I read about them on wikipedia... and apparently Oklahoma was the first one to create them. they were made during the great depression, were the owner would mash onion with the beef patty to stretch out the meat.... and back then, burgers were 5 cents. Fast forward to almost 100 years later, my burger was about 11 bucks. Don't get me wrong, the burger was decently sized, but it was just alright. I mean, if i wanted to get an onion burger i could simply go to in n out and get a burger with grilled onions and raw onion as well. so, while the burgers were good, it didn't wow me and maybe it was too hyped up and it didn't live to its hype, is the reason i only gave it 3 stars. The fries on the other hand were great. The parking lot right in front is really small, but there are plenty of seats inside and outside.

I ended up throwing away the basket meal with more than half left. Luckily, the owner replied to my review to educate me that my perceived 1/3-pound patty was actually a 6-ounce patty. Clearly, I just failed to appreciate the massive 0.6-ounce difference in those measurements. Point well taken. Hats off, sir. I'll politely decline your offer to ask for you personally next time (trust me, I won't be back) so you can lecture me on which of your generous 6-ounce burgers I might actually like. Having spent 41 years on this planet navigating the burger wasteland unassisted so far, I'm optimistic I'll get the hang of it. If you could perhaps channel some of that energy into teaching the kids on staff, they could share your passion for aggressively explaining to patrons why they are wrong to call your product overpriced, inedible, and completely devoid of quality. Now that is the real community impact you are going for. I am overwhelmingly positive and forgiving in my reviews, but this is one of the rare exceptions where I dramatically underestimated how low a business's rating should actually go. If you want to pay an exorbitant price for a terrible burger, only to be told it was supposed to taste that bad on purpose, definitely give these guys a go.
