My advice is stay away…read more Long story short................. Was referred to Dr. Perez for a suspected Actinic keratosis right in the middle of my nose. Guess what? He missed it. Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. My opinion is low class for not telling me my insurance was not valid at that office, also if the cancer had not been caught and spread? Not cool! Any good attorneys out there? Honestly in disbelief and do not say you were not warned. Denny

I continue to see UDA due to the great photo documentation of areas of concern. However, I am very frustrated with the pattern of them running over an hour behind in the past 2 or 3 years. At my most recent appointment, the Dr. Hoang was 95 minutes late while I sat in a room in a ridiculous paper gown that tore easily on an exam table that directly faces the exam room door. It is an uncomfortable waiting experience for 5 minutes...let alone 95 minutes. My appointment was for 10am...much too early to be running THAT far behind. The office is kept clean and tidy, so that is a positive. Also, I can not speak for the 2025 billing, but I almost always have to reach out to them to get refunds. They are quick to accommodate when I reach out, but not sure what would happen if I did not. $37.67 in 2022, $101.67 in 2023, $385 in 2024 due to multiple appointments/biopsies. If you chose this practice, my advise is to schedule for early morning appointments and make sure that you watch your insurance/billing.

I have mixed feelings about this dermatology practice. My appointment was made on ZocDoc.com and…read moresomeone called me to confirm the appointment. One the one hand I was easily prescribed medication (albeit expensive) for my two concerns, a rash on my forehead and melasma (I've been dealing with for 8 years) and both have worked incredibly well! Like a miracle. I did not experience any rudeness with the front desk ladies as other reviewers have described, though, when booking the appointment (just a skin check of my moles) I was told they are so overloaded with clients trying to get skin checks (due to holding off because of the pandemic) they could only check half of my body. Well. Fine. I guess half my body checked is better than none, however I doubt there will be any sort of discount when I have to make another appointment to check the other half of my body. Dr. Herlihy herself was nice, listened to my concerns and quickly accessed half of my body, removing two suspicious moles to be biopsied. I have melanoma on both my parents sides, so it's kind of a stressful situation. A week later I received a voicemail that they had my results and wanted to go over them with me. I called back but was waiting half an hour, the automatic call waiting gave me an option to leave a message, so I did. I was never called back. A few days later I tried again. Same deal. I messaged them on Facebook, they said they'd tell the front desk to call me ASAP. The Patient Portal thing I had to sign up for just has my appointment in it, but the Lab Results is still empty. So, do I have cancer? I don't know, but I'd like to think because they are in no hurry to actually inform me maybe that's good news that their benign?

After approximately one year as a patient at this facility, I am deeply disappointed by the level…read moreof care and professionalism I have experienced. My concerns began during my very first visit, when I was incorrectly charged $85 despite having already met my deductible. Resolving this billing error took months of follow-up on my part before a refund was issued. I extended grace and continued returning as a patient. Most recently, I came in for a routine refill for a chronic skin condition with only $10 remaining on my deductible. I was not informed upfront that I would be charged $95 for what amounted to a visit lasting under 10 minutes with two questions asked. When I expressed at the front desk that I was unable to pay the full amount at that time, I was told my prescription would be withheld -- despite the fact that the practice would still be billing and receiving payment from my insurance. What troubled me most was not the financial issue itself, but the manner in which it was handled. The staff member, Stephany, was dismissive and condescending, both in person and during a follow-up call I made the same day. There was no attempt to offer a solution or treat me with the courtesy I had consistently extended to this office. I understand that healthcare is a business, but patient care and basic professional courtesy should not be sacrificed for it. I will not be returning and would caution others to carefully review billing practices before establishing care here.
