This is the Iron District's first attempt of operating their own container kitchen instead of renting out the space. I assume that since it is the most hidden container on the campus, it might be a tad harder to rent because of visibility issues; but with the aroma coming off the grill it should do ok attracting customers to the back side of the complex. My $10 NKC BBQ Burger was large and lucious. A seasoned and smashed patty with bacon, pickles, mayo, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese and a couple of o-rings. I also added a $4 side of -O-rings with some house burger sauce for dipping. Rings were beer battered with a thick coating and and the sauce was thick and creamy - very nice on both fronts. Eager to try the Early Bird with chorizo and egg next visit. Best in the Northland? No. Solid and re-orderable? That's a big 10-4!

It had been a minute since we ventured to Iron District. But it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon so we decided to return. A lot of the businesses were closed so we decided to try the new guy on the container block-Iron Grill. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, salad, sides, and even a few dessert. I went with the Blackened Chicken sandwich-grilled chicken breast with pickles, lettuce, tomato, and Dijon honey mustard. I added bacon and Swiss cheese because I wanted a bit more boujee of a sandwich. It was freaking delicious! The blackened seasoning was on point. Not too spicy but full of flavor. The chicken was just a tad dry but still good. I probably wouldn't add the extras because it really didn't need it. My boyfriend opted for the Fried Chicky sandwich: crispy fried chicken breast with pickles, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I tried a bite and it was good, like a better McChicken. But the blackened was definitely my favorite. I would absolutely order it again!

I was cautiously optimistic when placing my order and have now upgraded to Total Enthusiast level. Lemme tell ya. There's a lot of people out there smashing burgers. This is one of the best I've had, and notable because now I understand what the others are trying to achieve. Pretty much now I'm going to be sad when everyone else fails to meet my now unrealistic expectations because this burger was just so darn delicious. Also notable: beer batter onion rings that weee perfectly coated and perfectly crispy. A must-visit. Find them in the back corner, near the sourdough bread spot.

Incredible amount and tasting food for a great price. Loved the onion rings and was so excited to see them on the menu since I can't eat potatoes. Food was prepared quickly and there was enough of a variety that our entire party ate there but ordered something different. I wanted to try the spicy sandwich but the staff were really open about it being hot so I went with something milder but no doubt just as enjoyable.

My husband and I came out to enjoy the beautiful weather last night at the Iron District. This was our first time trying Iron Grill. We ordered the NKC BBQ Burger, and the Chicken & Waffles. Our food was ready after a short wait. The burger was loaded with bacon, and onion rings while the chicken and waffles were perfectly savory and sweet. We'll definitely be back to try more.

They have a walk up window located inside The Commons. You just order at the window and they send you a text when it's ready to be picked up. Service has always been friendly and professional and I've never experienced a problem. The bread is unique. It's a Dutch crunch so it has a nice crunchy texture on top but the bread itself has a nice chew and holds up to whatever toppings you like. I personally favor the Crown Town club. It's a classic club sandwich-turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a chipotle mayo. I like to also add smoked Gouda because cheese improves everything imho. They also offer vegetarian options, hot sandwiches, chips, and cookies. I've honestly loved everything I've eaten from them over the years so you really can't go wrong. If you're at The Commons or even Cinder Block next door, definitely stop by and get something to eat. Highly recommend!

The options this place offers is appetizing. I really wanted 3 different sandwiches and finally settled on the Wagyu Nebraskan. The Dutch crunch bread is amazing! Now, this kind of bread is not for those with sensitive palates, meaning you might find it difficult to eat the crunchy top of the bread. You know, like when you eat dry crunchy cereal. But if you can take smaller bites, it's not as difficult to eat and it's so tasty! I'm a big fan. The meat was plentiful, the cheese was good, and the sauce was delicious. I enjoyed the sauerkraut as well. The sandwich just works really well together. I got a churro cookie and wow, that thing was amazing. I enjoyed every single bite and crumb of that big chewy delicious cookie. I need more cookie. And more sandwich. This place is yummy. And the location is just FUN!

They have self branded stuff like hoodie sweatshirts, coffee beans. Stopped here for lunch on the way from airport to hotel after reading some very positive reviews and I was not disappointed. Its a cute little store with very attentive staff and some special recipes. I got myself the Vegan burrito and the Matcha tea. The burrito had a soy churro, tofu, sweet potato, spinach and mustard sauce . It was very filling , and tasted so good that I was stuffing my myself even when my stomach was asking me to stop .... and then the cold Matcha tea- the tea was good but I needed it more sweetened . But, it made a good combination with my warm burrito. I was soo full, I skipped even supper.... I had to listen to my stomach sometime ! The curios on the wall are cute and tgey are for sale. Handmade by local artists, they make great souvenirs if only they had the one little word Kansas on them . One thing I found difficult, finding a cab at 3 pm. It took 20 min for the cab to arrive. Am not sure if it was the timing or the location. Best to go there in your own vehicle. Would love to come again if I am in the city.

I'm happy to report that The Little Store on Knox is THAT GIRL. Cozy atmosphere, tucked into the cutest neighborhood in the Northland, house made syrups, friendly service, patio seating, and excellent specialty drinks. Please go give them some love if you're looking for a way to support local business owners in KC. And I'd encourage you to do your research on those who used to be considered locally owned, that reality has changed pretty drastically in KC in recent years.

Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and our food came out quickly. I ordered a turkey club while my dad got one as well, and unfortunately we both had the same issue. The turkey was on the dry side, and it was sliced much thicker than I personally prefer. I tend to like a thinner deli-style sliced turkey, so it just wasn't my favorite sandwich. My mom ordered one of the salads though, and honestly it looked better than my sandwich. It was loaded with fresh toppings, and she said the ranch was excellent. If I come back, I'd probably skip the sandwich altogether and give one of the salads a try. Overall, I can definitely appreciate what they're going for. The prices are fantastic, honestly unheard of in present day, and that's the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. It's a true local spot, and I wouldn't mind giving it another chance to try something different from the menu.
