More recent experience hasn't been that great, After the last repair, Agway discontinued my service contract saying that the (Falso) technician said that is failed inspection, I contacted the Falso technician and he said he Didn't know what they were talking about but he would look into it and get back to me but he never did :-( My hot water water heater stopped working the other week, Falso sent a technician down & charged $100 to tell me that it is indeed broken, he didn't really inspect it or give me any advice as far as the ventilation or the current set up he just said that it's broken and if I give him another $1100 he will have it fixed I called Home Depot and got a real inspection done, found out that ventilation did need to be upgraded and they sold me a similar water heater that the Falso technician recommended, for $600 (plus the cost of installation) read more

I was told my air conditioner had a refrigerant leak and was quoted approximately $12,000 to replace the entire system. I instead sought a second opinion. Another HVAC company repaired the leak and restored the system to proper operation for $1,404, eliminating the need for replacement. My experience appears to be consistent with that of another customer. In a Yelp review dated May 13, 2026, Terrence D. of North Syracuse described a nearly identical experience involving the same Falso Service Experts representative, A.J. Martino: "Routine maintenance check gone bad. Was told I had a leak in my AC... quoted $10,000 to diagnose, not even counting a repair. $12,000 to put in a new unit. Mr. Martino is all about install and sales, not repairing a unit for a loyal customer. Another company came in and repaired the unit... Total charge $2,000." While I understand that repair estimates can legitimately differ between contractors, these repeated incidents suggest a pattern of using routine maintenance appointments to steer customers toward costly repairs or complete system replacements rather than reasonable repairs. Made a late afternoon appointment online. They called the next morning to see if I was available earlier. Yes, great. Waited at home all day for them to just show up a half hour earlier than my original appointment. Technician looks at my hot water tank and mentions a $99 diagnostic fee. Ok. After about 5 minutes of troubleshooting the same things I did from googling the blinking code on the tank he says they don't operate on the brand of tank I have, just want to replace it. If no stars was an option that would be my review rating for Falso. I was a monthly maintenance customer and received periodic maintenance checks for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and furnace. My impression based on service techs is that they are more in the business of sales than anything. The tipping point was last week when they came to perform routine maintenance on furnace. Spent 30 minutes in basement taking pictures of furnace internals to only tell me I need to replace furnace ASAP. Showed me pictures taken on IPAD however if it was that serious why not show me while they had the furnace open? Quoted $8.800.00 for new furnace and was pushing their new "Advantage Program". The "Advantage Program" is a lease for the equipment with a lien on your home. The furnace is a Lennox for which you need to be an authorized dealer to sell (ie: Falso) . You are married to them. Have purchased a new name brand furnace from a trustworthy company for $3,000.00 less that what Falso quoted. The service rep who informed took the pics of furnace internals actually questioned me as to why I have them come to our home? I attribute this to the fact that they wanted to sell me new hot water heater last year, I balked at their questionable repair to A/C and now they furnace. He claimed that they reason people opt for the monthly maintenance plan is to be "Proactive" in replacements! (HUH?) On 2 separate occasions I had service reps indicate to me to perform a repair while they are here today it would be X however if they have to come back it is Y. Where Y is substantially more. On both occasions I chose to do nothing and to-date I have no issues. But I would be most concerned with their latest efforts to steer customers to their "Advantage Program". It is an open least of the equipment with a lein on your home. They quote it and push it with follow-up messages offering to make payments for first 6 months. 1-star review I had a very disappointing experience with Falso Heating & Air Conditioning. On December 8, 2025, they were out for a routine preventative service call on my furnace. After they left, we noticed an unusual smell we worried might be gas and discovered we had no heat. The house dropped to 64°. I called Falso and clearly explained both the possible gas concern and the lack of heat. Despite advertising emergency service, I was told the earliest someone could come was the next day after 4 pm, with no real sense of urgency. Because I did not feel safe waiting that long, I contacted National Grid's emergency line. They responded promptly, tested for a leak (thankfully there wasn't one), and determined that the furnace had not been plugged back in after the routine service call. A basic error led to hours without heat and a lot of unnecessary worry, and when I reported the problem, I did not receive the timely support I reasonably expected. I'm very grateful to National Grid for taking the situation seriously, but based on this experience I can't recommend Falso and feel a 1-star rating is appropriate. read more

Called ahead of pre-scheduled appointment to give further info. I have used their services in the past and every time pertinent info is not conveyed to techs when they arrive. At time of call was informed that "they are booked far out and may not be able to provide service". As if they were trying to dissaude me from using their services. Agreed to have the tech come out still as weather is cooling off and would rather have some info as opposed to none. Tech barely glanced at furnace before declaring he would not be able to service and best bet is to find another service provider. Makes no sense to have a company discourage customers, especially ones who have used them in the past (they called me multi times over the summer asking if I needed any services btw). $1,600.00 bill for a $3.50 part and 1 hr labor. I have retired to Florida at 77. I am selling my N.Y. home. In order to get it on the market I called Falso to fix a leaking pipe under a wall hung sink. The verbal estimate was $600.00, very very high, I agreed. Gave Falso my credit card information. Received no bill but did have a $1,600.00 charge from them on my statement. After calling the credit card company I got the amount changed to $600.00. The bill then arrived and they are chasing me for the stolen $1,000.00.These people have no ethics what so ever. DO NOT HIRE THESE THIEVES. I have pictures of bill and $3.50 1/2 inch pipe. Had the absolute worst experience on a repair call for our A/C unit. We placed a call to have them service our A/C letting them know that we suspected that we were low on refrigerant. Instead of asking us about the model of the unit, they came out to "diagnose" the unit and proceeded to tell us we were out of refrigerant. Well duh! Ok no big deal, they probably get a lot of calls from customers who claim to know what's best. The kicker was that they didn't have any refrigerant (or claimed not to) as our unit used the discontinued R22. So then it turned from a service call to a sales call. The service tech then spent the next 20mins trying to tell us that NOBODY could service the unit, as NOBODY carried R22, and that we needed to replace our unit becase a) it was old, b) it was against the law to have a unit that used R22, c) our home needed something bigger, d) that the replacement should also update our furnace and then proceeded to quote us $12,000 !!! WTAF! For reference, it's about $4000 on the high side for a 3ton unit. When I declined and told him we would have to get other estimates, he then proceeded to continue selling us on their product and then said that based on our configuration, we wouldn't get anything less than $12K! Also, wished us good luck getting someone to add R22 to our existing unit, and proceeded to charge us $106 for the 15min diagnostic to tell us something we already knew! Shameful on this company. So, we ended up calling around and found 3 companies that were willing to add R22 (which btw is still sold in a recycled format, and includes a one-time use dye pack by state law to check for leaks) and had a company at our house in under 3 hours and cost us $675/- for an emergency off hours repair. These guys lost out on business claiming to not have any R22, and opted to try and sell us on a new unit. Please please please, call around and do your research before hiring these guys! read more

Have an older hot water heater so called around to get quotes for a new one.Falso said they'd send a representative over within the hour to give me a free estimate. The representative attempted to help by cleaning the heating coil of my hot water heater with a dollar bill? In the process, he broke the heating coil off. I contacted the company and a Paul Wallace promised me I would be reimbursed for the electric coil and they would send a tech to install it. I bought a new one, andThey did send someone who installed it, but they installed it and left immediatelywithout testing it. The coil doesn't heat up, even though it's brand new. it hasn't been hooked up properly. There has been no word back about getting reimbursed for the coil igniter I had to buy. So basically, I agreed to a free estimate, they sent people who came and broke my hot water heater and now they're burying their heads in the sand, ignoring my phone calls and emails. No wonder they only have a two star rating here and a very bad rating with the Better Business Bureau. Don't call these people and don't let them touch your equipment. read more

Unable to find a furnace repair company for immediate service on my gas/hot water furnace I contacted Falso heating and a/c despite their poor Yelp customer ratings. The two Falso technicians arrived promptly. One technician was for repairs. The job of the second technician was unclear. The furnace was making hot water for the water tank but was not doing so for all three of the other zones. The stated problem with the furnace was a poorly grounded water pump switch box. The technician stripped out the old ground wire and replaced it. Despite this the furnace zones did not function. The control module, which was working fine was no longer functioning. The technician tapped on the top of the control module saying this was the problem and replacement would cost $700. At this point, the second technician's job became clear..he was a salesman. He claimed that the furnace was emitting dangerous gas at the outdoor exhaust vent and this would legally prevent them from performing any further repairs. he then quoted the price of a completely new furnace at $22,000. He also offered to discount the $700 control module to $350 if we agreed to pay the $22,000. My wife and I gave technician #1 a check for $350. At this point, we began to wonder why we needed to replace the control module on the old furnace if we were replacing it with a new $22,000 furnace. My wife and I decided to think this situation over. The following day, we called a friend with some hvac experience. Our friend determined that the reason the furnace would not run was because someone had turned off the gas line. This could only have been done by the Falso techs since I was unaware of where the gas line was on the furnace. Subsequently, upon opening the gas line, the furnace fired up normally and began to make hot water for the water tank. The broken control module operated perfectly. It was also obvious the Falso techs had shut off the gas , lied about the non-functioning module and taken our $350. Luckily, we were able to stop payment on our $350 check. I then replaced all zone switches which turned out to be fairly easy given some help from our friend. Several phone calls from Falso have prompted us to make a complaint against Falso heating/ac with the NYS Attorney General's Office. I would encourage other Falso victims to do the same. read more

Terrible company to do business with. Questionable ethics and lacks integrity. My 26 yr old daughter and her fiance had their boiler quit working during the sub zero cold spell so the opportunist at Falso came over and said there was no fixing it. In fact the the Tech claims it was too dangerous and claimed a high corbon monoxide risk. They quoted $26K and offered 10 yr financing that would result in a $39K total payout to Falso. Falso then dropped off 3 cheap low quality space heaters that we attempted to use wihout success for about 6 hrs. We ended up buying and borrowing heaters. My daughter was pressured into signing a contract that she coud cancel within 72 hrs. The salesman told her no other companies would be available anytime soon and would be expensive. She did cancel and the salesman at Falso called her demanding $600 for the rental of the heaters for 2 days. The salesman and sales manager told her that if she did not pay they would hire a collection agency and if she wrote a negative review they would sue her for defamation. We hired someone who cleaned the boiler, tightened a connection, cleaned the chimney, replaced a few air ducts and restarted the boiler all for $500. I am surprised and shocked that this company could still be in business. I used Falso several years ago and was pleased with the service, however that is not the case anymore. I suspect they must have had a change in ownership or management as I believe this is the worst managed company I have experienced. First, I am also making a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's office. They claim 24/7 service, not true, nor what I experienced. A plumber had visited my home at 400pm on Friday and said someone would get back to me by Monday.(certainly not 24/7) Tuesday, I started to call this company only to be told the person I would need to speak with was busy either at lunch or in a meeting. I had called Falso an additional 3 times before I had contacted a reliable plumber. The plumber from Falso said they had difficulty in getting a quote for the work that I needed (a new sump pump), 4 days later they could still not give a quote nor could anyone return my calls. Two days after I had contacted Falso I had called a reliable plumber. Within 2 hours the plumber was here and in 45 minutes the problem was solved. What bothers me the most is that this company should be taken to task for advertising 24/7 service which they really do not offer. Look at the other Yelp reviews and see how poorly others rate this company. I am also contacting the Better Business Bureau to complain about their advertising. They have over 21 complaints just in 2025 and here we are only halfway through the year. I work in a position in which I come in contact with many people. I often talk about service, and this will be a horror story I will share for years to come. A company that should be ashamed of itself for poor service and false advertising. On March 5, 2025, my sewer was draining slowly. I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Syracuse, and a technician named John W. came. He charged me $74 and said the main sewer trap by the street needed to be dug up and replaced. He gave me two quotes: $7,211 to replace just the trap, or $12,510 to replace the trap and the pipe to my house. He mentioned other plumbers would charge $241 just to pull the drain snake off the truck, but he'd try a quick check with the snake down the ventilation pipe. I provided power outside, and he briefly tried the snake, complained how the kick back hurt his hand making his case stronger for his company to do the work I guess. I then got another quote for $13,000 based on John's diagnosis. None of these quotes included fixing the sidewalk. About a month later, my sewer almost completely stopped draining. I had to buy and use a portable camper toilet. Finally, on April 15th, I called Falso Services. Their plumber, Jeff, quickly found the real problem in the basement sewer pipe without needing to bring in equipment to diagnosis the problem. He spent about two hours snaking the pipe from the toilet and cleared roots that were blocking it. He also gave me advice on how to prevent future root growth. The service cost $1000 and it was were worth it. (PS, I live at the service location, not Portsmouth, VA) April 28, 2025: Today, one day after writing this review my plumbing backed up again. My A/C stopped working so I called up and instead of asking for details, they just tried to sell me some service plan as soon as I started taking. They tech was here in two days and he quickly stated that regarding my furnace, "It blew up," and that my unit was so old that replacement parts were not an option. The prices I was given for a new furnace to make my A/C work was at LEAST $23,000! And then I had to pay them $210.00 just for coming out. FOR WHAT!?! They took two panels off, looked at it and said, "Yeah this needs to be replaced." And then the other guy started in on financing options, 10 year plans, monthly payments and other nonsense. Apparently that costs $210!!! For what!?! They didn't even do anything!!! Luckily I had another contractor here and he pulled me aside and said he could do everything they just offered for less than $4,000 so I immediately gave him the job on the spot. Don't EVER use these scam artists! They will try to sell you some crazy services you don't need and tell you, "You're not paying for longevity, you're paying for a quality product and service." Also they told me their payment plans are for 10 years and that's about how long the unit will last. Great, so as soon as I pay it off I gotta buy a new one. They came to my house to conduct a pre-winter maintenance check. I was told my furnace had dangerously high CO2 levels and that by law, they must disable it. They also checked my hot water heater and said that needed to be replaced.. they quoted me $6300 for replacement furnace, and $2800 for a hot water heater. I called another local company for a second opinion. This company did a complete inspection and showed me everything they were doing.. the final analysis was that my furnace had no issues. The water heater had a pinhole that was not causing any issues at this time. My opinion is that the Falso Techs and the Falso sales person that was with them tried to scare me by stressing how unsafe my furnace was. We've been pushed off a few times for our 2024 inspection and, yet, they keep calling us to schedule our 2025 inspection when we have, as of 21 January 2025, gotten our 2024 "free inspection" in spite of paying for our membership more than a year ago. Requested service to troubleshoot why the AC fan was struggling to occasionally turn on. I assumed the fan motor might be going bad, and may need to be replaced. Technicians came out and told me that they wouldn't perform maintenance on it due to how old the unit was, and that the solution would be to buy a new ac unit and furnace before either stopped working (never mentioned issues with my furnace), and charged me $210 for their "service." Would not recommend calling Falso if you need maintenance done on your unit since they only send out salespeople who aren't willing to actually troubleshoot. read more

Sometime during the coldest day of the season our furnace decided it needed a break. At first we didn't notice because the circulator fan continued to blow air around but it began to get cooler. We called Falso for emergency service. I explained the situation to the scheduler and was told that they did not have anyone available for service until Tuesday - unless I was a "preferred customer" and then we would go to the head of the line. Apparently buying the furnace from them does not qualify as a preferred customer. We negotiated around that by saying we would pay the fees when the tech came - and they scheduled us. The Tech called us and said he'd be there in about an hour. And then texted us to say that because were not preferred customers our ticket had been closed out. They had not had the courtesy to even call us to say they had done that. After several calls and a lot of B.S. we gave up and went else where. The long and the short of this is that Falso's Emergency Service is only for their preferred customers. Everyone else can pound salt. It was after hours but they were here within an hour and a half after our call. The techs were very pleasant and thorough, fixed the issue and explained very clearly what was done. We were also given an emailed document of the information and separate receipt. We have a 30 day guarantee for this service call so if there is a problem to call and they will be back at no charge. Falso Heating came to my residence on 11/24/24 for a service. which was approved by me and charged to my account $106.92, this disputed charge of $172.24, I was not aware of approving during this service call. The technician was having trouble with his i-pad and actually called his boss to try to figure out how to do the electronic payments. I was not aware that i had signed for a down payment for a future service. Falso was more interested in selling me a new furnace or additional repairs than troubleshooting the problem. Turns out all my heating system needed was a new thermostat, not an $800 gas valve, and their 2 person service team made the electronic payment very confusing and unclear. I have spoke to Falso, when they called to do the additional $800 plus repair and told them I did not approve this additional work and would be calling Empower to dispute this charge. They called and we spoke on Monday 12/2 and I have not received a call back as promised to date. This is very predatory behavior form this large corporation and I will never use or reco read more

I noticed my toilet was leaking a little bit of water, so I called Falso as I was expecting the wax seal to need replacing. They gave me an estimated time between 1-5 pm to show up, which I figured was normal and proceeded The technician showed up around 3-3:30 pm. He did not seem very knowledgeable and kept using their "new tablets" as an excuse. I figured that the tablets were probably new and it's annoying to have to learn a new tool while on the job, so I let it go. He proceeds to take the toilet off of the ground, and confirms my suspicion that the wax seal and flange need repair. He then proceeds to try to tell me he can just stack 2 wax seals on top of each other and that will solve the problem. He also tells me that he doesn't have a wax seal or flange adjuster in his van and would have to go out to buy them. I wonder what he might have in his van if he doesn't even have these minor repair tools. He then says since it's close to 5 now, their parts store is closing soon and doesn't know if there's a Lowes or Home Depot nearby. I question this as Falso claims to be a local business. I don't live in a rural neighborhood at all. In fact, lowes and Home Depot are within 10 minutes from my house. I tell him this and he fumbled around until he ultimately agrees to go to one of those stores. Like I said, these stores are within a 10 minute drive from my house. He then proceeds to be gone for 45 minutes. By now, it's getting late and what I thought was going to be a quick and relatively cheap encounter (less than $400), he then quotes me ~$1200. I took a moment and came back about to say no because that's far too much for a wax seal and flange adjustment. Right when I come back to him to tell him no, he says he called a coworker and changed the quote to $543. He then says he's going to wait for his coworker to show up and he'll be here in 20 minutes. At this point, it's been close to 3 hours and I'm done. I thanked him for all his help but I've decided to go with a friend who can do it in no time. I paid the fee for him to show up and the fee for him to leave my house to buy the parts (so $200). Very unhappy with this service and he seemed very confused about what he needed to do the entire time. read more
