I absolutely do of course but the staff is so nice - i would feel like tipping even if I was being charged I love the quaintness of the place too. Lots of seating, 3 large restrooms with furniture in them. Even though the place is relatively small. It's a must go!! I will be back

Not acceptable. If I perched on my seat and leaned over the edge of the balcony, I could partially see. Such a disappointment not to be able to fully enjoy such an exceptional performance.

For example, I had the pleasure of seeing Davis Gaines (of "Phantom" fame) in their production of "The Night of the Hunter." This was an original production, I believe, and unfortunately I've never seen it go anywhere (it was very good!). They also frequently display art and cultural exhibits that you can look at before the show starts and during intermission. Bathrooms are nice and clean, and the refreshments are reasonably priced. I find the theatre to be one of the most comfortable I've visited. Acoustics are great! We have season tickets and will continue to subscribe in the future. Community-produced, Broadway-quality!

My husband and I love and often quote the cult classic film, so I optimistically bought tickets through RCT website for the last weekend the stage production was playing. The theater is tucked into a rarely visited strip mall. There was lots of parking. The entrance lobby was quite plain, but spacious. At the end of the hall, we picked up our tickets at will call. Around the corner was a small concession stand selling cute, small buckets of old, stale popcorn, cookies, soda as well as beer and wine. The theater area has old cinema seats on a raked platform. You could clearly see the stage since the seats were well staggered so you weren't looking at the back of someone's head. Unfortunately , the seats never seem wide enough, and you always find yourself fighting for the shared armrest. At least the bottom cushion was supportive and comfortable. I could have easily sat there through both acts and the intermission. The cast was phenomenal! They sang beautifully, danced with decent precision, strutted around in some amazing costumes while taking us on a near perfect rendition of the actual movie. Lighting and background sets were somewhat limited, but what they had worked great and didn't detract from the show. The comedy was there and they even threw in a few extra jabs at local politicians to the delight of the audience. It appears they focus on some classic theater productions throughout the year. Shows that are known and loved by everyone (White Christmas, Annie, Mamma Mia, etc.). It seems like a winning formula that is working for them. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for another date night.

Its one of the few theaters that I will dress up for and has an open lobby area with a cash bar that is a fun and somewhat upscale space for conversation before the show which works nicely for your group to gather, converse, and socialize before the show. Addison restaurants are nearby but busy on weekends so do plan an early dinner between 5 and 6 as those restaurants are typically very busy on weekends. A plus is the "Stone Cottage" theatre in the rear which hosts a different theatre company and is which is rustic with often ribald works. There is also a large snd configurable separate meeting space which can be had for special functions or seminars. If you are into Architecture and you ever get the chance for a complete tour of the Water Tower theatre seize the opportunity because it is a very cool building with 2 levels below grade for costume and storage with three above that are absolutely amazing in how they are completely flexible for multi tier stage configurations and configurable seating tiers from several directions.

From the five mile glance, the theatre seems to do a really good job of choosing shows, hiring good actors, directors, and set designers, and overall produce good shows. I do take issue with the producer being in most of them, which I find distracting at best. The best place to sit for most shows is in either the front row or in the balcony. The rake of the audience is such that when you are three or four rows back in the orchestra area, you are covered by a sea of heads. Maybe a future investment could be more stacked seating to avoid obstructed views.

We were in the balcony, and our seats were about two steps away from the tech booth and five steps away from the band! I kind of liked it, it was like being right in the middle of the action. On the first floor, at the back of the house, there is a bar where they serve cocktails, beer and wine, as well as bags of chips and snacks. You can take them to your seat and enjoy them while you watch the show. The actors seemed really happy to be there, and the singing was excellent. We had a nice time, I would certainly come back for another show.
