Wow! What a nice hidden little gem right off the 240 and May. We were on route back from Tulsa late and did not want fast food. I did a quick Yelp search and saw Perry's being open 24 hours Denny's style. We pulled up and the place looked kinda closed however there were a couple people dining inside. My expectations weren't high and I was just grateful I didn't have to eat at Taco Bell or any fast food for that matter. Oh my goodness, this place is absolutely comfort food heaven!! The prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. Loved the homemade ranch with our side salad, YUM!!!!! My roommate opted for the spaghetti and meat sauce was just like grandmas and my fried chicken was so crispy, tender and beyond flavorful!! This place is amazing and don't judge a book by its cover. Food was just ok cafeteria at best, the staff was split the breakfast shift there was a blonde lady working her but off and a dark haired woman sitting down openly berating other staff members to customers. Perry's is a gem- nothing says "America" like a good, old-fashioned diner! The restaurant features counter seating and booths. If you sit on the right side, you can watch the cooks and waitstaff interacting with each other, which is great entertainment sometimes. For anyone that's ever worked in a hometown diner, it's an awesome trip down memory lane, minus the secondhand smoke. The service is everything you'd expect from a diner- fast, accurate, informal, and your coffee cup will never go empty. The menu is typical diner fare- chicken tenders, pancakes, hash browns, burgers, salads, and fried appetizers. I chose a temporary break in veganism so I could indulge in some mashed potatoes and some (probably) vegan hash browns with tomatoes and onions. I was not disappointed. The hash browns were seasoned really well. The others in my party had some kind of chicken fried steak breakfast platter thing and pancakes with strawberry syrup and whipped cream on top. We were all really happy with the food. I'd recommend a trip here every now and then. It's a great experience, great food, and great prices. read more

My mom and I went to Perry's for breakfast. It's a diner in every way. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. The entire time we were there, people were walking in and greeted by name. It's very obvious that this is the kind of place that has a lot of regulars. To me that's a good sign. We ordered a very standard breakfast and the quality of the food was really good. I can't stress enough how nice the wait staff is. It's really hard to find pleasant people I believe because of how little they're paid for the work they do but these people were the exception for sure. I recommend this restaurant for breakfast and if or when we go back hopefully we can try the lunch or dinner menu. Restaurant has good food but the place is run-down terribly. Booth seats are torn up and you sink down in them. Service is ok. The problem I have is they inflate the bill. It happened once and we showed our waitress who corrected our ticket. It happened again today and now we know it is blatant. I feel sorry for the elderly customers who frequent this place and use their limited income to be cheated out of their money. I'm fairly certain most people just pay their bill expecting it to be correct. The first time was a 30% inflated bill. Ok, everyone makes calculation mistakes. This time it was a 25% inflated bill. After driving past this restaurant for the last few years, I decided to finally give it a shot. Being a 24/7 place, I can see myself returning in the future when there's not many other late night spots. Interior is extremely outdated. I literally don't care, but some people do. They aren't going for the fancy restaurant vibe. If you want quick, country food, this is your place. Because my friend and I are natural fatties, we wanted to try everything, but we limited ourselves to some appetizers and a sampler meal. We went with the fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, and Chicken Fried Steak. Fried mushrooms weren't great due to dirty mushroom taste and kind of boring breading. Mozzarella Sticks tasted very frozen and didn't even stretch as you'd expect hot, gooey mozz sticks to be. Also, we asked for marinara and got spaghetti beef sauce. Didn't taste bad, but we thought it was kind of funny. Chicken Fried Steak wasn't terrible but was definitely not great. Lame breading again, not a lot of meat and flavor, and was drowned in bad gravy. The eggs and hash browns were great. The pancakes, that I believe came with it, was simple and pretty much hit the spot. There was a hair cooked into one of my cakes, but hey, it's part of the experience, right? Overall, it wasn't a great visit, but it's simple and quick country food, open all the time and for a cheap price. I'll be back and may update this. read more

This is a fun little diner! This venue was chosen to host my weekly student supervision. They had no problem accomodating my group, and in an area we could talk and not be concerned about external eavesdroppers. The food looked good and tasted great! I had the taco salad bowl. We live nearby and I just got on my yelp app and this was the first thing that popped up so my husband and I decided to check it out. Of course I did a preliminary scan on Yelp to check out previous reviews and this seemed like a safe option. If one was expecting a fine diner with everything made from scratch one should not come here but if you want some fast breakfast food then this is the place to go. When we pulled up in the parking lot it seemed packed. Once we entered it seemed like ever booth and bar stool was taken up but we only waited about five minutes or so. Since it was busy the food took about 15 minutes but I have seen in previous review that it comes out faster. Food is your typical diner breakfast with myself getting biscuits and gravy with sausage and my husband getting the a3 which was the special of the day, consisting of eggs bacon and the short stack (two pancakes but huge!!) It's no ihop or Jimmy egg but we got our meal plus two orange juice for less than 15$! Definitely coming back to try other stuff. O this place is 24 hours too :) read more

Do not let the decor fool you. This place is far better quality than how it looks. The interior is terrible. It is in serious need of a remodel. It was very difficult for me to overlook the filth. HOWEVER, the food was so very good that I quickly forgot about the looks. The salad was drenched in ranch dressing and was so crispy fresh. The roll was perfectly crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. The food came out very quickly. That is usually desired, but in my case, I barely had two bites of my salad before my meal came. I ordered the hamburger steak with fries and let me tell you, those fries rained down from heaven. The hamburger steak was really good as well, but it needed seasoning. It was perfectly cooked and the brown gravy was excellent. I might eat here again because it was a lot of good food for a good price. I am not a girl that is above a cheap, greasy diner, so Perry's is a welcome sight. But do not come here expecting your next fancy AF brunch hotspot. It is vinyl and plywood and laminated tabletops central. Yoga pants and t-shirts are 100% acceptable attire. Whenever I visit my parents, they both enjoy it and it is rare that we all agree on somewhere to eat. The service is great, very polite wait staff and fairly quick. It can get busy, but they turn the tables over fast. The servings are HUGE and so inexpensive for the quanity and quality. The best things to order here are pancakes and biscuits. Homemade and fluffy and delicious! Perry's will definitely remain on our cheap, quick breakfast rotation. read more

This place is country. Super country. As Meg W. has mentioned, it's not the most attractive place, which seems to fit the super country vibe very well. Repeat visits have been delicious. For example, I believe it's Tuesday(s) when they have Chicken Fried Steak (+ two sides + salad/soup + garlic bread) for $7.00ish. You can't beat that bang for your buck(s), although you can definitely beat the greasiness of it all. But I'm assuming you don't go to a diner like this because you're wanting to watch your figure. Occasionally, (my friend and) I get stared down by some of the patrons. They look as if they would prefer a little more vanilla and a little less chocolate in the establishment. No that's wrong, I consider myself to be more amaretto than chocolate. Or it could be because I'm always dressed up when I walk in here. Either way, I get stared at. I stare back and smile; it makes them break eye contact. Recently I ordered a meal to go. I told them I wanted green beans, and a vegetable medley for my sides. The lady on the phone responded, "We don't have... Yeah, okay." I didn't think about this slip of the tongue until I got home, because when I opened the container, I found green beans, and mashed 'taters. What kind of tomfoolery is this? Yet, there was still enough food that I was left satisfied even without eating the mashed 'taters. Moral of the story: check your order before you leave. Cheap. Tasty. Greasy. 24 hours. Perry is a genius to have opened a 24 hour restaurant right by the college. They have nasty, greasy delicious damn food. I shared a plate of fried mushrooms with my pal and ordered the vegetable omelet with hash browns and sliced tomatoes (I do believe this was the only vegetarian option on the menu save salads and sides). I felt like total dookie afterwards because my dinner was so unhealthy but I spent $7. Fantastic. The inside is ugly as hell and they play terrible country music and we were seated near the bathrooms and the smell was a great reminder of that. It wasn't a nasty bathroom smell. It was a cleaner/cheap air freshener smell that loomed out into the dining area of the restaurant. We sat and studied for a few hours and had a great waitress plus a VERY filling and cheap dinner. The atmosphere is pretty terrible and makes you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere at a truck stop but it is well worth it. Especially if you are a student at OCCC you should make a trip to Perry's Restaurant at some point in your life and you most likely won't regret it. read more
