Iron & Steam is the closest dry cleaners to my apartment. Did maybe 5-10 orders there. But it was weird -- all my my dark shirts started coming back with large white spots under the arms. On each order. And in many cases new shirts. I've been getting my clothes dry-cleaned for decades at various spots around the country and never had this problem. And I changed to a new dry cleaner and no longer have this problem. I think that maybe they have some weird soap combination that doesn't mix well with sweat or deodorant residue. I never complained about it. I thought at first it was just me, like maybe I was sweating more than usual or something. I'm not mad at the dry cleaners. I've been going here for about two years now and regularly leave a bunch of clothes for dry cleaning on every week or every other week. I have to say that the quality of their service is excellent. I bring them dress shirts with regular and french cuffs, sweaters, trousers sports coats and jackets (I live between Miami and NYC areas). Everything is neatly hung and men's dress shirts always have broad adhesive collar stiffeners and placeholder cufflinks. I trust them with a mix of cheap and not-so-cheap designer clothes and have never had an issue after probably bringing them 500 pieces. Clothes are always delivered on time and they keep your card on file, so you're literally in and out of there in 30 seconds. My only slight criticism would be their pricing, which I believe is high, even by NYC standards. However, I guess you get what you pay for. I made the mistake of going to another local cleaners one day because Iron & Steam was closed...all I can say is that I regret it and will never stray again. read more

I recently moved to Wynwood and was searching for a place nearby. Kind of crazy that a mile from my apartment in the heart of Wynwood is the nearest "decent" dry cleaning place but c'est la vie. I've used Iron & Steam twice now, and each time its been the same result: 1) Clothes come back great. 2) Prices are reasonable. 3) They deliver but clothes come back late by 2-3 days. 4) Neither time am I notified or updated about when they would arrive. So if you need something quick, probably search around and go elsewhere. If you have time on your side and live in a building that do an effective job holding items at the front desk that you may not be expecting (since they won't tell you when they'll arive), then this place is for you. This dry clean in Miami is a HUGE RISK to your clothes!! Never trust them! They damaged 4 items (not 1, 4!!) that I sent and didn't take any responsibility! The responses and attitude from the Manager there is the worst experience. The Manager will try to insult your intelligence with her excuses to avoid accepting any responsibility. We have recently moved from LA and have been using this Dry Cleaning service in Edgewater.. was good in the beginning, for 4-5 months. We started to notice how long the items took to return... this problem persisted and we contacted them many times... Phone calls and speaking to management never resolved anything.. well in past 2-3 months we have not received at least 6 or more items back!!! This place is great and affordable for the area. But my one issue is their hours. During COVID they changed and now I have no idea when they are open or closed. Online and yelp say 7am.. I think they don't open until 9am. Don't know if they are open on weekends. And I think they close at 5pm. So the only time I have to pick up clothes is during 9-5 M-F? When the first returned it after almost 4 weeks the carpet came back unwashed. After they picked it up and kept again for three weeks, the carpet was returned ruined, and wouldn't lay flat. When I called them and asked them to simply not charge me for the service- since I now had to either replace it or pay $600 for a restoration service and they refused to address the issue. I brought 2 items in to be mended; one with a broken strap, the other with a zipper I thought was beyond repair. Both are now good as new!
