I had a tasted for a good black and white cookie. Nothing notable in the part of Florida where I live, so when I ran across the ad for Brooklyn Delights I had to give them a try. I was worried about shipping from NY to FL, but their packaging ensured safe arrival. Sturdy boxes, cool packs, lots of bubble wrap. I decided to opt for the cheapest shipping, which took about 4 days to get here. But, upon arrival these hefty delicious cookies were in perfect condition, and were the best I have had. They have several other bakery products which I fully intend to try out in the near future. Highly recommended.

We recently came here for a Too Good To Go pickup. Inside is a small but sizeable warehouse full of delicious treats. A ton of women appear to work there which hell yes. Pickup was fast, especially since they don't have a true parking lot. This is definitely not a bakery setting. You go in, you receive a box of goodies to take home with you. The rainbow cookies are great! Very light but tasty! The black & white cookies are just as good and freshly made. read more

I've been buying the Italian Chocolate Chip cookies at Stop & Shop for over a year and recently the quality has gone way down. Some cookies have very few chocolate chips and others look not baked well and are very light in color. The taste is a little off too. Very disappointed as these cookies were a favorite. read more

My son is deployed and he requested I mail him black and white cookies in the next care package. I googled best NY black and white cookies and Brooklyn Delights came up. Not only were they so helpful, bubble wrapped the cookies and supplied me with a mailing box they would not take $ for the cookies. It's good to know there are kind and caring people in the world. I had a problem with the cake that I bought in the supermarket, and when I called the store, I spoke with Frankie. He apologized profusely and asked my address, and because we were so close he had a package of goodies sent to my house as a measure of Goodwill. I was very impressed!! I received a beautiful box of black and white cookies as a Mother's Day gift from my family back in Brooklyn. Now, I can't comment about their experience regarding placing an order, etc.....I can only tell my side. The black and white cookies I received were packed in two so it was really easy to share if I wanted to- not saying I did...but it's possible. There was a handwritten note with the cookies in a beautiful wood box. The cookies were delicious and really brought me back to Brooklyn every time I ate them. I got their blueberry muffins as part of my shop at home order from Shop Rite. These were awful. They had an odd taste and dense texture. There were only a few blueberries in the whole muffin and they were hard as a rocks .Took a couple of bites and tossed the whole box read more

Not Brooklyn Bakery quality in any way. As someone who grew up in Queens and lived in Brooklyn for five years before moving to Long Island I had high hopes for this bakeries products considering there isn't any quality Italian bakeries in my area. My mother-in-law who still lives in Queens actually bragged about how great the Crumb Cake is and the Black & White Cookies as well. I should have known better to purchase any other products after trying these two. So first off, the crumb cake tastes like plastic coated in fake sugar. Was AWFUL!! Now the Black & White Cookies - ever so slightly less gross. With these all you taste is fake sugar - no flavors at all, just sugar. Had a party for my daughter's 17th day last weekend, didn't have the time to bake lots of cookies, so I purchased the Italian Butter Cookies with Chocolate Chips and the Italian Butter Cookies with raspberry jam & dipped in Chocolate. OMG - maybe it's because I'm Sicilian and used to top quality but these are DISGUSTING!! No butter flavor, actually no flavor except sugar and the chocolate had this funky burnt plastic flavor. From now on, if I don't have time to return to the city for authentic Italian Bakery products, I'll have to find the time to make them homemade. This bakery is disgusting and it's embarrassing they try to claim the Brooklyn name considering the mass production factory is in Farmingdale read more

If I could give 15 stars I would!!! My daughters 11th birthday is in a few days and when I asked her what kind of cake she wanted, she told me "I don't want a cake, I want rainbow cookies." Specifically, Brooklyn Delights rainbow cookies. We live in Missouri but I am originally from Long Island. I was there a little over a year ago for my Godmothers funeral and when getting Italian treats to take home for my girls, my cousin brought me to Brooklyn Delights. She assured me they were the best, and she was so right. A month or two after that, I ordered black & white cookies and rainbow cookies for Easter and we had some happy kids! For the birthday, I ordered the cookies kind of late- my own fault, I was traveling for work all last week and totally spaced. I messaged the company on Facebook and they told me to call the warehouse when they were open. I called today and explained the situation and they took care of getting them shipped to be here on time AND wished my girl a happy birthday. I called with several questions recently and spoke with Frankie. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He answered all of my questions (I had several). lol I ordered the box of mini black and white cookies. I had them sent to my home and they then traveled to Spain with my son as a thank you gift for his host family. They have a great variety of items to choose from. I have ordered several gift crates as Christmas gifts and got rave reviews from the recipients. The store was as empty when we went in so it wasn't like he was busy trying to take orders quickly. We told the young man that we would be ordering a variety of butter cookies and he looked at us annoyed and continued to serve us with a similar attitude. I guess maybe this is the expected service from the generation nowadays? I just expected more from a place that appeared so charming. The rainbow cookies seem to have anise in it, which is a bit odd for a rainbow cookies, and the chocolate coating was not very cocoa forward. It was also lacking jam. We were also really excited about the chocolate sandwiched butter cookies, but while the cookie itself was fresh, the ganache was missing the rich chocolatey flavor. Instead, it almost tasted like carob or some sort of diluted chocolate instead. The cookies itself were also not buttery enough, though they did taste freshly baked. The staff assured us it would arrive early, around 11:00 a.m. However, by 1:00 p.m. on our wedding day, the cake still hadn't arrived. When we called the bakery, they told us they couldn't get in touch with the driver. It took another hour before they realized the driver never had the cake and that it had been left at the bakery the entire time. At that point, it was around 2:30 p.m. Not only was this incredibly frustrating, but it also caused unnecessary stress on our wedding day--something no couple should have to deal with. Unfortunately, we had to pick up the wedding cake ourselves. Since then, we've spent the past week trying to get in contact with someone to address what happened, with no success. I asked for the owner's phone number and left a voicemail two days ago, but still haven't received any response. Overall, this was a VERY disappointing experience. I would NOT recommend anyone to order from this bakery.
