Great people, went on a Monday evening and met a small group of regulars, barkeep Elise, and the owner Doc. Really friendly crew and great beers. We enjoyed every drink we got, but our favorites were The Red and Dark English Ale - a mix of both was really excellent. Highly recommend the brewery or the barrel house, especially for the house beers. Would absolutely go back. Pro tip: Doc grills delicious entrees on Mondays at the brewery. read more

Enjoy checking out the local craft breweries whenever I am somewhere new. The choices of beer were nice and varied. I tried several and enjoyed almost all but that all comes down to personal taste. The Tuna No Crust was such a SOLID IPA that I left with a 4 pack. The bartender was very friendly and engaging. The ambience and decor was very warm and inviting with all the visual upgrades. We stayed at the starbridge suite and you can walk to this brewery from there. The outdoor area has the table spread out so people can maintain social distancing. They have a variety of options from ipa's to sours. I'm not a beer fanatic but the sour was really good. Highly recommend trying it. read more

So, I went back to my hometown in Corning, NY. We had several reunions and alumni in town. We always take the walk on Market st. And visit the pubs. We decided to stop in this bar called the Iron Flamingo. We wanted to try their craft beer. Well there were 5 of us. We went to the bar and ordered and were having a conversation and laughing like you do at a bar. The next thing I know we were being sshhhd. IN A BAR!! The DJ even asked to keep it down. Apparently it was trivia nite. On a night of so many people in town. We were cussed at and treated very poorly. The beer was also sub par. Told some local people and they said, yeah stay away from that place! Never been treated so poorly. Must have been having a million dollar tournament or something. They lost out on a lot of income. We're in Corning NY from Texas on vacation and stumbled across this bar as we were browsing about the town. They have a good selection of great tasting beers. We're partial to stouts and theirs didn't disappoint. Should they ever have food options they'd probably excel at that, too. We'll definitely be back while we're in town. read more

It was definitely on the list to hit while visiting my parents. Atmosphere - Small bar area with 8 taps. A small room near the entrance looks to be a cool hang out area with an oversized Jenga. There was also a standard size on in the game area. Food Drink - The point being here. I started with IPA, solid choice and not in your face. I wanted one more pint and could not decide between the sweet potato stout versus the mocha porter. He provided me with a sample of each to help make my decision. I went with the porter which had a great finish of chocolate. Service - Walked in and there one was one person at the bar. I guessing one of their regulars. He was pretty quiet. The owners were super nice and the dogs were adorable even though the little one wouldn't stop barking at us. Still cute. This is one of the bigger breweries in the area with seating and a 'game room' with Jenga. Lots of seating around the bar, in the game room and tons of space, they are dog friendly, someone had brought their huge dog in there and the owners were totally fine with it. They have pretzels and M&Ms to snack on.. these are the important things people. I don't believe their serve any kind of food, but you come for the beer not the food. I'm not a huge beer person but I loved the Mocha Coffee Porter, I bought a 6-pack to take home because it tasted so wonderful. Not too heavy but it was perfect for me. My main squeeze liked it but it wasn't his "omg" moment. He liked the atmosphere, the space, and he didn't think the beers were too bad either. Not one of his favorites in the surrounding area but it was definitely a place we would come back to and hang out for a beer or two. They did have a tour bus come through so they can handle that, the parking lot is decent and it's not hard to find. Take a trip out, it's definitely worth a visit. Great people. read more

Located right next to Staybridge suites, this is a cute, small brewery. Even better, it's dog friendly! My husband is the beer drinker and likes IPAs. I'm gluten free so not much for me but they did have wine. Lots of locals on a Friday night and they had live music which is a bonus on a Friday night! read more

My girlfriend and I couldn't decide whether to get the IPA (what i wanted) or the Blonde (girlfriend wanted) for the growler...So we settled on the Blonde. The owner watched this discussion and proceeded to fill the growler. Upon arriving at home and opening up the growler, we realized it was... the IPA. Will be returning. read more

Was in town for a long weekend. Had to check out Iron Flamingo because of it's name and great ratings. We were not let down, in fact this place exceeded our expectations! Loved the small bar and one on one experience with the brewmasters/ bar tenders! They were fantastic! They had an adorable little dog there too! Just wish this brewery was closer to home because it would definitely be my go-to-spot! They're Mocha Coffee Porter is superb and I had to leave with a six pack. Hard to find and stumbled across The brewery after I left the glass museum. Nice crowd for a Tuesday rainy afternoon in late August. Blonde ale very tasty. While all the beers are very good, the owner's wife and her son, Ben - the master brewer, went out of their way to make it an outstanding afternoon. Owners wife gave excellent recommendations on recreational activities for the area. Ben gave me a private tour of the brewing area. Nice to see a local entrepreneur and his family work very hard to develop their brand. Beer making is personal to them. I would definitely go back and look forward to seeing Iron Flamingo become increasingly successful and widespread. Thank you for the hospitality . read more

In Corning on a business trip brewery was directly behind hotel. Beer tasted awesome the owners were great to talk with good music and just a pleasantly nice place to stop for great beers. Co worker likes booze and they also had micro distillery vodka bourbon and local wines. Clean Fresh just an awesome place! read more

I had fun here while making my bar rounds in Corning. We enjoyed the owners, the bartender and the eclectic mix of people. I had an IF Red with a 4.6 ABV. My bf had the IPA. Iron Flamingo Brewery is awesome! The beer prices are cheap and the beer itself is extremely delicious. My wife and I loved the Coffee Mocha Porter so much that we bought a growler ($18 including the upfront growler cost). They have a game room with life-size Jenga and Connect 4. The bartender was extremely friendly as was the owner. Their dogs are so cute! read more
