    Laying down waiting.

Got here at 7 and it's 10:38 and still waiting. I've been to others and it never took this long. Everyone is gone and the doc just taking his time. There are a lot more urgent care facilities. Last time I come to this one.

Outside of the building facing Brockton
    Sara S.

Looks and smelled like an animal hospital. Told I would see the doctor at 12:30, after already sitting in the waiting room for an hour. Finally moved to the exam room after 2.5 hours in the waiting room. Gave my medical history to the medical assistant and requested a walking boot or something easier to get around in other than the crutches I came in with and a doctors note for work. While waiting for the doctor, heard what sounded like another patient arguing with someone. Doctor finally came in and started screaming at me saying i just wanted drugs and I was wasting her time. I told her I just fell and I just wanted someone to look at my ankle and maybe get an X-ray. Overall just a rude doctor. Never got a walking boot or a doctors note, just accusations of being a drug user. Since then, my insurance has denied my claim and now I am required to pay $250, just to be yelled at by an incompetent doctor.

As a result, I was never seen by a provider and left without receiving any medical care. Instead of leaving with answers or treatment, I left with anxiety and feeling humiliated. As healthcare professionals, patients should be treated with dignity and respect. You never know what someone is going through or how difficult it may have been for them to seek care in the first place. I am extremely disappointed by this experience and will be speaking with management so this situation can be addressed appropriately. The attending ER physician offered me info for follow-up primary care at a local clinic. I did come to the Everwell medical office in Loma Linda, CA. THIS medical office * ACCEPTED my Medicare insurance, * Issued VITAL lab test requisition; * PROMPTLY followed up test results with three office visits, phone calls of test results and subsequently, via phone/text contact. AMAZING. NP/PA was thorough, specific, helpful, kind, caring about physical, emotional and spiritual health during appointments. Rare benefit today when time is often begrudged. My serious deficiencies have been identified and treated ONLY because the thorough ER physician cared enough to offer me info of THIS clinic AND this clinic's WILLINGNESS to provide care to someone with limited insurance. IMPRESSIVE. THEIR ACCEPTANCE of my sole (Medicare) insurance enabled authorized lab work and follow-thru to remedy previously unknown deficiencies. THEIR ACCEPTANCE, AUTHORIZATIONS, ACTIONS and ADVICE diverts me from definite complications and inevitable premature demise. Medical professionals have been consistently, entirely, thoroughly involved and accessible. Impressive. HEARTFELT APPRECIATION to this team of professionals and support staff who have correct priorities about health CARE.

Don't make any decisions based on what your hear in this office. My experience: After asking for immunization boosters for my daughter, they were able to fit me in a busy schedule. I appreciate that. We get checked into a room and things are moving smoothly. They prick my daughter's finger to test iron and give her a lollipop as a reward. No issues. Then I'm told that a full physical is necessary, even though I don't want it. I inform them that a full exam is not necessary, but they insist. A nurse comes in to administer a fluoride treatment, but instead proceeds to scold me about my daughter's eating habits because she was eating a lollipop. YOUR STAFF GAVE IT TO HER. Then to tell me that her unhealthy eating habits will lead to problems in the future. What bad eating habits??? You just walked into the room! Don't tell me my daughter is going to be pre-diabetic just because she's bigger than your kids were. Her grandparents are 6'3" giants and you're 5'2" so it makes sense she's bigger than your average kid. Then the shots FINALLY come in and it's like a contest of how to give my daughter an anxiety attack. No communication with my daughter, just instructions on how to hold her down. I try to offer an alternative and get shot down. "Hold her arms against her chest and pin her knees down to the exam table." Fine. I'm waiting for the nurse to prepare the shot, but she instructs to hold her down while she's preparing the shot. WHAT? You WANT my daughter to be uncomfortable and fight the restraints while you're preparing the shot? When the first shot happens my daughter is already in fight-or-flight mode. Shot number two and it's the same thing only doubled. Guys I've done this before and NEVER have we had to restrain my daughter like a psych ward prisoner. Maybe YOU'VE had a bad experience, but what does that have to do with my daughter? Add insult to injury, the immunization nurse asks about my daughter's dentist and I tell her we haven't seen one here because we just moved. Her response was "well, she needs to see a dentist because she has a lot of cavities". What?? Your expert medical opinion is that my daughter has cavities? You made this assessment while administering a vaccine? No, your a fear-mongering manipulator who is used to scaring people into submission and cooperation. The only way YOU might know about my daughter's teeth is if the previous nurse said something about the lollipop. But what purpose did that nurse have to share medical information about my daughter with a nurse coming in for immunizations? How would one thing affect the other? Is it NOT appropriate to share any medical information unnecessarily. I came in for a booster, came out with unproven/untested pre-diabetes diagnosis, cavities, oral infection, unhealthy eating habits with all the potential health risks... All of this from nurses who spent no time in the room at all with the doctor or the patient. Just a fountain spewing fear and misinformation. If you need medical clearance, immunization booster, or just a referral AND are okay with some misinformation, judgement, manipulation, and verbal abuse, this is the spot for you. As medical professionals, YOU should not be making false diagnosis or accusations. I feel so sorry for the unaware patients that step through those doors. Listen to the doctor. Verify every diagnosis/insult the nurses make with the doctor. Good luck.

THREE WORDS: GLORIFIED DRUG DEALERS…read more I left this urgent care extremely disappointed. My experience felt like the doctor's role was simply to write a prescription rather than actually evaluate my condition or discuss treatment options. When I asked questions and was looking for medical guidance, I didn't receive any meaningful explanation, opinion, or advice on what might actually help me recover. The billing experience was just as off-putting. I paid cash because I don't have insurance, and I felt like I was treated with suspicion because of it. Before I ever received any treatment, I was asked to pay multiple times and had a credit card terminal put in front of me at least three separate times. Instead of the typical process of receiving a bill or paying at the end of the visit, the focus seemed to be on collecting payment before providing care. If all you need is someone to write a prescription, this place may meet your needs. But if you're looking for a physician who takes the time to evaluate your condition, explain their reasoning, and provide thoughtful medical guidance, I'd recommend going somewhere else. I left feeling rushed, unheard, and no more informed about my condition than when I walked in.

My visit with Kandin Maraquin at MedCove Urgent Care in Upland was one of the most unprofessional…read moreand upsetting medical experiences I have ever had. I went to urgent care because I had pulled a muscle from excessive coughing. I had strained the back of my neck, had soreness in my chest area, and developed a sharp pain in my side. The pain had been present for several days, and I simply wanted a medical evaluation and possibly medication to help with the discomfort. Instead, what I received was fear, panic, and emotional trauma. Within minutes of speaking to Kandin Maraquin, I was told that I was having a heart attack. Not that it needed to be ruled out. Not that there was concern. I was told I was having a heart attack and needed to go to the ER immediately. If I did not have transportation, I was told an ambulance would be called. I was completely blindsided. What was most alarming was how quickly this conclusion was reached. I felt like he immediately jumped to the worst possible scenario without taking the time to properly evaluate me, ask additional questions, or perform a thorough examination. The entire interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and lacking any level of compassion. I was there less than 10 minutes.. His bedside manner was nonexistent. There was no reassurance, no empathy, and no concern for the emotional impact of what he was saying. It felt as though frightening a patient was of no consequence. I was visibly upset, terrified, and in tears, yet there was no attempt to calm me down or explain things in a professional manner. I left that office genuinely believing I was having a heart attack because of how aggressively and confidently it was presented to me. Even after an EKG at the office, did not indicate that I was having a heart attack, I was still sent to the emergency room. Out of fear, I followed the instructions and spent approximately eight hours in the ER. The outcome? No heart attack. No cardiac emergency. No life-threatening condition. The emergency room physicians determined that my symptoms were consistent with pulled and strained muscles caused by excessive coughing, including the muscles in my neck and chest area. After hours of fear, tears, anxiety, and emotional distress, I was told exactly what I suspected from the beginning. I understand that medical providers must be cautious when chest pain is involved. What I do not understand is how a healthcare professional can communicate in such an alarming, insensitive, and unprofessional manner. There is a significant difference between saying, "I want you evaluated further to be safe," and telling a patient they are having a heart attack before a thorough evaluation has been completed. No patient should leave a medical office traumatized. No patient should leave feeling like they were treated as an inconvenience. No patient should leave in tears because of the way a healthcare provider chose to communicate. My personal impression was that the situation was handled with poor judgment, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy. I left feeling that my concerns were not thoughtfully evaluated and that the provider was more interested in rushing me out the door than actually treating me. Patients deserve professionalism, compassion, and careful communication. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those things during this visit. This experience was frightening, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable. I would never return to this provider, and I sincerely hope management reviews how patients are being treated because no one should walk into an urgent care for a pulled muscle and leave believing they may be dying.

I showed her my incisions and explained I was post op and she said no you have to go to the ER. I can't drive so I have to wait for my ride. I'm not going to the emergency room to wait 4 plus hours and spend a $250 copay, take up a bed or room that someone else NEEDS it, or catch something like MRSA!! So I have to wait for a ride to go to ANOTHER urgent care in the morning. I have seen them (before now) take walk in patients at 9pm. The Previous night my mom went in for a cat bite and they needed to give her a tetanus shot but they were out. They told her come back tomorrow. My mom called and they didn't receive any in their delivery. My mom asked if they could call it into Walgreens and they said they don't do that. Told her to go to another urgent care or emergency room OR wait until Monday. We all know how hard it is to get an appointment to our primary doctor, so urgent care is needed. But the back and forth and another copay on a fixed income for something they were supposed to have or give is ridiculous. So my mom went to Walgreens to get her shot. On the paperwork they printed they didn't even say cat bite on it. They have really gone to CRAP! We won't be going to rain cross anymore, even the pharmacy has took a turn for the worst.
