips" and twice the meal was not fit to eat. Both times the fish came to the table looking like it was overcooked. And the fish, instead of being moist and tender, was dry and unappetizing. I'd stay away from this meal. Go with the Strawberry Cobb Salad. That Cobb is a fine meal, indeed. read more
