Electric brake wires installed by Iron Bear were cut by the movement of my trailer while I was on the highway. And this was the first time I had used the trailer since Iron Bear did this work. UNSAFE WORK. On Sept. 11, 2019 I paid Iron Bear Trailer $1,284.06 to install electric brakes on my boat trailer. I was planning a 1,000 mile round trip from Denver to Bear Lake, UT the following year (2020) and I wanted to make sure my trailer was good and safe. This was the first trip I made with the trailer b/c I have been working on the boat in preparation for this trip. Everything worked fine with the trailer and brakes until about mile 900 of 1000. My brake controller started flashing "nc" meaning "not connected". It was night time. I pulled off the highway and unplugged the trailer, and plugged it back in. The trailer lights worked but my brake controller continued to flash "nc". I could tell the brakes were not working b/c the boat was pushing on my truck when I slowed down. I cautiously drove the rest of the way home. The next day in the light I examined the wiring and discovered what you see in the pictures. The brake wires were run directly between the frame of the trailer and the U-brackets that hold the axle to the leaf springs. Some bumps in the road must have bottomed out the leaf springs, pressing the U-bracket up against the trailer frame and crushing / cutting the brake lines. Unbelievable. Unsafe. Now of course the leaf springs on my trailer bottoming out is a sign that my trailer suspension needs work. However, I wouldn't think a shop like Iron Bear would fail at running wires for such a simple job. FAILURE. I will be re-connecting and re-routing my own brake wires, and I will never go to Iron Bear Trailer again.

Brad is the man! This is a extremely professional staff you're dealing with. It's never going to be cheap to service equipment but at least with this crew you're going to get absolute quality. I did some awesome upgrades to my trailer here. The parts staff is very knowledgeable and also had a axle lift install done. Here's the facts. I've put over 4000 miles on my trailer after the work iron bear performed. Only thing one small issue with my axle which could have been a combination of bad seals and user error on my part, nonetheless Brad and the team made it right immediately. If you're looking for a shop to become a lifer customer, you need go no further!

This is absolutely the best place you can go to get trailer parts. I had the pleasure of dealing with Merle who put my brake package together for me. I left knowing I got the best price and advice for my travel trailer brake upgrade. Thank you again Iron Bear Trailer!!!

HUGE shoutout to Steven and Iron Bear Trailers for hooking us up today with exactly what we needed. They were extremely helpful with determining what would be best for our trailer. We are from out of town and needed a custom order, they were understanding and managed to accommodate us in just hours. Beyond that, their service and generosity were unmatched. Please check these guys out for any trailer needs. They are reliable and very knowledgeable about their craft. Not to mention, Steven, at the age of 12 is unbelievable with customer service and went above and beyond to take care of us and every task that we threw at him today. Very respectable family business.

We had a trailer axle blow out between Cheyenne and Denver. We found Jim's online and called. He had what we needed and offered to stay after closing to wait for us to get there and get the part. The welder even stayed late and welded the parts we needed. We REALLY appreciate their kindness!! We would have been stuck all weekend with out them.

Brad expertly customized the tongue on the trailer to swing, increasing its strength and making storage much easier.

Poor Customer Service - Won't Be Returning…read more Ladies, if you're looking for good customer service, this is not the place. I purchased a windshield wiper blade from this O'Reilly location about three weeks ago. Today, I tried installing it myself but couldn't get it on properly. I returned to the store -- which wasn't busy at the time -- hoping for some quick assistance. Instead of being greeted, I had to interrupt "Sheila," who was watching something on her phone. I explained the situation, and her response was, "They shouldn't have let you walk out without installing it for you." I asked if she could help me, and she followed me out to my car and said, "Give me a minute." Several minutes passed. I went back inside and found her helping other customers, with no explanation or follow-up. No one else offered to help, either. Frustrated, I left and drove to South Denver Automotive Garage -- not even a mile away -- where someone kindly installed the wiper blade in less than five minutes. I'll be taking my business there from now on. This O'Reilly location has lost a customer.

I was happy to do it myself in their parking lot but needed a wrench or pliers. They say they will lend you the tools, but they did not have a ten mm wrench to loan me. Nor did they have a pair of pliers. So I returned the battery. They have a ridiculous set of priorities in my opinion. They lost a $160 sale because they did not have a $5 pair of pliers available. What a way to run a business!! Other auto parts chains are happy to install a battery for you - and I am heading to one of those.
