Very upsetting with the quality of service over and over. They dont meet the scheduled service times set up. They techs are not through in their assessment of the problem and the repair stated was completed only to find it was not and had to call back and have it serviced again. Needed a part and urgency is not in their vocabulary. read more

I've had nothing but exceptional experiences with Isaac HVAC over the last few years. Tyler and Thaddeus are quality technicians and know their stuff. I do have their Gold Club service plan for my boiler, which has saved me a few thousand dollars in replacement parts and service calls since I purchased my home. I can't recommend that plan enough. They've always been prompt and I've never had to wait more than two days for service. read more

Called Isaac today to set up some emergency service. I was told that they would not service me because I was not a "Gold Member" what ever that meant. I told them I wanted to switch to them for my HVAC service needs how else could I become a gold member. The answer was that I had to have a maintenance agreement meaning they have to come out to my house and perform some kind of review. I need emergency service and was willing to do what they wanted to get the service and they said no. This is the kind of disservice this BIG company provides. Look elsewhere read more

I had a gas leak in my home from one of the lines that leads to my furnace. Corning gas came out and told me it's a simple fix and just a connector. They gave me the number of someone who does side jobs to do it. I had a hard time getting a hold of said person and they were unreliable and unresponsive. So as the weather got colder I decided to contact Isaac's. They told me it'd cost $250 for the part. But would take a few days to order. Okay fine. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard anything. Mind you it's getting colder out. I call them and they told me they got the part and that I just need to schedule an appointment. Cool would have been great to know that?? I scheduled the appointment and they told me it's actually going to cost $450. Ok... Now I'm a little pissed but okay. They come for the appointment and are fixing it and then tell me it might actually be a $300 upcharge for a pressure test as well. That's then $750. For a part. So I can heat my home. Thank the Lord corning gas doesn't require the pressure test, but on one end, I wasn't told that there would be any of these up charges or even the possibility of it. Meanwhile I'm trying to do as many upgrades and repairs to my home as possible bc I just bought it a year ago and it's a fixer upper. So to go from $250 to potentially $700 and to not call me back once the part was in or let me know I need to call and schedule the appointment. Just didn't seem professional at all and very pricey. read more

DO NOT call Isaac for a heating serice call unless you want to wait 1 to 2 weeks with no heat. I used Isaac for years with great service. The company was sold, good luck getting a tech even when you pay monthly service agreement. the new answering service system people sound like totally untrained. I am so dissappointed because the technicians like Thaddeus and Josh are wonderful professional knowledgable techs. I called for no heat in september, had to wiat 9 days for tech. I recalled last week for same issue, this time I have to wait 11 days. yes they are busy in the fall, BUT, I never had an issue calling Isaac in the fall previous years, they always came quickly in busy season. This is a generous rating. I've had 2 appointments for different services in the past month. Both times they have us the wrong day they were coming, once it was a month difference which is very unacceptable especially since they have our email and phone numbers. Why can't they send a confirmation?!? I took off work based on the dates they initially stated. They also wear muddy boots and track it all throughout the house/carpets. Very unprofessional. Not worth the extra hassle and inconvenience. Find a different place to take your business. read more

We purchased a brand new Lennox A/c unit and air handler through them in 2018. Now on one of the hottest days of the year the compressor has shit down. When we called for emergency service they told us they couldn't send a tech until a week later. We are expecting a heat wave the next few days. Evidently they only cover the eqiupment they install if you pay for a $450.00 service agreement each year. This is just so people know not to do business with this company. Dont waste your time and money. read more

I contracted for a complete bathroom remodel. They took over 6 months and had to return to fix every component they installed. (toilet, shower, vanity. etc.) I'm still left with a torn up lawn where their trucks parked. They tore the vinal floring that was outside the bathroom. The plumbing from the floor to the vanity was not sealed. read more

Let's start by saying that the furnace in question, as well as the small auxiliary furnace that heats an addition on my house, will both be replaced within a year. To me, that makes a service call a pretty important opportunity. I called the number I found on Yelp and explained the symptoms and what steps I had taken to troubleshoot. When I made this initial call I was surprised to hear that parts for old models were probably readily available... "Even on a Saturday?" I asked, and was told that they had warehouses that they could tap into for these parts. The person from Isaac arrived at my house earlier than the specified window of 5pm to 8pm. He said that the reported problem was that the breaker was tripping, not that I was blowing a low voltage fuse, as I described. I corrected him. When he began to survey the furnace, he decided to bend the bracket holding the cabinet interlock switch so it was out of his way. Seriously? Not a good idea. Next he proceeded to strip the left mounting screw for the pc board backplane by spinning it the wrong way when he tried to dismount it. He then got out his meter and looked for voltage at the wires that land to the terminals for the thermostat. After he had his meter set up correctly, he confirmed that there was 24VAC present. Then he played with the damper door before making a call. He went to his van while on the phone; I assume because he didn't want his conversation to be overheard. He was very clearly in over his head and who ever was providing telephone support wasn't much help. He returned to tell me "I don't want to push anything on you but the problem is the transformer. I don't have one on my truck, but I have one at the shop so I'm going to go and get it..." I stopped him and told him that we were finished. I asked if he had the control board in stock as I was led to believe when I called that he board was likely available. I let him know that I had ordered a replacement blower control board while he was on the phone. When it arrived, it took me about 30 minutes to install it and it cost me $85 plus $16 shipping. Together with the $93 that Isaac's person insisted was due before he left my house, it only cost me about $200 and my furnace works like a champ now. Of course I could have had a 50% discount if I'd NOT called Isaac. Isaac's "technician" couldn't follow a signal path and didn't notice the block diagrams in the manual that I had out, nor did he notice the block and wiring diagrams on the back of the blower panel. He really wasn't qualified for the work, he shouldn't have been put in that situation. I won't call Isaac in the future. Ever. The aforementioned opportunity to replace my furnaces will go to someone else. read more

In November 2021 I had my boiler cleaned by this company and, still 3 months later, I have had endless issues with it since. Thousands of dollars of repairs and services all stemming from this "cleaning". I would not recommend Isaac to anybody. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else read more

Jon was very adaptive to our situation and was able to get the job done and give us our much needed central ac. He explained when situations changed in a way that someone with zero experience with central ac could understand. Our water heater starting leaking this past weekend. I called around 3:30pm on Sunday and they were at my home by 5:30 to check it out. Unfortunately, we had to get a new one (it was about 20 years old). The technician contacted the plumber and he was there the next morning to install a new water heater. All together for two visits, a new water heater, and installation it costed us less than $1300. read more

I contacted Isaac to get my furnace working, but they don't service my area which is Westvale. They only go as far as Camillus. You have to drive through Westvale to get to Camillus. I also wanted an estimate for a new furnace and air conditioning, but seeing how they don't service my area, they are out of the running. Also, I called them because because I have seen their trucks in my area. Go figure! read more

The technican sent to my home very young and inexperience. The charges started at 80 dollars and increased with each conversation he was unable to diagnose the problem alone and another tech assisted him. I was charged for extra tech and refused to negotiate the bill . I also put a deposit on a part needed to replace a valve which they would not refund. I would not recommend this company very poor business practices . read more

I called Isaac to schedule a service call because my boiler was leaking and the amount of water was concerning. They serviced the boiler 8 months ago and installed a new valve (this is what was leaking). They offered me a service date 20 days out. I asked to speak to a tech or manager, none were available. I told the operator I was concerned it was a safety issue. Thankfully, I called a different company and they were available the following day. They had to replace the valve again, amongst various other repairs that had obviously been overlooked the last 5 years we've used Isaac. As it turns out, part of the boiler had corroded and there was also a small gas leak. So glad I decided to call another company.... 20 day wait for a repeat customer that expressed safety concern, wow! I will NEVER use Isaac again read more

He walked me through step by step everything he did and showed me how well he was able to clean everything. Would highly recommend their services. We bought a new heating and a/c system almost 2 yrs ago to the date. It was in the 90s on Memorial Day. The a/c was just blowing hot air. 24/7 service their ad says. The next day we started calling at 8 am and hung on the phone for 1 hr 20 minutes before we had to leave for appt. Finally reached a customer service rep who couldn't send somebody out till Friday night from 6 - 9 pm. She advised us $89 for him just to come out. Ok. He arrived a few minutes early. Great. Our initial contract reads: "10 year parts warranty". After 2 hrs. of trouble shooting and 4 calls to somebody (who we have since been advised was he was "training a tech" obviously on our $). It was a part that "never goes" - a hard start capacitor which isn't part of the covered warranty. $400 was the bill! Got no satisfaction from the branch mgr. He told us we could go back to Lennox and take it up with them. And if you bought their outrageous "Gold Star Service" the part would've been covered. Not impressed at all with Isaac Heating and A/C. Good with install, but shocked at their repair charges on a such a new unit. We upgraded our old system, so we didn't have to be faced with this in retirement. read more
